it was cheap, but other than that I don't have much to say other than to meet the 200 character minimum
bathrooms were awful: smelled like something was wrong with their plumbing, could barely fit in the stalls, and no shower curtains or any privacy except timing. zero atmosphere for meeting people and wifi has very limited range.
I liked its locality to the lake, beach and the beautiful Regatta cafe. Facilities were great, nice lounge, and dining room although kitchen a bit cramped. Nice and quiet at night.
price, vending machines, wifi was so so(on laptop it worked in room somehow :), quiet surrounding
room was really small, it was hard to find the hostel, bathroom was outside but it was ok and clean.
Friendly staff, location, services, excellent Wi-Fi
1. The rooms were clean. 2. Staff was friendly and helpful.
1.Shower rooms need to be cleaned. It's smelly. Smells like toillet and I could even smell from the aisle. 2. Shower rooms are too small. 3. The windows in the room is broken I think. Could neither open nor close well. 4. Kitchen needs to be cleaned.
Convenient location: a tram ride to the center. Everything is in working order. The window could be opened.
The room was very small: there is only place for the beds. The room entry card is required at all times.
The staff was really kind and if there were questions they helped as good as they could. Also the price is cheap for Finland.
The kitchens was dirty and also the dishes in the canteen. In the second floor the hallway had a urine smell. Also there was no typical hostel atmosphere because you didn't get the chance to get to know the other guests.
close to city centre, also just right next to the olympic stadium which is awesome
some creepy ppl around
The Location in the Olympic stadium was cool and once you've found it easy to return to (just look for the Olympic tower). Situated only about 30 minutes walk from the centre down the road with the majority of must-see sights on it - so you walk past the parliament, the National museum etc on your way.
The kitchen facilities were limited, the toilet rooms were very small and neither particularly clean.
Nothing, to be fair.
I have been in many hostels and this ranks among the worst. Toilets smelling of piss everywhere, very dirty, dusty rooms, huge dorms where it is realistically impossible to sleep unless you are drunk. Not close to city center and fairly costly (true, so is Helsinki). Finland has great hostels but I would definitely NOT recommend this one if you are travelling for fun.
Nice staff and the hostel is not far from the airport.I liked the room altough it was a bit small. It was good that our room was near to the bath room:). It was good that we got sleeping stuffs.
It was a pity that we (2people) couldn't take a shower when we arrived after a long day because it was after 10pm:(.And many people against the rules took a shower early morning...
Good location. Decently priced in high reason. Felt very safe and secure there.
Noisy guests (not hostel's fault). Only average breakfast.
Quiet! Low cost bike rental available on site close to downtown comfy beds!
dormitory style mainly, few single rooms
historical place you can sleep in stadion kitchen
wi-fi only at one place (no wi-fi in room) check in from 16:00
It is very well organized.
You don't have Wi Fi in the rooms
Price is nice, a place to sleep, and a high tower nearby so you could see the direction from everywhere.
Keep in mind that you'll have to bring your own soap - there's no in bathrooms.
The location was OK (no well located hostels in Helsinki as far as I know) except is a long walk to anywhere (being inside the stadium means even the closest road is a 7 minute walk), and the staff is helpfull. Internet works fine in the common area. I didn't have breakfast but it looked OK. Kitchen looks well equipped.
Beds are uncofortable, the atmosphere isn't great because the common area is small and most people staying are not backpackers. It looks ran down. No curtains means you wake up at 3am when the sun starts going up, I imagine in winter is not a problem.
a good location breakfast free internet computers
very dirty bathroom and toilets
Facilities were good. Bunk beds were excellent, sturdy, secure, dorm room was large and comfortable.
very unussual place!! intresting for stay for sure for young people!! many people from arround the world.
smell in the kitchen. aircondition or something like this, could work better!
Good value for money and nice size dorms.
There was no lift and we had cases which was difficult.
Cheap, friendly staff, breakfast was ok, clean
City centre was a long walk and hostel is up on a hill, showers leaky, wifi only in reception
Very helpful and friendly staff. Decent location, great dorm rooms and facilities.
Situated in a very nice area, clean and cosy hostel with very friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent!
