Very quiet rooms, comfortable beds, lovely Art Nouveau foyer.
Long walk down corridors to our room
cleanliness spaciousness easy access to city centre
rain in last few days.
Lots of locked doors to go through to get to the room.
Great location a tram ride from the city centre. Character combined with modern.
No fridge in the room.
The weather was very warm and no a/c...also a small room...good tourist location and close to self service laundry...
No a/c, small room and bathroom
Lack of or malfunctioning air conditioning.
entrance, staff, pillowtop beds
no air flow in the rooms - no ventilation in the bathroom. we needed a portable fan and someone to come open up the windows as far as possible to have a comfy night's sleep. Wifi was super slow.
Quiet, exceptionally clean
Better than email quality WiFi for a small charge. Little privacy due to bathroom enclosed in smoked glass.
The heart of the hotel is one of the most extraordinary buildings in the world- a Finnish extravaganza of Troll like design. The rooms are mostly in an annex and are clean and modern but rather small. The location is excellent and the car parking, while expensive is safe and secure
The service, both at front desk and in the breakfast room, was rather slow, and there is really no place to have a quite drink, except the lobby bar, which is Finnish-ly expensive. The rooms are rather small, and separated from the main building by a rather rambling route
Location Breakfast Room layout
Due to conditions and windows that open only a few cm our room was extremely stuffy. Even when the temperature dropped significantly the room was still stifling.
Style and service were excellent. Proximity to the ferry was a bonus.
Stylish hotel Fantastic bed Good breakfast Fantastic japanese restaurant near by
Very small room- nowhere to keep your luggage in the room. No Storage space in the room The Bar downstairs lacked atmosphere, not very comfortable to have a drink The restaurant wasn't open
Location and facilities were very good. There were many options in the breakfast.
The main building of the hotel was a nice change from the usual sanitised hotel environment. The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast was good with a lot of choice. The location was good with a 10 min walk to the city centre. We didn't have to check out until 1pm on the Sunday (our last day) without incurring any extra cost which helped fight the end of holiday blues.
Without upgrading our room for 10 euros per night we would have been in a very small room, on the ground floor with an outdoor seating area next to the window. Not ideal for privacy. At the risk of being too 'British' the bathroom was a see through glass box within the room which was very unusual! Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a fridge or mini bar would have improved our stay. Our friends we staying in the Glo Kluvy which seemed to have slightly better rooms and a more central location.
Location Quiet area Plenty of restaurants and shops METAL pubs closeby Lovely and beautiful reception staff
Finland is expensive and this hotel is not an exception
Lovely building. Nice staff. Wonderful breakfast. Nice room.
Originally booked an economy room which was a bit small but we were thrilled when we returned for a second stay to be upgraded to a larger room. We arrived at 7.30 am and were able to go straight to our room for a shower and sleep. Breakfast was outstanding - great selection of foods to choose from. The reception staff make this hotel - they are friendly and efficient.
Room a little small, if I owned a cat then I couldn't have swung it around.
Beautiful room set in a heritage building. Modern with a side of history.
It is about 20 to 30 mins. to city centre and the market square. So if you don't mind the walk, the location is not bad. There is another Glo hotel right in the city centre if you have some extra cash to spend.
No in-house gym, swimming pool nor shower facilities for us to clean up before our flight at 11:45pm.
Very slow wi fi or no connection in room
Great style, it looks like a castle. The rooms are new and the location is perfect for shopping, going out and sightseeing, very close to everything.
Desk staff was very helpful; good breakfast
