good price for helsinki
dirty kitchen bad ventilation in the kitchen(especially when cooking the room got all smoked up) and in the showers
Free WiFi was available everywhere. Staffs were kind and location is good.
I know it's not easy to maintain the good facilities in hostel, but pots or pans were not that useful.
good facilities, beds and rooms were nice, nice couches, good showers...though a curtain would have been nice. kitchen was well equiped but FILTHY
dirty kitchen. and there were alot of old men staying there and russian famillies. it was a weird environment. ALSO what seemed to be a homeless man slept on the couch outside hte female dorm. and seemed to just be living there. He smelled and had his hands down his pants. I think this would be a great hostel if they put an age limit for guests and tried to make it more young-people-backpacker orientated. and removed people who arent actually guests.
The rooms are super clean. Although they seem super cramped but they are comfortable. The staff is super nice. the kitchen is nice and you could cook a full meal there.
The bathrooms are super far from the rooms - bathrooms are not very clean and there are no fans in either bathroom or shower - so they always smell. The entrance /common are are not the nicest, its big, but its not cozy or nice... The place is bit expensive for what you get ...
Toilet and bathroom wasn't clean.
The Wifi works perfectly, the staff is very friendly and helpful!
a lot of hair and mold in the shower; one shower was broken; toilets are too small; kitchen is pretty dirty; weird people hang out there and some of them smell very bad (long-term staying people); location and the quarter are not so nice
If you're travelling on a budget, CheapSleep is passable. It is what it's called, a cheap place to sleep. Don't expect too much more than that. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Location is both positive and negative - it's halfway to the airport, but it's also halfway to the city, so you have to take the bus. Fortunately bus and tram stops are a 2 minute walk away, and quite frequent. Security is pretty good - lockers require a keypass to open, beds are comfy enough, showers are hot, toilets are clean. Book cheap sleep if you don't expect luxury.
Being a budget hostel, there are pretty strange characters who stay here (what appears to be permanently), thus it's not really a social hostel where you can meet cool people to hang out with. There is quite a lot of mould on the ceilings in the showers (just don't look up though, the rest of the showers are clean enough), kitchen is quite dirty and there is not quite enough equipment for more than 2 people to cook at one time. Location is pretty far from the city (no way you could walk) so you have to take the bus, but as mentioned, buses are close by and quote frequent.
it is really excellent with such price.
the cleanliness of the pantry could be improved.
Cleaness, bed, common room, shower.
Check-in only after 2 pm, I have to wait for so long time!
even though dorm rooms are large (16 people) the room is set up like an office with a few beds to each walled off cubical which increases privacy and comfort immensely. good sized lockers no padlock require supermarket right beneath the hostel the finnair bus stops right outside and public transport is 1 minute around the corner great wifi clean
the staff weren't overly friendly on my first stay however after returning from travelling around Finland a few days the guy that checked me in was very friendly and made me feel more welcome than my previous visit. so i guess its just pot luck there. the hostel is a little far for the centre but the walk there is beautiful (around the lake) and you get to see some key sights
easy to take a bus for go to Airport. Every security facilities can work one card like main door, room door and personal locker.
little bit noise from lounge. personal locker is little bit smaller than almost big pack or carrier. so I can leave small back pack like that.
Plenty shower room. Safe individual locker. And most of all a good place to meet new friends
No storage for the luggage if you check out.Have only 2 toilets for men.
-Great value for the money -Nice and interesting Kallio and Vallila areas near -Friendly service -Grocery store right next to hostel
-Could be cleanier, although it was OK all in all
all the things are in its order the lobby is large and cozy atmosphere is also nice to make a friend with others the reception speaks fluent English
there are many people in one room
Bed was very comfortable and surprisingly private for a big shared room. Excellent common area. Very friendly staff. Very clean.
Somewhat worn bathroom equipment
Have to say, 24 eur/night is way to expensive for it. Especially if I have to go to the bathroom and shower throught the common hall full of men. As a young women I am not comfortable with that at all. Heating would be awesome too. Otherwise good for one night stay.
Everything kept clean. Facility was enough and there was a supermarket next to hostel. Staff was so kind and can speak English.
The nearest trum(No.1) couldn't use so a bit unconvenient to access to centre.
Could be a bit cleaner Lot of noise in multi bed dorm
Computer+internet, no queue to toilet and shower, wifi, spacious lobby, easy to get to the Vantaa airport (bus stop is less than 5 minutes walk).
no space in the fridge, not clean.
Extremly strong smell of chlorine in the morning in the bathroom.
Hostel contained a large common room with a fully equipped kitchen.
Big lockers, doors are opened with magnet card. Beds are labeled, no need to search for a free one.
Too many people, too noisy. Only 2 WC for large amount of guests.
Location was not far from the city center and it's easily accessible by tram or buses. It was fairly cheap.
Not very clean. The beds are so noisy even when people turns around while sleeping will wake you up.
Clean, beds comfortable with private light and power socket. Easy to find when taking public transport.
Long walk across the common area to the bathrooms and showers. The showers had poor privacy; would expect better for the price. Wifi had no security.
