Friendly staff, very good breakfast. Nice location.
The sofabed for the third person is very small.
The breakfast was excellent! Very quiet room. The motorized bed was luxurious.
The room felt small. There was no fridge in the room.
Nice hotel, bigger than it appears from outside. Friendly helpful staff, liked he style of the rooms and the adjustable electric bed :) Good base hotel to then go out & experience Helsinki
Not the most central hotel, small rooms
Loved the relaxed atmosphere. The library was especially pleasant and comfortable. The food was excellent. The interior and exterior of the old building is quirky and charming.
Good style and comfort
Decor and renovation of the hotel is wonderful. A nice hint of a gothic style, mixed with warm colours in the public spaces and a nice bar area. We had breakfast and the choice is wide, varied and excellent. The food was high quality and delicious.
I can honestly say that that the rooms are so small you couldn't even think about swinging a dead cat. I've stayed in ship cabins which are bigger than these rooms. We couldn't even open our smallest suitcase without one of us having to leap over it just to get to the toilet or to exit the room. In fact, the rooms are so small that the closet space (depth) is about a third of normal closets. It meant that only ONE coat would fit inside and practically no room for anything clothes. That being said, the bed was comfortable, but the room size really put me off ever staying here again!
a little bit far from the railway station. about 15-20 minutes walk.
the 10-15 mins walking distance to the main street and scenery
Beautiful old building, really central, staff very helpful, modern rooms, spotless. Excellent breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff, spacious & comfort room, good restaurant. Definitely worth to stay!
Breakfast was good.
We were in the last room in the last floor where we had to take two elevators and walk to many corridors where you had to pass your room card everywhere, it did not feel cossy or confortable at all. We were a bit dissapointed and we expected something better for the money.
The bathroom was great! Very spacious, we had the comfort M twin room and was the perfect size for my friend and myself. The breakfast had a good little selection too.
There is a lack of storage space for clothes. We found there was no wardrobe to hang coats or jackets etc up. A small "gap" with a rail was the "wardrobe".
bed is very comfortable, room is clean, small tho.
Staff was very receptive. Breakfast was tasty.
room pictures don't necessarily match actual rooms. Some rooms were rather small, we had to upgrade.
If you take the cheapest option it would be probably very small room! The rest is Ok.
The building is breathtaking - it's like walking into a castle. The common areas are nicely decorated and romantically lit. The rooms are modern and comfortable.
The only problem was that the whole bathroom floor got wet when taking a shower.
Hotel was very beautiful, old Finnish jugend building. Inside it was quiet.
Extra bed for my son was poor.
the location is quite nice, only need around 10 to 15 minutes by walk to the center. the only problem is the room we stayed, double room, is a bit small but you can pay like 20 euro more to get a bigger one.
The communications from Hotel Glo Art before and after my travel was excellent. I received a message about my stay a few days in advance to confirm the booking, and when I had sent a question over email it was answered clearly, right away. The staff in the hotel were excellent--so friendly! And so helpful in providing guidance and recommendations on where to go, including a very cool pub that had a great local feel. Just what my sister and I were looking for! And the breakfast was incredible...!
The toilet in our room, 341, was running throughout the night and was really loud in our small room. We realized that slamming the door shut the toilet off but it took us until the middle of the night to figure that out. So, I would definitely check the toilet in that room. Otherwise, all was terrific!
jungendstil decor friendly staff wide selection of food good bed modern decor within walking distance of most of helsinki's highlights
£24 each day for car parking glass wall/door for loo shower that was too close to your head in bed. whole new meaning to the 3Ss. lack of space to hang clothes, unpack and place cases thus limiting floor space
For me GLO means a certain quality level and this hotel proves that also. Good location, friendly staff, cleanliness and some design in appointments. Very gentle conditioning!
- No refrigirators - Kettle for extra price - Small rooms
Great room Good service Excellent breakfast Great location, walking distance from central helsinki
The entrance in magnificent. Pity, that all the rooms are not in the old beautiful building. Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff.
In the room there was wall-to-wall carpet. Hotel was bigger than I thought. There´s a new wing, where my room was situated.
Loved that it was part castle . Rooms very modern. Staff very helpful .
