Great location next to station and market place. Quite house, practical compact room!
terrible smell on the toilet dusty bedding, furniture and floor
Free wifi and good location is a bonus as is microwave and a fairly big double room.
This room was not clean. Toilet wasn't flushed, lots of hair in the sink and I'm pretty sure someone had slept on the sheets in one of the beds. No staff available to sort this out. Spend 10 euros more and go elsewhere.
Price was reasonable, easy to get to, location near the train station and the centre.
Uncomfortable extra bed, room was a bit untidy, there's no staff and a fire alarm woke us up about 5 o'clock in the morning! We had to get out of the building, there was no staff and no one told us what had happened. Apparently it was a false alarm because we got to go back into the hotel to sleep in about half an hour... Still, the room was very poor, just one double bed, a sofa and a little toilet and shower, there was three of us and one of us had to sleep in the sofa ('extra bed') which was very uncomfortable. I don't recommend this hotel, unless you want to have a cheap place but no sleep!
The location is good, but the room is best for two people, because the extra beds are "leather" and not comfortable to sleep. Especially if it's hot.
There was no air condition and you also couldn't open the window, so it was extremely hot.
Perfect location near the station and central part of the town; modern style of communication with clients (through large TV panel); lack of reception, easy way to enter the booked room by means of providing personal entry codes via e-mail and SMS.
Alas, all up-to-date features (thought to be convenient) cost nothing if they do not meet the intended requirements and if they are not maintained well. TV menu does not provide necessary information being overfilled with evident facts. Non-personalized reception is good if emergency contact is ensured; however, there are 3 different (!) phone numbers in a guest booklet, on a TV screen and in a reservation voucher - a client should guess which one is valid indeed. Very inconvenient communication scheme with the remote reception - a client must use the phone on the ground floor, where the phone unit is waiting for being thrown away to the dustbin (the wire is not contacted with the tube because the plastic conjucntion is broken, so one must use all his fingers to keep the necessary contact for communication). The staff is unpunctual to such an extent that it may lead to a serious problem for a traveller: first they kindly allow to prolong the stay in the room for a couple of hours more by prolonging the entry code validity time for the corresponding period, but this kind offer turns out to touch upon only the entrance on the ground floor, but it does not allow to enter the 5th floor and your room (very bad situation when you return to the hotel just to take your luggage and run to the train that departs soon)! Awkward ventilation system (air condition is incredibly weak and almost unpronounced whereas windows are locked) transforms nights into nightmares when days are hot (sometimes it really happens in Suomi!).
During our stay it was 28*C. The airconditioning couldn't handle it and we couldn't open the windows. It was terribly hot in the room.
The cleaning staff helped us as we were so lost when we got there
That there was no reception or check in area no staff to ask for information about the place and no one to help with any question we had, we ended up going to another hotel to ask for directions and information and breakfast.
everything was nice, good city parking not far from hotel
No AC, no fan, no possibility to open windows. Its like a sauna (during the summer). Sofa bed needs to be renewed/fixed (in the family room).
This is a hotel with no reception located not far from the harbour. Codes to the main door and to the rooms were sent to me in adwance. No breakfast or meals, but this we knew. Hotels near by do sell breakfast.
The elevator was out of order so we had to take the stairs up to 5th and 6th floor.
It was cheap, it was a big room and we had a kettle and a microwave. And ofcourse a fridge. Also we had a big tv and alot of extra towels :-)
It was waaay to hot, and actually ruining for the trip itself. Without good sleep you wont function during daytime. Also, when we were to open the window it had a sticker on it saying NOT to open the window?! So we thought that it must be aircondition there then..... Which it isnt. So its terrible. The air inside the room was so clammy and in need of a little bit freshness.... And also there were a lot of noice and screaming and slamming with the doors in the middle of the night.
Good location place.
The room was cleaned bad, specialy closet. Too smal room for 2 adults & 2 kids.
It was too hot !!!
Easy to find, codes on the phone was great, and the big screen over the bed was ok :-) Nice :-)
The elevator was out of order so we had to climb all the stairs up to 5th and 6th floor.
Having to pay for linen... We don't carry on own linen with us on vacation and there is no one we know who does... Just included it in the price instead of trying to advertise a lower price. Most people don't like the "fine print" and it's not a cleaver way of doing business. We personally run our own successful vacation beach rental in Hawaii and our guests like knowing "everything is included".
1. Location of the hotel is very good - near the main attractions, and a stone away from the train station. 2. It was very quiet at night. 3. The room has a water boiler, microwave and a fridge
1. Our room (for 3 persons, no 617) was tiny (it was barely possible to transform a chair into a bed for one of us to sleep). During booking there were pictures of a totally different room that was much bigger.
Everything available and very central
No staff to ask any questions
I really liked that the hotel operated with codes as my friend and I didn't have to rely on each other for any keys/cards. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful and the facilities were quite comfortable for the price we paid. Moreover we had a 42" TV in our room which had HDMI and was excellent to watch movies on. The microwave and kettle were very convenient as were the large amount of power supplies (14 in all!) available in our room. The room was also very well lit and we had three windows and three central heaters along with a double bed, a table with two chairs and two sofas which could be converted to two beds. When contacted; the helpdesk staff spoke very fluent English and they assisted us very effectively and efficiently. We had a three week stay at Omena Hotels Vaasa and if I had to go to Vaasa again; I would most certainly opt for Omena Hotels because it is a very comfortable hotel and is located literally a stone's throw away from the city centre :)
The windows did not open to let fresh air in.
The location was perfect. Opening of breakfast in Solo was not 8.00, changed to 8.30 Saturdays. That we found out when arriwing to Solo/Railwaystation.
A bit too good cooler, the room was not so warm due to air condition. Sent my ratings through the TV when staying at Omena. - We did not use internet, no computer, so we can not tell about how it worked.
Perfect! No staff at all, door code opens all doors, lost a bit at first because it was dark outside but quite fast found all out and got in. All instructions were in booklets and on TV screes so it was easy to get all proper info. Very easy to find the hotel - 100m from railways station. Everything was easy and very good! (Teapot, microwave oven and frige were also in the room so it was nice to stay couple of days there)
Very nice place - did not meet any staff but im sure theyre good too!
everything is fine
It was a bit cold in the room
