It's a very modern and big space. We stayed at the penthouse with sauna (which I never used but it was nice to know it was there). Had everything we needed: climate control, washer/dryer, kitchen, etc.
Expensive -if you are not from Scandinavia. Otherwise fair priced.
Poor communication, the air conditioning did not work from the day we arrived, we were assured it would be fixed the next day & it never happened, sent repeated emails which were ignored, it was very hot when we stayed there, you didn't need a sauna, we lived in one for a week, sleeping on he top floor was impossible as it was so hot, the apartment was supposed to sleep 5, 2 double beds & a lounge, that was not possible as there were broken springs in the lounge & you couldn't sleep on it. had a lot of trouble with the Wfi, gave up in the end. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.
Helsinki, the city.
First of all, IT'S NOT a 5 star apartment, at least now!: the first thing you see when you go off the lift is a glass staircase full of hair, filth and dirt accumulated there for years! (at least in our floor, apt. 54C). That was repugnant! We were in an apartment for 4 adults, we were 2 adults and 2 teenagers and the teenagers had to sleep in an old uncomfortable sofa-bed, the bedlining of the sofa and bed were not clean. Under the sofa bed it was filthy and full of dust. We also stayed there for a week and they don't change bed lining or towels. The apartment is the one they show in the pictures but much older and dirtier, old furniture and poor kitchen tools, with and old fridge leaking water all the time and a greasy oven. For the price you pay you can find better options in Helsinki, I wouldn't recommend it at all! By the way, be careful, this apartment is rated as a 5 star apartment in booking.com but as a 3 star apartment in many other webpages!!! (I feel deceived for paying for something which is not!)
In all, the apartment was good and how it was placated, very near the city of Helsinkki. But then again, we have lived in four-star apartments that had heigher stanadard than this five-star apartment had.
Being a five-star apartment, we were a little bit disappointed at the kitchen-equipment. The kitchen-tools were very sparingly equipped. Also, we were two children and to adults, and the sofa could just hold us all four. The bed-sofa were not all that comfertable to sleep on, but we managed.
location great. price excellent. apartment great and spacious.
just one set of keys to an apartment of six guests.
Perfect. A little bit unstable wifi.
handy location and facilities were good. And the flexibility when we stayed in two different apartments. Loved the sauna! Very helpful and friendly staff!!!
wi-fi did not work too well in a studio we stayed first but was very good at the other apartment(one with sauna)
That's perfect that the appartment is placed near the center (10 minutes by walking from central train station)
It's usual appartment in one of houses Photos are much better than reality No connection with personnel if you have some problems Not bad but in next time I prefer another place)
Great position, close to almost every relevant point of interest of the city The apartment is equipped with everything, spacious, practical, modern and comfortable The sauna is a real plus
No flexibility for the check out The entire apartment was perfectly clean but my sheets were plenty of hair (clearly not mine since I'm bald)
apartment inside environment and facilities
Suana at Citykoti suites was excellent
We lived in fine designed apartments located in Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu, 1, opposite to Citykoti office on Malminkatu, 38. 5th floor, elevator available. It's really comfortably located - 10 min. to Kiasma (museum of contemporary art near the central railway station), 10 min. to Kamppi mall, so you live in center of Helsinki, yet it's really calm and quiet place. There's all necessary dishes and tableware, big fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron with ironing board. Small but cosy sauna. Glass cube-like balcony. These apartments really cost its price. Guarantee payment was returned next week in a few days.
In my case guarantee payment (500 euro) was as twice as big as accommodation price. That's strange :) Check-out time at 10:00 - it was too early for us. We had only one set of keys. That's minor inconveniences, though.
We didn't. Receive fresh towels on time but this was sorted later. And we didn't get parking from the company hence this resulted in a traffic fine!
