Lovely view to the river from the room, but poor air-conditioning.

Somehow I did expect a little more for the price of our hotel room.

Clean, simple, comfortable and warm - good location to the airport for late night flight arrival.

Can't think of anything, but it was just a one night stay...

Good shower, fridge in room, excellent view in river facing room. Good breakfast selection and beers at bar. Lunch was nice too. TV with English channels. Close to airport and under 10 mins walk to 'town'.

Good free rental of exposure suits, boots, and skis. Good activity programme.

Large tour groups also use the hotel, so can feel a bit overwhealming for families or couples.

fair accommodation rated at 3 stars. what you pay, that's what you get. no other choice. helpfull hotel staff.

too crowded, lack of cousy, warm atmosphere, food low grade, smell over the whole hotel. no information available for activities except what is offered by hotel's partner. too expensive and half price opportunities (snow mobile) available elsewhere.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was a solo but they made me feel very comfortable and accommodating. The location was lovely and Club Nord was worthwhile.

I stayed at Hotel Ivalo for 2 nights. The reception is friendly and helpful. The food served at breakfast was decent and I had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant as well. As I was on a hunt for aurora, the availability of wifi in the room, though I need to do some hunting for a good spot, was helpful for me. I was able to catch the aurora on the river just behind the hotel when the alert came. Room is big, and I love the mint when I first arrived. My stay in Hotel Ivalo definitely made my while experience worthwhile.

There is a bus that stops just in front of the hotel, but the main center of the town, the supermarket and bus station and other shops are a few distance away. You would probably need to walk 10-15min to reach the town center. But the hotel can meet all your needs, so you probably find it not necessary to go to the town center at all.

My room was spotlessly clean, the room design was lovely, really comfy bed. Reception and all the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and really welcoming. That was so great to be able to check-in early. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the supermarkets, and the centre of the town. I had a really relaxing stay there. Would recommend to everybody!! Excellent customer service, perfect hotel! :)

Drove around the area for sightseeing. Drove to Inari and Nuorgam then crossed the border to Norway.

It was too hot in the room and no air conditioning. Breakfast was ordinary with very little hot food. Dinner on the other hand with a la carte menu was fantastic. Cloudberry sorbet dessert is highly recommended.
