Citykoti Downtown Apartments    

We stayed in a studio which came equipped with a kitchen and included a few tea bags, coffee and creamers, sugar and salt, as well as dishes. Free wifi and TV. Close to city center and within walking distance to most places.

There is no reception, so if you are arriving after 5pm, you must make arrangements to pick up your keys

Much natural light, good quality furniture, specially the beds, adequate bathroom and kitchen equipment, very clean.

Works in the building, just near our flat, during 3 days, starting at 7 a.m.

We enjoyed our stay. Finding the hotel or any hotel in that matter in the city of Helsinki is a bit tricky to find since the Street names are very small and found on the side of the buildings. We arrived late so we picked our keys up from the airport which was complete ease. The apt was VERY clean and the linens and duvet covers were fine quality. Location was great, easy to get on the trams to get anywhere. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed.

We paid a good price for our place, so honestly nothing to complain about. The place is small, but cosy and cute. It was great to have a dishwasher and washer, however perhaps it's because they are European appliances it took approx 2 hours and we were asked to be in the apartment while they were running, still not a deal breaker for us as we kept these running at night.

The unit was great but. ........m.

No prior notice or warning that they had placed us on the fifth flokr with only stairs. We are two people in our late 60s, one with two knee replacements, plus two cases! !

Small kitchen available. Used the washing machine in the bath room. Dish washer, coffee maker, toaster, micro, stereo, flatscreen TV, free WiFi available.

Studio is utmost small (I estimate it to be less than 18 m2), when sofa-bed was opened, there was no space to move in the living room area (I estimate it to be round 5 m2 only) . Studio was in 4th floor in a building without lift. To prevent a flooding in the bath room, I had to dig dirt out of the drainage by hand, what a smelly experience. Too expensive for the rate.

It is conveniently located ... in the center of the city ...

The apartment has no lift and it is... ¡¡¡ in the third floor¡¡¡ ... The owners do not give that information ... that is not good The ceiling of the kitchen furniture has not been cleaned for months..

Self contained room with kitchen, washing machine and iron & ironing board. Proximity to all the services, city center and public transportation. Cleanliness. Efficient check in and out service.

Very unreliable Internet connection. Walking up the stairs (five flights!). Shampoo was not enough to cover the length of our stay. Paper towel at the kitchen was also barely enough.

Very nice and clean appartment. Amenities included washing machine and dish washer. Good location, quiet area, with restaurants and supermarket close by.

Our appartement was on the fifth floor without lift, so we had to carry our (heavy) luggage up and down the stairs...

- reduced number of available TV channels - enormous values of possible penalty fees - scary elevator :-)

The location is perfect - close to Subway and Railway Station, but at the same time quiet and cozy . The apartment is equipped with all the necessities, perfect bed linen, towels, kitchen utensils, etc. Staff we contacted for accommodation issues was extremely helpful and professional.

Location, price/quality. I got very detailed and clear instructions where to get the key and how to find the location. Even in Russian. Personal in the office was very helpful.

WiFi worked strange: connection to room router regurarly stopped at the evening, but it was an opprtunity to connect to routers located in the neares rooms.So, finally I had an intrenet.

The apartment suite was new and really spacious with internet and all amenities included! The enclosed balcony was great as it was very cold and we had a really great time and could entertain guests as the apartment was completely set! A really great place!

Not enough spoons and during "wet" months there could be an additional door mat since dirty snow and rain can get around the apartment. Also, it would help if the key can be left in the apartment on the check-out rather than it having to be taken to the office. But really great apartments

Citykoti Downtown Apartments location is very nice since they are situated very close to the railway station and near Kamppi, that means very close to everything (shops, restaurant, etc.). The quality/price is reasonable but not the best in Helsinki actually.

When we arrived at 5 am in the building where the apartement was located we have been shocked. Indeed, the building was under renovation: there was equipment everywhere in the corridors on all floors, even in the lift. When we arrived in our apartement we discovered a document telling us that the staff is sorry about this renovation. But actually we would have appreciated that it would have been written on the website, so we would not have chosen this apartement. We were crazy tired cause of the flight and wanted to rest during next day, but from the morning, guys started to use drills all day long, it was crazy noisy. We decided to leave the apartement. The office staff situated in the same street than the apartement was understanding and accepted to give our money back. For information, we rent another Citykoti apartment in June 2012 which was under renovation as well. An advise: you should ask, before reservation, if renovation is finished.

Really clean and functional, excellent location, by far a cheaper alternative to hotels. Very enjoyable.

No way to control the heating, so it was roasting inside (better hot than cold, though).

Close to the centre of

Windows of the apartment went into the yard with a view to the trash. The yard of a well, the window just to close the curtains. Entrance door of the apartment does not correspond to the outer door, because the door of the interior and audibility, which is done on the stairs is very good.

Flat was very quiet, clean and well designed.

These are suggestions / details (not claims) that can make the stay better. -No Elevators (it should be informed before arrival); -The lower bed (in fact a sofa / bed - furniture) didn't work. It should be mounted as a sofa at arrival. Under the sofa / bed there was too much dust; -The upper bed had too much dust (not clean). I would have prefered to use the upper bed and let the lower as a sofa, in order to have more space in the room; -A small amount of soap powder could be supplied. It would help; -I had enourmous problems with the keys. It was almost impossible to enter into the building (the code didn't work the first time!) and to enter into the room; -The cable TV has many gaps (slots without programs). It's something like this: Total amount of programs=130; available programs=35. A list of availables programs could be supplied to ease the use of TV. In the end, I made such list. -I didn't know that a switch (over the table, next to the sink) must be actuated to use the cloth wash machine. -Since the bathroom is very small, another type of water tap - mixer - shoud be used (if available). Anyway, the one installed worked fine (wich is more important!); -The bath courtain isn't an elegant solution. In a small bathroom it makes the bath uncomfortable. I would have a rigid one.
