Easy & Good location for airport bus stop and trams to city. Clean and warm room Common room is spacious.
Bathroom was smelling. Not good ventilation.
The staff is very helpful.
The showers are realy dirty . The beds are crowded in the rooms. I couldn't check in till at14.
The place is clean with large common area where one can make friends. I see many hostellites cook as well which is a budget way to handle their meals. A supermarket is located just below the hostel so it is very convenient. The security system is very good as well - card access to the hostel, room and locker. Taking public transport is convenient.
It is far from city centre if one walks. So I would advise one to take the tram or bus to get around to the city.
Nice location, either take a bus/metro to city center or a nice long walk. In a decent area with a food store just below it and resturant sand bars nearby
The male who was working in the enenings was kind and helpful and friendly, but the female who worked durning the day was rude, did not want to help anyone, seemed like she did not want to be there and that the patrons were an annoyance to her...she needs some hospitality training!! The bathrooms were dirty. The kitchen and dinning area was also dirty.
Actually it is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Clean showers, cozy rooms, noise isolation, located near to Kallio!
Great with internet and large kitchen space
Why are toilets so far away from everything and for sure not a cheap sleep
It's very nice hostel. Staff is really helpful - they answered for all my questions and were friendly. It's a little bit far to city centre (on foot) but nearby is a bus station, so you can go there very fast. It's a good way to sleep in this city!
Stayed in a private room. Very clean, quiet, good kitchen amenities.
I would prefer to book one more time on this hostel if I come back to helniski next time. There has enough cookery tools, equipment, and the locker for you to securite your personal items. And it's easy to use it because you only put your card on the key lock.
I don't like the bathroom, it seems very barely when you are shower. Because between the shower room, there is only the transparent window. And it's not good for you when you have finished from the toliet, you need to walk to other room to take. Shower.
- Location > not far to the centre - quite clean
- Cleaning times in the morning between 7-9 - unlucky time as I would say - when everyone wants to take a shower etc.
Not clean Drunker.
Bed does a lot of noise I got there before 9 am and had trouble to left my bags, because they open after this time. I was luck some guest open to me and said I could let my bags and let a note. I had to trust, because I just let my bag in the middle of the room! Nothing happened and I could enjoy my day!
Comfortable beds, I like the kitchen & the lounge & the couches, very relaxed atmosphere
The washroom were always dirty and we NEED more PRIVACY in the shower area
The provision of cooking facilities help me to eat what I wanted and not forced to barely eat what was available.
Cost of the facility as I booked same day was too high and was used to reference other days. That made it quite expensive. About three hundred euros was too expensive for a 20 bed hostel for one week. Besides, it's barely summer.
- good location (bus 515/520 from and to the airport at the corner (5min walk), tram at the corner, metro 10 min walk - grocery at the groundfloor - good sushy restaurant not far - price - very good night of sleep (people were calm even though we are 14/room) - big lobby
- only 2 wc for men - the showers, one is destroyed - too small lockers for a big luggage
Price, Showers, helpful staff.
Too many people (long term residents??) hanging around drinking.
Dirty pillows, dirty linen, dirty quilt cover. I wanted new ones but they were also dirty and they were smelling bad. There was no washing machine.
Great facilities. Friendly staff. Huge common area plus kitchen. Location is far enough from the centre but the tram is very close so makes it simple to get there. Also has a good bar district nearby (Kallio).
Can't really blame the hostel for this but it really wasn't social at all. Lots of people there but nobody was interacting with eachother outside of their groups.
Far away from the center and not so cheap. Wifi isn't working properly.
beds have a personal light and a power socket. Lockers. Security is ok. Even the rooms are big they are well planned. High ceilings. There is a supermarket on the first floor. Some beds are located in much better places then others - that is if you are lucky.
1. The main bathroom has many shower cabins and half of them do not even have curtains. This is a low standard. Bring your own slippers for the shower. 2. Some guests do not care to behave quietly - they speak loudly, make noise when sorting their things in plastic bags, slam doors. But maybe it was only my room... 3. There are three fridges and they are completely full. At least one more is needed. 4. Charge for a towel is 2 EUR.
This place is huge, and it definitely looks like they know how to deal with such a large number of guests.
The staff is a bit cold.
Large communal space with lots of sofas and tables also a second smaller quieter space with sofas was good great wifi computer for use and tv locker shower had amazing water pressure!!! staff were amazing - helpful and polite close to bus stops possible to walk to city train station (pasila)
Kitchen could get crowded
I only stayed for one night, but this hostel looks good. Facilities are clean, beds comfortable, good kitchen and common space. WiFi works good, the guy at reception was helpful. I wish I stayed here during all my stay in Helsinki instead of the other hostel.
The location is out of the way, but I don't think there's any hostels downtown so this would still be the best shot. Probably half an hour walk to the city.
Gleb was an awesome help and told us great places to go and see while we were staying in Helsinki.
The facilities could have been cleaner. The bathrooms get dirty quickly and could have used a cleaning more than once a day. The check-in time was quite late and was an inconvenice to not be able to get in our room until 2 PM.
