I booked Forenom House in Helsinki for 1 night stay, triple-room for me, wife and kid. Clean room, with bare minimum things - 2 beds + armchair-bed (transformer), 3 chairs, table, bathroom with shower cabin, coffee-maker, kettle, microwave, two dining sets, big flat TV. In the basement of the building there is sauna and kitchen. There is a parking lot around the building. The price is cheap, so value for money is good enough for 1-night stay, if you need quick and simple and cheap stay. This is rather apartment, not a hotel...
It's personnel-less - no service people at all. Electronic locks - to enter the building and your room you need PIN-code, which is to be provided for you at the checkin time of your first day, via SMS and email. BUT- I did not get it, so I had to call their service desk when I arrived. It took about 6 min for these conversation, 19 cents per minute plus roaming charges.
Nice price and quality. Took just as long as 15-20 minutes by metro to the downtown. Friendly staff.
Everything was super clean Microwave and water boiler Comfortable bed No need for a key Friendly staff Close to the metro, 3 stops away from the center Relatively cheap, compared to other helsinki hotels.
Booked was twin room, but delivered was single room, claim was sent by two e-mails to customer service, but no reaction seen so far. Couple dirty knives were found from kitchenware, unregulated air conditioning..etc
Very close to train station and only 2 min walk from grocery shop.
Modern bathron and comfortable shower
Bed was to soft, curtain does not work on one window
Easy to access. Do everything on line. Good size room with kitchen & utensils.
Clean own microwave, fridge, cooker
Not realy coasy but that is not really important.
in a far away district, but near to the metro station, easy to visit the city. nice bed, TV, restroom. near to the supermarket and pharmacy.
checkout time is 11:00 am, it is too early and inconvenient, we had to carry our luggage to the main railway station to be kept. front desk staff's time is not enough to ask for tour helps.
Noora at reception gave me a lot of info with Regards to Finland, real estate and local amenities..Thnaks a lot Noora -was nice to meet you...Yury
* Location, near the underground Station and supermarket * Large, clean and comfortable room * Well equiped (kitchenwares)
* Windows cannot be open.
For long stays, the room was small and it is unreasonable to expect people to do their washing-up in a tiny low wash-basin in the bathroom. Not much storage space and only 2 hangers. We also had difficulty obtaining the code which arrived by Email whereas we had specifically asked for an SMS as we didn't have access to Internet.
Great self service, good location near metro station and grocery stores. Gym in builduing next to.
Good clean accommodation within easy reach of the city by Metro.
Check in was shambolic. We were supposed to receive text and emails messages with door codes. They weren't (and still haven't been) received. They are not clear where free parking areas for cars are. It is not under the building as you would assume. Both issues resulted in long and expensive phone calls to weekend call centre staff who didn't have the information to help. It was extremely frustrating. Others have complained about the same issues and they need to sort it out! It is in a quiet suburban location and eating options are limited.
-They provided all the facility we might need making it so comfy for young travelers like us. -It located near big super market and Halti outlet. -The room size is quite spacious comparing to the same lodging price at other lodging in Helsinki.
-The location is a bit far out of the city center. -The door coding system is cool, however, I encountered the problem for open it up for several times. -The toilet floor can easily get wet due to the same level of the toilet floor with the bathroom floor.
good for its price
some sites wifi does not work properly
Good with some basic crockery and cutlery to use in combination with the fridge and microwave. The location, whilst not in the city centre, is a few minutes walk from the metro. It's easy to get to the centre. There are several supermarkets (one is even open 24 hours) close by as well as a few places to eat. Rooms have good light insulation curtains for the summer months.
Very cold in the room, made it hard to sleep. The sole pillow was extremely fat/thick which was not so good. Cleanliness was acceptable but there was quite a lot of dust in places.
Wonderful location, metro station very close to the hotel, 2 minutes walk. 10 minutes with metro to the city center. Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, big fridge, all necessary kitchen utilities. Free parking!
I didn't receive the special code to unlock the room. The phone numbers of the hotel and customer service (24hours) didin't answer. Fortunately (!!!) the day we arrived there was a girl sitting downstairs, who helped us with getting the code, but we had to wait standing 15minutes, till she finished her phone chat. But next few days there was nobody in the hall. So we were lucky to catch her.
The cleaning people was helpful to solve my problem when I hadn't got door code to get in.
The door code should be sent so late as people may not having access to local network. Then there is no hope to get in the apartment.
quiet close to to two supermarkets good transport to the city
perhaps more attention to pay to clean cuttlery and provide sufficient hygiene material (toalet paper during longer stay)
The place is next to the Metro Rail Station and quite area.Convinient to the Stores and Shops
The Hotel must have an overseer working from 8am - 5pm solving problems and issues from clients
The automation saves a lot of time and energy.
We didn't receive our code quickly enough. It was sent literally a few hours before arrival which wasn't very practical.
The smell in the corridor
Pretty ok location. Close to Herttoniemi Metro station. Food store and pharmacy also next to the hotel. Herttoniemi itself is just a place for sleeping.
Cleaning... I did got strange sms messages to my phone that I need to clean my room before I leave. After that I noticed that maybe customers really were cleaning the room because it had some spiderwebs and stains. So better not to use tableware before you wash it yourself...
