Not fancy Simple
I did not like the absence of the flexibility in check-in (check-out) time. I submitted the request upon booking the hotel, but did not get any answer at all (even negative). Thus, I do not understand the presence of this option, if it is just ignored.
Fair price, clean
No staff at all, if you have problem with anything you are on your own.
Sinple yet good facilities!
I guss my room bed layout not good well.
Rooms were modern and clean as shown in pictures, wi-fi was good, our room was near the courtyard where people were hanging out, but when we got into our room it kept out the noise, was really happy to get a clean and comfortable room.
We didn't have any problem with this, but we saw some guests unable to get in their rooms because they said they never received a code for the building/their room. What was more concerning was that they kept calling the main # and no one was answering. It was a bit unfamiliar for me to stay in a place with no visible staff.
Good location. Spacious room
No personnel present. No breakfast. Very filthy. Most uncomfortble bed. Very expensive for a so called hotel that has less to offer than a regular hostel
Layout of the room, bathroom
Great TV. Clean bathroom and shower.
Kept getting shocks from walking on the floor with socks on!
Stayed in the family room with 3 of my mates. Even though there was only 1 big bed for two, and other two had to sleep on folding beds, it was still quite comfortable. Everything was clean in general. And a very good location, basically in the heart of the beautiful Helsinki. Have stayed there twice and definitely would stay again!
Noisy street at night.
we liked the location
No staff on duty, uncomfortable bed that uses hospital sheets for linen.
Check in was confirmed at 4 PM but the system did not work and all the guests had to stand outside for almost 45 days...I will never stay again in a No Reception hotel where nobody bothers...I could not get ready properly for my meetings...
I could use a change of towels once in the 4 days
Great location, basic but Excellant value for the money.
The location was great - short walk to and from the railway and bus stations. The room had the usual Omena facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave.
The water in the sink didn't drain away very well. I went to use the microwave and discovered food left on the turntable - it had been there a while! The hotel is in two parts, A and B. If you come from the direction of the railway station, you come to B, with no indication that there is another part. Most confusing.
-the location is perfect; close to all major cultural sites in the city.. -kettle, tea/coffee bags are microwave are a big plus! -without key; only password.. -big room with table and chairs.. -minimal design..
-there was a noise in the room, i think it was coming from the heater; it was awful, it was very difficult to sleep! -during my 6 days stay, my room was cleaned one time, and it was one day before i left!!!
I could not contact you to cancel my reservation, the procedure was too complicated as I am 81 yrs.I had to cancel my trip, but found no way to cancel the room. A telephone number would have been handy for a ..person living in the stone age. Never again is what I learnt. Of course nobody saw tha the room was not used!!!
It was compact and convenient, had everything one needed in a short break.
I didn't like the plastic cups for tea coffee
Good value of money with nice room and clean Supermarket and pizza shop near the hotel 400 m to tram --not so bad Wifi signal is quite good
No reception at the hotel will text you the door code and the check-in time is four but it's ok for us
Location, cleanliness, facilities, overall usability
Noisy air conditioning
Too many static electric shocks but otherwise great
The most distinctive feature of the Omena Hotel is the fact that is has no reception. You get around the place with the access code that you are provided with. Some might find this minimal interaction approach a bit weird, but I find it is consistent with the Nordic way of doing things. However, you can always phone the staff for help. The location was the selling point, as it is in walking distance to all the major landmarks and the main transport hub, which is the railway station. There is also a 24h supermarket nearby, which is a rare thing in this part of Europe.
Some of the 4 person rooms are a bit small. After you set up all the beds it can be a bit tricky to maneuver inside the room. Also, it would be wise to have the room code on a piece of paper in case you forget it or your phone battery dies.
The hotel is not near the train station, it is about 15 minutes walk. We arrived very late that night and the environment nearby is very bad. I booked the room for three person but there are only two beds can use. The staff said one more bed sheet is under the sofa, but there's nothing. Then they said there should be a box with these sheets and towels inside, but there are even no box in the room. Next time we won't book this kind of autoservice hotels.
Main bed and bathroom great. Location fantastic with all needed nearby. Entry and exit easy with no dramas.
Sofa beds nit too good. Breakfast at Cafe across the road; food basic, would've been enjoyable if staff wasn't rude and being more interested being on his phone than serving customers. I would stay at Omen a but wouldn't bother with the breakfast. I would've preferred an earlier check in as opposed to 4.
great shower. not to far from anything
very big window in the ceiling with no curtain
