The hostel is on the third floor of a beautiful old building. The decoration is so elegant. Very clean dormitory, just the perfect administration process to make things smooth and easy.
I liked the common areas, the nices staff and the overall clean hostel.
The smell in the toilets (mold), too hot temperature, no towels. Lots more + than -
- hostel located on the third floor, so don't take large luggage with you))
The entrance hall downstairs
Helsinki is an overpriced city so this Hostel was expensive in comparison to all the other countries I visited in the previous 2 months. But it wasn't overpriced by Helsinki's rip off hotel prices! One particular member of the reception staff were rather unhelpful & a little obtuse.
The beds were good, and so was the internet.
When we got there, it was 6 o'clock am, nothing was opened. Only 2 friends of mine, and I were going to stay in the hostel, the other friends (4) were leaving in the same day. The guy in the reception didn't let us stay in the common area to wait until the sun was up on the sky (it was still dark), saying that it was full of people (when, actually, there was nobody there); he told us to go to the famous market, and said it was opened at 6h30, but until 8h30 there was nothing there; he almost kicked us out of the hostel, saying "go out! Go have some fun!"; they were not very helpful like in the other hostels (usually they give maps and point out the most interesting places to go. They just gave us the map); the bathroom did not have curtains, so it was water all over the place; the toilet had absolutely no room (if you bend over, you beat your head against the door); no elevator It was worth it for the bed, but I would rather stay somewhere with less comfort than in this hostel again
The staff was particularly welcoming and attentive of needs.
There was not much atmosphere in the hostel. It needs some music or a tv screen. Some activities organised by the hostel.
1. close by to city center 2. quality of internet was good 3. cosy kitchen to cook food at night 4. helpful staff
1. some toilets were too small for comfort 2. dated bedspreads
the enviroment was really nice, familiar type. very warm hostel, nice temperatures. bed was comfortable wi-fi worked perfectly and kitchen was amazing.
location is very good, but it bothered me that they didnt have elevator. i understand due to old building.
Great place to stay in. I would definitely go back. Very clean, good location, nice staff.
We only stayed for a night, nothing we didn't like.
It was a really good experience, everything was correct so we are very thankful guys!!!
location clean big a lot of info
staff was not helpfull or talkative boring silent ( I mean not even music in the kitchen)
all was very good)))stuff is cool)))
Comfortable small hostel with good facilities and the staff were absolutely lovely!
I arrived late at night and staff helped me settle right in and feel like I was at home. This includes waking me up for an early flight and giving me a fresh cup of coffee as I was darting out the door.
Nothing bad to say at all.
Spacious kitchen, 24 hour reception, large room with a sink, confortable bed
A good walk to get to the port, sometimes you must ring the bell for a couple of times until they open the door, very small WC.
the location was great , easy to find close to the city center the port all main attractions of helsinki
Central, great wifi, long-running and great hostel option. Well-stocked communal kitchen; excellent staff.
Far too few toilets for the amount of beds (unacceptably so). The price was well beyond what the property offers so it was not a great value but a decent option if actual hotels are unavailable.
Central location near design district, port, market, sights, bars and restaurants. Clean rooms. Friendly reception staff. Bar and restaurant right downstairs convenient for a drink or a late-night snack.
Rooms a bit spartan. Not many common areas to meet people. Sometimes a wait for the showers as there weren't many of them.
Hotel is in a central location Good cooking facilities Friendly and helpful staff Internet works
limited number of showers / toilets
good location , Nice people, bed was clean, the rest ok
didnt sleep very well
friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean, close to the railway station
having to climb up the stairs, as I have a bad knee.
Noise from the common/kitchen area was extremely loud in my room throughout one night.
Very small scale and chilled out with a good kitchen. The showers were excellent. So very very close to the centre of the city
There was only one key for room (6 people) and that concerned me as some people are not as safety aware. Good 11pm curfew but those on duty should monitor this as on my last night unthoughtful guests started cooking a stir fry dish at 11pm-not the hostels fault
Very friendly and helpful staff. Homelike atmosphere, with adequate facilities. Best way to visit Helsinki on the cheap.
