Best location, good staff, secured parking, funny design stuff in interior, free internet Look old and worn, small parking with very narrow entry, painting under bed is really annoying. Breakfast is a bit budget |

Friendly and helpful staff, smooth check-in, free internet in rooms, well-filled minibar, modern design reception, bar, breakfast area and rooms. Close to Helsinki-center and Kamppi busstation. Upon early check-out the reception staff itself suggested a take-away breakfast. Nice gesture. Excellent price-quality ratio. Food quality of breakfast could be slightly better and would have made it really perfect. |

The location was good and the rooms were ok. It was a bit cold in the room and the wired internet connection was really bad, but perhaps, only at my room. Too expensive for a 3 star hotel, but maybe this was standard price for Helsinki..... |

Very good, very clean, simple and easy, reasonably cheap while located right in the downtown. The unique Finnish style design adds a nice touch you wouldn't expect in so competitively priced hotel. I travel quite much on business and during business trips I always stay in 4 star hotels. Hotel Helkka is 3 star officially, but it is well on par with many-many officially 4 star hotels. Well, some small things such could be better *if you indeed take Helkka as a 4 star hotel*. E.g. the toilet seat wasn't fixed exactly as good as it should (was still very well usable though). For 3 star hotel I can't complain about anything except that the hotel is way more expensive if you try booking from the lobby. I literally had to visit booking.com while sitting in the lobby in order to get good price. |

Clean and comfortable room. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast. The exterior is scruffy and would have discouraged me from staying there if I had not already checked out the hotel on the internet and on tripadvisor. |

The Helka is clean and utilitarian. No frills. Quiet and safe. Good breakfast with many choices. Close to a large shopping center. |

The location is fine, breakfast was good. We were lucky to get a room with a window so we got some fresh air. Be sure to demand it! Room maintenance was poor. The shower water were all over the floor. I'm sure it was a known problem but the hotel didn't fix it. |

hotel Helka is located at the edge of Helsinki city centre, within a few minutes walk of the main shopping area and public transport, a little longer to the esplanade, harbour and historical city centre. The rooms are well kept and clean, the personnel was extremely friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. |

staff are courteous and professional. Breakfast buffet offers healthy and traditionally Finnish food - great. Hallways need updating. Rooms that are tired required repainting. Irons should be available in rooms instead of an ironing room. |

The sauna, the restaurant, the breakfast I stayed in room 408 (single room). The beds and/or the matresses are of poor quality, too soft. You feel that you have spine. The lights in the room are poor. There are 6 bulbs in the room, but none sufficiently well placed to be able read once you are in bed. Idem for the bulbs in the bathroom. When you stand in front of the mirror, the bulbs are behind you and cast a shadow on the mirror and it is diffucult to see when you shave. |

Very well located right near the centre of Helsinki, just a short walk from all the major public transports; looks and feels modern; our room was relatively small but very comfortable, the beds were clean and comfy, the shower was also very good; friendly and helpful staff; free sauna. Our room suffered from very poor blackout on the windows, which was a nuisance considering that summer nights in Helsinki are short and not very dark; lack of free TV in our room; |

The web site(s): your and the Helka sites do not accurately describe the hotel. Although, my expereince was positive, the hotel could be more accurately depicted. |

Central location, friendly staff, clean rooms Very expensive laundry facilities, that you have to pay for internet (why not make the price of the room 5 euros more for everyone?), the picture on our room roof was upside down when you lie on the bed which Iis fairly minor but annoying... |
