Everything: it's adress is not a hotel, it's just an office with open time for only 1 hour. Pictures on Booking.com are faked: we got an extremely small apartment for maximal 15 m2, very dirty with strange smell, which located just in the red light street.
The smell of new house
Nice apartment, well equipped and located, nice view from the apartment
You can't choose the location before hand, just have to hope that you're not too far from other destinations on the area.
Location, cleanliness, bathroom
Location is beautiful. Close to train station, big supermarket, 2-5 min walk to any Helsinki transport.
No parking, need to park on very expensive streets. Shower - i haven't seen smaller. Please don't touch kitchen extractor hood - dirty as hell.
- I got a central location, just a minute away from the metro, supermarket, gym, bars and restaurants. - Quiet location, very safe and welcoming. - Staff were extremely nice when they came to check in on us a few days before we left. - Great kitchen with good refrigerator and a set of dishes, pots and pans.
- Their office isn't open on weekends, which sucks if you're arriving on a Saturday, because then you have to pay an extra fee for the keys. - They don't tell you which apartment you get until you email them a day before or pick up the keys, which leaves you wondering where in the city you'll end up. - Was not worth the money. For 3 people, I expected a big living room with maybe two rooms. There was one bedroom, with three tiny beds, and the furniture was alright but not great.
The overall service.
Nothing comes to mind.
1. The location is very central (we lived in the house close to the stone temple) 2. The apartment is pretty clean but I guess it depends on how good the previous guests were in cleaning (need to clean it on your own). 3. Free wi-fi
1. Unfortunately I have only noticed that I cannot cancel my booking without paying for it after I booked the apartment already. My own fault but for all others - please don't miss this point! 2. After I read several comments to the electronic key I wrote an e-mail to Forenom asking if I have to go to the main ofice to pick up the key (and then to check out). I got an aswer that I will get a text message on my mobile at 4 p.m. with the address and the key code, so no need to go to the office. After I didn't get any SMS at 4:15 p.m. I called the main office and they told me I have to pick up the keys personally - till 5 p.m. The office is located at the end of the world, so I just managed to reach it shortly before they closed. 3. I have been booking an apartment for three people. Forenom just noticed it as I was at the main office, so I got one bed sheet and towels set to bring to the apartment on my own. 4. Luckily we decided to go to the apartment first to check how it is. As we arrived we found two beds in the separate bedroom and one 1,5 meter long couch in the living room with no bed function. NEED TO SAY THAT I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH BOOKING.COM AT THIS POINT -when I book for three people I don't expect one of them sleeping on the flor. Please check your hotels/apartments before you suggest them to the people! 5.I had to give the keys back on Sunday till 11 a.m. Forenom told me they were open from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sunday. As I arrived at 10:30 a.m. I found out they were closed sundays. Not a big deal (just threw the keys in the mail box) but does anyone there know what's going on? :) 6. Just FYI: if you cannot manage to pick up the keys between 4 and 5 p.m. or give them back till 11 a.m. you can order a key pick up service for 86 euro. If you didn't manage to bring the keys back till 11 a.m., Forenom charges 400 euro! Next time I pay a bit more but stay at the hotel.
The apartment was really bright, nice, clean, good price.
As I booked this through booking.com I didn't realise that this wasn't like the hotels, that I have booked about million times before (I booked it by looking at the map location, which was totally wrong and random). The price was good, but you have to work for it!! Picking up the keys and even having to drop them off(!!!) is a big big minus, especially when the office is not in the most convinient place. As a business traveller, it was a bit of a hassle. And there is nothing in the flat (apart from towels and bedding), to actually help you to utilise what an apartment offers (no toiletries, detergent for the dishwasher, napkins, salt and pepper, limited amount of toilet paper). So, you would have to buy everything. So I ended up eating out every day anyway. Also, when you book, you don't know where your apartments will be. It should be attached at least to the booking confirmation! The apartment itself was really nice, no complaints, but it was on a bit of a dodgy street.
Large apartment! Big refrigirator and separate, big freezer! Super shower! Good location! We liked soooo much!
A litlebit better to clean floors ;0)
Nice looking apartment , really close to metro station. Perfect for staying with friends or family.
We were able to collect the keys only after 16.00 and the location of our apartment was not given to us until then.
The apartment had a perfect location. Pretty apartment. Ikea decoration.
The office is far away from the center..and you have to get the keys and when you leave also take them back!! In other places I've stayed I just leave the keys inside the apartment and close the door!! No haidryer. It was cold at night in the rooms. In the wall there was an air entrance that we could't close and the cold air from outside was coming.
The office is open for 1 hour a day only for giving keys. I couldn't get on time and after 30 minutes on phone a was offered to get them from a guy that will be near the house I have to stay. He didn't mention I must pay 70 euros for that!!! Plus it wasn't very clean inside the apartment when I came.
City centre location.
Forenom's offices are a 15 euro taxi ride away from where their city centre accommodation is based. There are buses and trams but that's not always easy with bags. They make it clear on their website before booking that keys for accommodation can only be picked up between 4 and 5. When you arrive in the city early however this is a real pain (in addition to having to undertake the journey of getting to their offices). The keys have to be dropped off by 11am on the date of departure. Again you have to travel out to their offices and then probably come back into the city to get the bus to the airport. It's all very inconvenient and they don't do much to make the process easier for their customers.
quiet place,parking place is near
no instractions about rubbish(how and where get rid of),sauna-how it operates(if it does);-)
Staff - in the office and phone at day time - was nice.
First apartment was dirty and smelly. There were post from police to someone who lived there before. There we as well no bedclothes. Second apartment was ok, but the address was hard to find (different addresses in the papers and on the apartment house). Staff at night time had no idea about enything. There were only one hour/day to pick up the keys from the office far away from the center.
