There is a tram station right in front of the hotel so if you do not like walking it is perfect location. Every morning there is a flea market just around the corner.
The breakfast room is crowded as it is a quite big Hotel .... Many rooms. However, the choice of food itself is good.
So looked forward to going Extremely sad to leave Haven't slept so soundly for a couple of weeks Really helpful staff Excellent breakfast choices Great food at Viola Restaurant Close to tram to city centre
Apparently porterage has been dispensed with? Difficulty with suitcase at front entrance - lift had to be requested!
I had a big room with sofa but all rooms are different sizes as it used to be a cheese factory. Breakfast extensive.
A little out of the way - 15 to 20 minutes walk to city centre and 40 to the ferry terminal. My choice though, taxis always waiting outside hotel. Also there's no Seaside, hotel opposite the docks.
We stayed here on two separate occasions within ten days. The second time (three nights) we had a brilliant room - big, with two extremely comfortable twin beds and a sofa bed for our daughters to share. The staff quickly brought us a comfortable extra bed when we pointed out that the sofa bed was too small for two. The view was not great, but much quieter than the harbour (and busy road) view we had the first time. Breakfasts were brilliant - the choice was so extensive that we would have eaten from the buffet three times a day had it been available. Enormous swing in the lobby was popular with all! Very convenient indeed (10 minute walk) for St Peter Line boats to St Petersburg, as well as boats to Tallin. Trams from outside the hotel to the centre of town are fast and frequent.
The first room we stayed in was cramped and the sofa bed too hard and too small for two children (aged 8 and 9) to share comfortably.
Position, breakfast, beds and staff.
The toilet door access that was poorly designed. It could not open fully because of the large basin. Restaurant meals were mediocre for such a good hotel.
Very good beds, good service. Celebration of birthday, got a present in the room ☺
Nice clean and quiet room. Good buffet breakfast. We enjoyed using the fitness center and the sauna.
The hotel would not give us our room before 3 pm. No taxi available in the morning. We had to wait 30 minutes.
Great view to the port, well trained staff, best breakfast, rather good position not too far from city center
Not many English speaking tv chanels but then, who has the time for tv on holiday!
Awesome breakfast, great variety. Friendly & helpful staff a credit to the hotel. Bedroom. Location to city centre
Need a rowing machine in the gym and maybe a tv that shows football in the viola lounge..
Tour guiding from the Hotel staff and good breakfast
Longer open time for Bar, fitness room and Sauna
Very friendly and efficient staff, despite the pressures that they seem to be under due there being too few of them. Lovely spacious family rooms. Good breakfast selections. Easy walk/short tram or taxi ride to the city centre.
Whilst we were at the hotel there were too few staff manning reception and the bar/restaurant.
We got a fantastic big room, well cleaned & with nice views. Happily surprised! WiFi connection was great as well. Nice walk into the center of Helsinki.
Price of beer in the bar, however that is something more for the city in general.
Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, helpful and polite staff.
A little far from the centre.
Staff very friendly and welcoming, rooms well equipped with great views, easy access to Tallinn ferry port, breakfast was great. Generally a fantastic hotel - would definitely stay again.
Nothing really, except the double room was actually 2 very large single beds pushed together. A bit off-putting but the beds were so comfy it didn't really matter in the end. May just have been our room anyway.
Large room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Next to the bus stop
Bit outside the central part
Nice superior room on the 7th floor with good beds and furniture, incredible breakfast buffet, friendliness of the staff, near to 2 tram lines
Sauna only in the evening, access to the reception rather steep when with luggage; the first superior room we had on 2nd floor was huge but with too tiny bathroom and no safe
Good location and reasonable price.
Hot stuffy room even with moderate summer. Toilet had no ventilation.
It was great to be able to walk every were,or the transports links were good as well.
The hotel is located 15-20 min walking distance from the center, but we liked it. It is at some sort of harbor, but does not feel industrial at all. The hotel offers free bicycles, which we used to tour along the Helsinki coast and the center. That proved to be the highlight of our tour of Helsinki. Excellent breakfast!
Roomy, 2 toilets,exellent breakfast
No chance to control the room temperature just by opening the window.
Very nice hotel, helpful staff and very nice breakfast
Quality and speed of wifi
Room was good size, clean.
Sofa bed to hard
Nice spacious and comfortable superior room. Friendly staff.
Crowded breakfast, more space needed. Mold on the walls around the bathtub.
