Lack of cleanliness, overall. Food preparation facilities were very poorly maintained. Oven was disgustingly bad. Stove top and cooking surfaces were greasy. Refrigerator smelled bad, like something died in it. First room smelled so bad from cooking odors, I asked to be moved to another room. It was killing my allergies Second room I got was better, but still bad in comparison to other long term stay facilities. Poor housekeeping services. Laundry facilities were also poorly maintained (dirty machines, dirty floor, and just plain messy and unkempt). Just generally, not well maintained. Breakfast was dirt simple...every day the exact same fare...boring.

It was too cold in the room

A very pleasant and cosy place, wonderful environment and friendly stuff. Rather good breakfast, worth staying for a night or 2, comfortable location to visit Serena and Eurika museum and Helsinki sightseeing. Thank you for a good weekend!

I didn't like the sauna, because I didn't manage to get there, reservation was full.

The room was clean and there is a taxi rank close by so the taxi arrived within 2 or 3 minutes of booking even during peak times.

The shower leaked all through the bathroom, there was no room make up service, the sauna was only available if pre-booked and then only between 5pm and 9pm.

It was difficult to find hotel Hellsten Espoo. I would like to see tv on the Finnish.

The zoo, big shopping center was pleasant.

Great location! Reception was so welcoming and had lots of helpful information for us! It was great, good breakfast and wonderful experience. I would recommend this to anyone staying in the Helsinki area, only a 10 minute train ride to Helsinki but away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the high prices there.

Perfect place for this money for big family, very quiet place, free parking, in 5 minutes from Helsinki. All what you need to spend one or two nights.

Cleanliness was terrible in restaurant "Huivi" and poor cleanliness in other areas too.

Quiet, very good clean rooms, nice staff. We stayed in the hotel several times, and we were very glad to choose the hotel.

Room fitted for long stay. I meen kitchen items is full set. No any shortage with bed-bath cloths

There are no salt, no soap in the room There is no pool Planty people like fried eggs on breakfast During first evening we visited sauna and two towles would be refreshed. Unfortunately room was not cleaned and towels layed on floor during next 2 days

The room and the breakfast hall were very dirty.

Comfortables numbers with sauna

Nice blend of hotel with a couple of hostel perks such as a laundry room. We appreciated the self-catering aspect, and the kitchen was adequately equipped. Although lacking a bath the room had a sauna! The hotel doesn't feel luxurious, and the corridors are uninspiring, but it is clean and spacious and well maintained. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options and fresh and good looking.

With a car it's a great location close the train station and large shopping centre, and not too far from the excellent hands on science centre. without a car it looks difficult logistically with public transport.
