The hotel was excellent. Beautiful and spacious room, very convenient arrangement. Cozy, yet elegant. Modern decor. Great breakfast, friendly staff. Great location in the best part of Helsinki, next to the market place. Nice library style bar in the lobby.
There was nothing I did not like.
Liked the fact that I was allocated a room with a view of the harbour. Liked the bed, the room and the service. Excellent breakfast provided. Liked the fact that I was not charged room service fee for a 'tea set' at 6.30 am.
Not having tea and milk provided in the room with the kettle and cups.
Good location, nice hotel!
Small places in car parking, difficult to move a bigger car in car parking place.
to wait to have a breakfast
Location The staff in all areas. The food in both restraunts is exceptional quality, cooked to gourmet standard served by attentive staff who know what they are placing in front of you and do it with pride.
Having to leave!
A nice, peaceful room, good bed. Hotel Haven's bar is one of the best in Helsinki, a cosy place to have a drink in a nice atmosphere, even if you're not a hotel guest.
Location Staff is very friendly and helpful Room is clean and well design Super comfortable beds
Location close to shops and harbour and lovely restaurants Room and bed was so comfortable we loved everything Lovely breakfast fantastic whiskey selection biggest we have ever seen
Had to pay for tea in the room
A stylish boutique hotel in a great location . The staff were excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
Bath room and the tube were excellent. Breakfast was of pleasure, even with a special diet. I liked a lot the furniture in the room.
Great staff and cosy luxury hotel
rooms, cleanliness, quiet, breakfast,
door to the toilet :-( - you can hear everything to the other side
Nice warm decor. Lovely courtyard to have breakfast in. Room was spacious and comfortable and with good amenities. Location is in a very nice quiet corner near the harbour area, not far from the scenic shopping street (Esplanade)and Senate Square. Nice restaurants nearby. Complimentary bottles of water each day, which is nice for a European hotel.
Staff a little cold but not unpleasant. Could be just a culture issue. Location is quiet, pleasant and set on the picturesque pier of Market Square but not the most central for those who do not like to walk much.
See view was very limited almost none, altough I booked a sea view room
This is one of those hotels where everything works, smoothely. The deluxe room is spacious and has it all. The staff does all to meet your needs. The bar is really really special and has the largest whiskey and rum collection north of Germany.
No sauna despite Finland.
This excellently positioned hotel made us feel most welcome. The staff were all highly professional, obliging and friendly. The designers show an eye for detail and an appreciation of the needs of international travellers. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in.
The room - "Style," one up from "Comfort" was spacious, intelligently laid out, nicely lit. Enough closet and storage space (with real hangers not the awful theft-proof ones with little metal things you have jiggle. Shower rather than bath which I would have preferred - perhaps some rooms have them - I didn't specify. Service was friendly, courteous and efficient and the breakfast was excellent. The gym was small but reasonably well equipped.
No major dislikes, a couple of small quibbles. 1) When you exit the room and remove the keycard from the slot, everything switches off immediately, rather than with a delay as in some hotels. A bit irritating especially as the slot is on the "wrong" side of the door so you fiddle in the dark. And the door is very heavy! 2) The TV picture is good quality, but the channel selection/changing system is rather slow and cumbersom. And it would be better to have a printed card with the channel list rather than having to struggle with the menu (maybe there was one but I didn't see it) 3) Loud and inappropriate music in the breakfast restaurant. I asked for it to be turned down (as I often do) and it was immediately, but when will hotels start thinking about how sound affects mood?
The room and bathroom, very nice ans cosy, location is just perfect, staff is friendly... For me the best hotel in Helsinki
Could not get a late check-out... But it happens...
If you want a place to stay in central Helsinki this is a Great spot!!
Staff are friendly and service is efficient
Great Staff, decoration, they have good options of restaurants to have dinner,
We would like a queen bed but they insist to put to beds together...
Staff especially front desk and waiters
Location. Excellent room, good size, comfortable. Very good breakfast. Havis restaurant very good. Generally, a very nice atmosphere.
perfect place,fine terrace, fine restaurants
Location, cleanliness, beds.
Room service was poor (I was travelling with a dog, so I used it a lot). Not possible to get a soft boiled egg whether I chose 4 or 7 minutes - it was served raw (the white not cooked) and cold! The door knob fell of one of the cabinet doors, but couldn't be fixed till Monday (I was there Friday till Monday) so had to pry the door open using my fingernails. I had advised that I was travelling with a crutch and a broken leg - but I had to carry my own luggage up. My room was placed as far from the elevator, as at all possible! Service was, generally speaking not what you expect of a 5 Star Hotel. There was a water kettle in the room - if you wanted coffee or tea you could call and they'd bring you a teabag for 5 euros! Room service was 10 or 20 euros extra depending on the meal! I was not impressed with this hotel and I would not stay there again!
