Good hotel - location, friendly staff, breakfast (a lot of various dishes), rather cleanness, quiet and comfortable. We enjoy our 2 nights residence. Under the beds the decorated panel suspended. It covered up the electrical lamps and looked like a hanging ceiling. Extremely quantity dust clustered on this panel !!!!

The look and feel of the hotel was fantastic. That coupled with the central location meant that is was perfect for the type of trip we were on.

it is neat looking, and the location was really good, very close to the train station and subway they said it is a "design" hotel, but I won't really call it "design", the furnitures and stuff were nice, but that's just basic hotel standards, there's nothing "design" about it. And it is quite expensive. The lady at the reception desk while checking in was not very friendly, didn't even bother to say hello and she seems annoyed with questions. But the guy during my check out was very nice.

The idea of the hotel interior is Finnish design and nature. Stylish and cool. Ten minutes walk to railway station. Bus station and metro are even nearer. Almost in the city center but also near to the gorgeous Hietaniemi Cemetery and Hietaniemi beach. Should try the open all day sauna sometime. - I was very well served in the restaurant Helkan keittiö. Delicious home made apple cake with coffee. Good quality-price ratio.

The best thing n the hotel is the staff - very friendly. Other - just simple 3 star hotel. Price/quality is not good, but I was in the high season... so it was not indicative.

We arrived in Helsinki at 5 A.M. and there was rain. We had no idea what to do and went to the hotel to leave our luggage there until check- in. The guy on reception was so nice that he gave us a room!!! So we could rest normally in the morning and then proceed sightseeing. Don't know what we would do without him because of this weather. Everything else was also perfect. Not the first time in this hotel and definitely not the last!

I liked the room and it's style. Nice large bed for one person. Air conditioner was too loud, so I switched it off for the night. Really quiet all night, although it was Saturday. Breakfast was delicious.

I liked the rooms, the design, the pictures in the roof. And the solution with bed and work-place (room 301). I always got god service at the frontdesk (taxi-booking, answers about buses and wher to go, etc. And I was surprised that the restaurant was connected to the hotel, and the servants there were exellent, - even serving food 2 minutes before closing!!! And giving very good recommendation on the food, even the dessert! I like the bar, too - and meeting people not to young - and from all over the world; an hotel with a colorful "collection" of clients from all over the world, and not looking like stupid turist on shopping....if so; shopping art and finnish experiences. A good adventure to stay at your hotel! Look above...all said there, I think - I like the clients being mostly between 30-35 to 50-60 years, it seems...

Good location, just beside Kamppi bus station and not far from railway station, easy access to city center. Breadfast is not bad. Wireless is good. Bathroom especially the shower is too small. Bed is too soft. Don't think it worth that high price so personnaly don't like it so much.

“The fact that the hotel is an ex prison and there are still features of its past was a draw to choosing the hotel, it's certainly something different! The location whilst out of what you would describe the city centre didn't really matter in the end as the tram stop is right outside. All staff I approached were very helpful and pleasant. Food in the restaurant is of a good standard.” Christopher, La Oliva Fuerteventura |
