Score from 1241 reviews Good
Reasonable and central, hotel Anna is a decent standard hotel. Does pretty much what it says on the tin. Provided a packed breakfast as I was out early one day.
Perhaps a little too noisy with coming and goings in the mornings. Otherwise really nothing.
Ideally situated to explore Helsinki, and excellent rooms on 7th floor. Welcoming staff on the front desk even at 1am when we arrived. Good wifi.
Beware life only goes 6 floors, so rooms on 7th floor requires climbing a flight of stairs. No problem from my perspective, just awareness.
Overall, it's a good hotel. Location is great, all Helsinki at your feet. Nice building, 2 supermarkets and many restaurants around. Wifi and shower are excellent, breakfast is assorted.
No place for the suitcase, I put mine on a small bedside table. Tiny bathroom (but with a big enough shower place). Nothing to spoil the experience, really.
Good value for money. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
I have no complaints really.
Great location for Central Helsinki - not far to walk from the main port Area of hotel ideal for cheaper eats Hotel quiet mid week and only the last night had loud voices / stomping from the room above
Breakfast insipid Staff not the friendliest Decor needs a MASSIVE revamp - like something from the 1970s and not in an ironic / kitsch way Expensive at £90 per night but Helsinki is pricey all round TV had 300 plus channels but only 20 ish actually worked!
A lot of thought has been put into providing things that guests might need, like umbrellas in the room, heated towel rack, very well insulated from street noise and weather. Excellent breakfast and a cute location a short walk from the markets.
Staff were professional, but not all smiley. It doesn't have a lot of "flair", however it doesn't really need it. It is a solid, comfortable place to stay.
- very good breakfast - very quiet - very friendly & helpful stuff
Personal service. Good advice concerning restaurants and a very tasty breakkfast
The breakfast was very tasty and varied, with plenty of sweets to choose from. Most of the staff did a good job, with a pleasant attitude. The room was clean, and the prepaid sauna met the expectations.
There was one receptionist who had a bit too strict and unpleasant attitude. It was obligatory to ask for a key in order to open the windows.
Staff was friendly, helpful and compromising. Late breakfast (weekend).
There´s a church next door we didn´t know of and on Sunday morning we had agreed on late check-out to be able to sleep till later, but no chance of that because of church service which involved a lot of loud music and singing.
Staff were very helpful and considerate. Room and bathroom were kept very clean. Nice that room had a large umbrella for possible wet weather.
Perhaps getting only one channel on TV in English. (We never asked the staff if we were doing something wrong.)
The location of Hotel Anna is good. It's only a 10-minute walk from the city center and it's located in a nice, trendy neighborhood with many nice cafes and shops. The hotel is good value for the money. Breakfast was standard and healthy. The room was tiny, but functional.
The restaurant was a bit boring and ugly.
Not new, not those chain hotels that all look and feel the same, but warm and cozy. Overall warm feeling. The room is tiny but well thought-of. E.g. In my room, there were plenty of plugs to charge multiple devices (I had 1 PC, 1 tablette, 2 iPhones..), which is not a given in many other places. Elevator was full during peak check-out time but all in all a very good hotel. I didn't notice till when I was in the elevator to check out, but seems like there is a sauna at the top floor. Great location, great neighborhood. I'd definitely stay there again.
location, staff good value for what you pay
Carpet-free floors, mini-safe and water boiler in room. Quiet. Reasonably well assorted breakfast buffet. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Many cafés and restaurants in the area if you couldn't be bothered to walk to the center of the city (approximately 10 minutes).
Very small bathroom.
Location was good. Breakfast included.
Thought it was expensive for quality of room. Old hotel.
comfortable bed, wide room space, and closet. the room was so quiet, there was no noise from outside.
hotel staff was not kind, and they don't remember the name, even the room number, so that it can end up to and big problem such as robbery. the price is too high for the service.
Location was very good, harbour and town centre are practically walking distance. Good connection by tram to city too. If travelling with kids then nice outdoor play area is nearby. Breakfast was good. Room nice size and clean.
It was heatwave and there was no air-con, but hey, how many times this will happen in Finland! There was also some noisy roadworks then, but that should be finished by now!
Location was great as was the price. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I was moved and upgraded free of charge as the first room was too warm to sleepin.
Room were too hot during my stay, there is no air conditioning, the rooms are also a bit dated. Staff did comment the rooms can be too hot in summer and too cold in the winter. The breakfast was probably (below) average.
Close enough to central station, though we arrived by ferry (short tram ride). Centrally located and neighbourhood is quiet. Allowed us to check in early.
Bathroom a touch shabby but functional. Not enough powerpoints near bed.
Location was spot on. Just walking distance away from the main hub. Clean, friendly staff
Price was too high for the room quality and facilities given
This hotel has a very pleasant and comfortable room. A bit old style, stylish and very functional (like Finnish design). Lots power outlets, good illumination (natural and artificial). Wifi is fast and staff people is helpful and gentle, with a personal treatment.
location not far from the city centre, friendly staff, good three beds room, breakfast normal
garage is not in the hotel but 500 m far
It was close to the astronomical observatory ( I am a historian of science). In general, it is a human size city - I was able to walk to all the sites that I wanted to visit and to the place where our conference was held.
too hot in the room and the windows that you could open were too small
