Staff was friendly, helpful and compromising. Late breakfast (weekend).
There´s a church next door we didn´t know of and on Sunday morning we had agreed on late check-out to be able to sleep till later, but no chance of that because of church service which involved a lot of loud music and singing.
Staff were very helpful and considerate. Room and bathroom were kept very clean. Nice that room had a large umbrella for possible wet weather.
Perhaps getting only one channel on TV in English. (We never asked the staff if we were doing something wrong.)
location, staff good value for what you pay
Carpet-free floors, mini-safe and water boiler in room. Quiet. Reasonably well assorted breakfast buffet. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Many cafés and restaurants in the area if you couldn't be bothered to walk to the center of the city (approximately 10 minutes).
Very small bathroom.
Location was good. Breakfast included.
Thought it was expensive for quality of room. Old hotel.
Location was great as was the price. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I was moved and upgraded free of charge as the first room was too warm to sleepin.
Room were too hot during my stay, there is no air conditioning, the rooms are also a bit dated. Staff did comment the rooms can be too hot in summer and too cold in the winter. The breakfast was probably (below) average.
Close enough to central station, though we arrived by ferry (short tram ride). Centrally located and neighbourhood is quiet. Allowed us to check in early.
Bathroom a touch shabby but functional. Not enough powerpoints near bed.
Location was spot on. Just walking distance away from the main hub. Clean, friendly staff
Price was too high for the room quality and facilities given
This hotel has a very pleasant and comfortable room. A bit old style, stylish and very functional (like Finnish design). Lots power outlets, good illumination (natural and artificial). Wifi is fast and staff people is helpful and gentle, with a personal treatment.
location not far from the city centre, friendly staff, good three beds room, breakfast normal
garage is not in the hotel but 500 m far
It was close to the astronomical observatory ( I am a historian of science). In general, it is a human size city - I was able to walk to all the sites that I wanted to visit and to the place where our conference was held.
too hot in the room and the windows that you could open were too small
Location, cleaniness, wifi, staff.
Excellent location, helpful receptionists
Central place, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Rooms without air conditioner. During my stay in hotel, there was construction building on the street, so that was a bit noisy in the morning.
Central location; helpful staff; spacious bathroom; breakfast ok
Room quite small and oppressively warm with no air conditioning; street very noisy until about 3.30 am but had to have the window open because of the heat. This resulted in 2 nights broken sleep.
A1 Staff Excellent breakfasts
Unfortunate to be there on hot days & nights, only an electric fan for comfort, hence hard to sleep.
If one is after; to be right in the centre of town after a short walk, and have a lush breakfast when it comes to quality and quantity as well as warm and polite staff then this is the right hotel for you to stay!
We were lucky to experience a 30 degree celsius day during our stay, but there was no aircon in the room, so we had to open the window at night and it was a bit noisy.
The location and the price. Very helpful staff.
Room was not very well ventilated but it was 30 degrees that evening!
The staff is really friendly and helpful. The hotel offers private parking possibility on a very reasonable price (clearly a rarity in Helsinki!), and most important sights to see are just in walking distance. The hotel is in the middle of Helsinki´s lively nightlife district, with quite many bars and restaurants nearby. On Fridays and Saturdays this may result in some occasional party noise (as it is frankly stated in the description of the hotel as well) - however, Hotel Anna indeed offers perfect accommodation for those, who are looking for such kind of pleasures.
the best hotel to have a rest after a hard week. Silence, comfortable rooms and good location!
The location is great and the breakfast offers good variety. Info at the reception is helpful and plenty of sight offers are available.
Nobody could imagine for it to be too hot in Finland...the little fan is not enough in the hot rooms :(
I've been here many times, and always enjoy coming back. Great breakfast and a friendly helpful staff. You can't beat the location, especially if you're coming in by ship.
The location was excellent, the breakfast was very good, and the front desk was unfailingly helpful and friendly.
The room we were in was very hot in July, but at least there was a fan, which helped a great deal.
Very nice and quiet place with a beautiful view from the window. Really good breakfast. Great location: very close to the city center. Good value for money.
