Hostel Suomenlinna

Everything was amazing about the hostel, clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff,nice kitchen on the second floor, location was amazing on the island just across from Helsinki market square and 5 minutes from the fortress. Thank you, beautiful stay!

staff is very friendly, location is good. you can visit the Suomenlinna island in late evening and early next morning without disturbance from other tourist and really enjoy the beauty of this place.

Simple house with a bit of history in an excellent location by the ferries on the Suomenlinna island just 15min away from central pier in Helsinki Simple yet cosy attic rooms and clean bathroom and kitchen. A great option to stay cheap in Helsinki for a couple of nights and see its main historical attraction

Though the hostel is not at the city centre, the location of it is nice as it is in the heart of one of the most attractive place in Helsinki - Suomenlinna Islands. We have a pleasant stay in the hostel and the self-catering kitchen is adequately equipped.

I loved the island fortress complexes being so close, the staff was friendly and helpful, beautiful and clean location. Very relaxing.

It's quite a wonderful hotel! I chose that place firstly because of location, cause living in the island is very unusual. To my mind it's very hospitable, clean, modern and comfortable! I liked it very much! If I'll visit Helsinki again, i am absolutely sure, that will book a place there again. This is the place which I confidently recommend you.

Actually, there weren't any negatives during my staying in the Hostel.

It was a wonderful experience to live in there! Don't be afraid of the location, it is quite easy to go to, and it is convenient to visit other parts of Suomenlinna. The price is reasonable with a comfortable bed.

It is hard to find the pier when it was dark, also the map in the train station is hard to read so that I spend a lot of time on reading it, but it is not the problem of the hostel!

Location and price.

Thin walls. No vending machine with water. It would be great to have one taking into account that there is only one shop on the island that closes in the evening.

1. The rooms were not divided by gender. 2. There were no regulations suggested to the rest of the clients as to what the appropriate behavior should be within the hostel premises, and especially in the shared rooms. Some of your clients do not have consideration for the others they share the room with, leaving their belongings at random, being extremely noisy after 23:00 and before 6:30, and so on.

For those who are no strangers to hostels this one could be a gem. Clean and comfortable. Great location : beautiful church and fortress with museums nearby. Coffee shops and eateries of all types are in abundance . 15 min by sea to Helsinki Market Square.

Clear room and bathroom, quiet place, friendly and unobtrusive staff, that help you in different situation. Very good and interesting placement, Suomenlinna is the best place in dirty and impolite Helsinki.

Nice location in a beautiful neighbourhood just 20 min by ferry from Helsinki city centre, good connection with the city as ferries operate until approximately 2 am. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms/facilities were clean, no shower queues despite I was there in the middle of the summer. Kitchen is good and contains everything you need to cook a dinner. Generally, it is a good value for money!

First of all, I'd like to point out location. Suomenlina is a wonderful wild place 15 minutes from Helsinki. It is very nice to live there. Don't be frightened by the island location - it is very easy to get there by ferry.

Хорошо, что он расположен на острове. Легко добираться. Жалко, что не сразу поняли, что поездка на пароме стоит 2,20, а не 5 €!

Общий душ и туалет.

Oli todella hieno paikka, mukavia henkilökunnat, oli siisti ja hiljainen. Siellä oli keittiö ja se on mahdollista saada aamupalla myöski. Ihan lähellä on kauppa ja Helsingin keskusta on noin 15 min.

Шикарный хостел на острове. Каждая поездка на пароме, как приключение. Есть уютное кафе неподалеку и супермаркет прямо напротив.

Wifi ловит только в общей столовой на 2 этаже

брали номер на троих. были в марте, на улице -18с, ночью было тепло, не замёрзли. на кухне есть вся необходимая посуда, моющие средства. нашли соль. прямо напротив хостела магазин. пристань в минуте ходьбы. утром на ступенях церкви видели лисичку и толпу визжащих японских туристов, её спугнувших.

в номере были паучки. постельное бельё с пятнами крови.

Parisänky puuttui, kaksi sänkyä vierekkän ei toi jos välissä on laidat ja rako. Huoneen (7) lämmityspatteri naksutti ajoittain eikä toiminut kunnolla.
