My husband and I had a great stay at the glo Helsinki Kluuvi. We had a free upgrade to the deluxe room, which is clean, spacious, stylish and functional. Location is great, just 10 mins walk from the Central station and airport bus station, and is right in the middle of shopping malls and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. All of them are happy to help us netvigate Helsinki and introduce tourist attractions to us. Breakfast is good. Some bad smell from drainage. No slippers provided. The breakfast buffet area is small and therefore very crowdy.

The location couldn´t be better. Cool looking rooms. Great breakfast! Windows cannot be opened, shower was flooding the bathroom. They charge an extra (ridiculous high) price for room service delivery. Sauna costs extra

I loved, loved, loved staying at Hotel Glo. We upgraded to the delux room & it was definitely worth every cent. I would highly recommend people to stay in a delux at this hotel. The location was great.

Well located, spacious room (we had a Deluxe), very nice breakfast, friendly staff - just great for a weekend stay, or more. At first they put us on the 7th floor, and there's a gym on the 8th. As it turned out, guests from the neighbouring Kamp Hotel have 24 hour access to. Practically all night we had to listen to the sounds of people running on treadmills, dropping things, moving things, etc. It was not relaxing at all. But the hotel staff put us in the room on the 6th floor next day, and it solved the problem. The hotel is great, but if you are sensitive to noise, do not choose the rooms on the 7th floor :-)

Location is excellent and breakfast was OK. Sauna was not included in the (already high) price. Internet password had to be asked separately. Overall, the rooms could include a hotel information booklet (e.g, internet issues, breakfast times, ...).

Nice comfortable room, with very good breakfast. Location is excellent. Price of minibar is very expensive, but despite my comments every year nothing seems to change. Eur. 5,00 for a small bottle of water and 3 euros for a Mars bar doesn't seem like a service to me. For the rest everything is okay.

Great design and perfect location. The spa facilities are nice even though no pool or jacuzzi. The Deluxe room on the street side we chose as recommended by others is really worth! Spacious, comfortable, well designed and silent. The hall of the hotel where the bar is located is really cold, the entrance automatic doors are clearly not designed for Finnish winters. As the drink selection is below average, over priced and the girls serving clueless, you're better of going elsewhere like Fazer just in front of the hotel.

Excellent location and acceptable price if booked via Internet which makes a lot of difference. The room was roomy and modern, quite pleasant. I already slept there before and there are several types of rooms some more comfortable and some quite small. The shower rail of my room was not there, only 2 holes in the tiles where it had been fixed. It was impossible to take a shower. I informed the clerk at the reception who wrote it down, but nothing happened.

Highly recommended for staying! Very comfortable room but a little bit small. It's a strange for room with this area, but bath and bath space are rather huge and separated from other room only by open-ended wall with pass to sleeping area, without door. The room in a good condition. Very polite and sensitive staff. Good choice for breakfast. Very good hotel location near by all shopping centers, railway station and a couple tram stops ( or 5 - 7 min walk ) to port terminal. It was the best hotel from the triple of hotels we had been staying during our Scandinavian trip. It's hard to remember smth, seriously. May be a crowd on a breakfast and stuff was a little confused, but it was January 1st.

“The fact that the hotel is an ex prison and there are still features of its past was a draw to choosing the hotel, it's certainly something different! The location whilst out of what you would describe the city centre didn't really matter in the end as the tram stop is right outside. All staff I approached were very helpful and pleasant. Food in the restaurant is of a good standard.” Christopher, La Oliva Fuerteventura |
