The staff were friendly and helpful.
There are a number of problems with this hotel. The single rooms are claustrophobic with tiny beds; not worth the saving of 10 euros. All doors are fire doors which means regardless of where your room is, you hear doors slamming throughout the night which is disruptive to your sleep. And finally, the breakfast buffet is extensive but the quality of the produce is poor - reducing the range but improving the quality would be a huge improvement. Unfortunately it was poor value for money considering it was 100 or so euros a night.
Breakfast was good, sauna was nice.
Room was very cold, no way to regulate the temperature or get it warmer. Cleaning had been sloppy, there was dust everywhere in the room, even found trash from previous visitors. Staff wasn't very welcoming.
It was perfect for a one night stop over on route to more permanent location. Easy to reach from airport and then the bus station. Very pleased with the overall accommodation and breakfast . GVM
Breakfast - it was amazing!
The staff at the evening of our arrival - very unwelcoming.
We got a big room on a top floor with a nice view as we requested. The hotel is in front of a well connected tram and bus stop. Surroundings are quiet. Breakfast is OK. Tea kettle with teas in the room. There are free bikes to use but it rains so much people seldomly use them. The hotel isn't so pricey related to Scandinavian standards.
The whole hotel has an old feeling. The sauna can only be used for 4 hours a day, 2 only men and 2 only women. When we put the bed cover (not a very nice one) on top of the closet a huge cloud of dust came down. Room cleaning is not very thorough. The bathroom was very small for a big room and the water goes out of the shower from a hole underneath towards a shared drain for the whole area. The elevators are tiny and have an old style heavy door that you have to open yourself. Not useful when transporting luggage. The wifi password has to be entered constantly. We had to run down twice on the day we arrived due to a fire alarm and never knew what the real situation was!
Good breakfast and friendly staff.
Location was suitable for us. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Charge has only one exit, via the way where the cars come in. Not very safe feeling when walking up.
Comfortable bed. Price
Awful bar food. The serving times for breakfast were not early enough and I did not see this advertised. So I paid for it but had to leave before breakfast was served. Which is no good on business
Great staff - Reception and housekeeping! Location - Tram #3 and #1A to center in 5 minutes
Facilities No pool Room is small
Location of the hotel is ok, tram station is in front of the hotel, so it was easy to get to the centre. Clean linen.
We got old room with very small bathroom, old furniture, curtains, badcover. There were dust on the floor and on the furniture. Some stuff from old customers in the closed. The price was expensive for such a room.
Service minded staff
Small rooms overall dated hotell Felt a bit dirty and cheap
Clean, friendly staff, good value for money
Not very soundproof (didn't bother my sleep but would be an issue for some), shower closet really small (again, not an issue for me but would be for a big guy).
The location es good if you do not want to be right in the center. Nice breakfast, good choices and nice staff at breakfast. Room had enough space. Wifi signal was good. Lots of information on Helsinki next to reception. Airport bus 10 minutes walk, tram to the center right in front of the hotel.
The room was worn out and overpriced for what you get. Small bathroom, we moved the beds a bit and there was a lot of dust everywhere. You cannot turn off what was like a ventilation/aircon - very annoyng. Breakfast room to small, had to wait to sit. Staff at the reception could be a little better informed e.j. asked for the price of a taxi to one of the ferry terminals and they did not know, neither tried to find out anything...
When I left
Breakfast buffet Spacy room (Superior) A fan in the room
The cleaning stopped, and we had to ask the cleaning ladies for new towels, but they never re-started the cleaning No air conditioning, and it was hot! (26-28 degress)
Most things are excellent during our stay
NO AIR CONDITIONING - NEEDED THAT DURING THE HEATWAVE - WINDOWS CANNOT BE OPENED MORE THAN SIX INCHES.
We visited the Linnanmäki fun part on the next day and hotel was close to it. Price was okey for a Helsinki hotel. Friendly staff, okey breakfast too.
Parking only on the street. Very old fashioned and slow lift. Quite average interior.
good breackfast, large choice
windows could not be opened, no air-conditioning and it was sooo hot in the room!!!
If you want to stay in Helsinki for a short time and want something in the middle range this is the best option, as the price isn't the cheapest but neither the most expensive. The hotel is very accesible by public transportation, staff was nice, room and the rest of the areas were clean, the breakfast was included in the price and was very complete. In my opinion it is a good option in an expensive city as Helsinki.
lovely breakfast, good hotel, tram just outside hotel
no inside door on lift
Small rooms, small bathroom, price/quality ratio - completely crazy
Good location and stay include breakfast till late hour where we can capture longer sleep.
Hot drinking water us no easily avaliable and it cost 50 cents at lobby near reception counter.
price somewhat high for service level
