Rooms secure, lockers, bedding provided, WiFi, price
Kitchen very messy and dirty, toilets not so clean, lack of privacy in shower, people seem to be living there
the staff was really nice
i have been bitten by bug in the bed !! massive spots !!!! need proper insecticide
The staff was really nice and helpful.
The bathrooms were not so clean.
great staff, clean rooms, nice atmosphere
20 min away from the city center by bus
Even though the dorm was very big, it was comfortable because of the lay-out of the room. The large common room is nice to hang out. Bit out of the city center but convenient public transport.
Toilets and kitchen were not always that clean, but I felt that was mostly because of people who are unable to clean after themselves. And there's always those nasty people who steal other people's food and leave the empty package. Grow up!
Spacious common areas with comfy couches and board games, well-equipped kitchen, nice staff. Loved the room: despite being a dorm, it still felt quite cosy and allowed for some privacy.
One of the showers was faulty (and it happened to be the one I decided to use, of course) Also, I would've preferred not having to walk through the common area in order to get to the showers.
clean rooms and bathrooms fresh air FAST FREE WIFI EVERYWHERE lamp and power outlet by every bed lockers good location
Near the train station
There is only one computer to be used in the hostel with outdated system which allow you to use it only for 10 minutes (roughly). Hostel was empty all time Poor lighting system
Location, staff and bed
Bathroom and toilet not tidy enough, wifi not stable
Good Kitchen! Nice Staff,
No separate place to brush you teeth in shower facilities.
Staff was excellent, and the location has many good amenities near-by. I recommend shopping at the Alepa in the same building for groceries and cooking. Just make sure to clean your mess, as it was frustrating when other travellers didn't do this.
Keysystem with Card. Staff was awesome, great guys. Big Common Area. Great location.
Poor kitchen equipment.
The staff was super friendly and helpful(English speaking). The local map given was very helpful. The Rooms are comfortable and location was with excellent connectivity nearly all buses takes u to the city center. The lobby resembles more like a university like feel good people to make Friends.
Direct bus to the airport Price was reasonable for Helsinki Keycard access and lockers provided (without the need for us to bring locks)
I understand the hostel effort to maximise profit and provide a 26-men dorm, but it gave me a bad experience there. There were people coming in and out at every hour of the night and they showed little consideration. Some guys were warm and decided to open the window with the outside temperature at 0 degrees. People coming into the dorm at 2am can choose to turn on the lights for the entire dorm just for their own purpose. Random hostel mates staring at me when I sleep freaks me out. It was really hard for me to sleep.
good price for helsinki
dirty kitchen bad ventilation in the kitchen(especially when cooking the room got all smoked up) and in the showers
Free WiFi was available everywhere. Staffs were kind and location is good.
I know it's not easy to maintain the good facilities in hostel, but pots or pans were not that useful.
The receptionist junni is super nice～helps me a lot ！i was feel sad when i realize forget to caring my phnoe charger but she helps me borrow one .Thanks！
good facilities, beds and rooms were nice, nice couches, good showers...though a curtain would have been nice. kitchen was well equiped but FILTHY
dirty kitchen. and there were alot of old men staying there and russian famillies. it was a weird environment. ALSO what seemed to be a homeless man slept on the couch outside hte female dorm. and seemed to just be living there. He smelled and had his hands down his pants. I think this would be a great hostel if they put an age limit for guests and tried to make it more young-people-backpacker orientated. and removed people who arent actually guests.
The rooms are super clean. Although they seem super cramped but they are comfortable. The staff is super nice. the kitchen is nice and you could cook a full meal there.
The bathrooms are super far from the rooms - bathrooms are not very clean and there are no fans in either bathroom or shower - so they always smell. The entrance /common are are not the nicest, its big, but its not cozy or nice... The place is bit expensive for what you get ...
Toilet and bathroom wasn't clean.
The Wifi works perfectly, the staff is very friendly and helpful!
a lot of hair and mold in the shower; one shower was broken; toilets are too small; kitchen is pretty dirty; weird people hang out there and some of them smell very bad (long-term staying people); location and the quarter are not so nice
If you're travelling on a budget, CheapSleep is passable. It is what it's called, a cheap place to sleep. Don't expect too much more than that. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Location is both positive and negative - it's halfway to the airport, but it's also halfway to the city, so you have to take the bus. Fortunately bus and tram stops are a 2 minute walk away, and quite frequent. Security is pretty good - lockers require a keypass to open, beds are comfy enough, showers are hot, toilets are clean. Book cheap sleep if you don't expect luxury.
Being a budget hostel, there are pretty strange characters who stay here (what appears to be permanently), thus it's not really a social hostel where you can meet cool people to hang out with. There is quite a lot of mould on the ceilings in the showers (just don't look up though, the rest of the showers are clean enough), kitchen is quite dirty and there is not quite enough equipment for more than 2 people to cook at one time. Location is pretty far from the city (no way you could walk) so you have to take the bus, but as mentioned, buses are close by and quote frequent.
it is really excellent with such price.
the cleanliness of the pantry could be improved.
