Third visit to spacious room and warm pool, this time without welcoming weather outside, so much more comforting.
No complaint at all.
Location Trees Water Pool
2nd floor rehab
From my room on the 4th floor I had a splendid view across the sea.
My room did not have AC, which was a problem, as it was really hot during the week I stayed.
The pool area was great and the there were sufficient fun activities at the hotel to perform.
The rooms only have single beds and there is no option for double beds. The biggest issue is that there is no airconditioning in any of the rooms. Only a small desk fan is provided for the rooms and this is not at all sufficient during the summer months.
Great location, amazing nature, beautiful and surprisingly warm Baltic Sea, nice sauna, nice and quite big pools (maybe a little bit outdated, without all this fontaines and tropical showers, just pools). Also bike rental was quite cheap for Finland (6€ for 2h, 10€ for 4h). I recommend very nice dinner buffet while breakfast is quite simple. And I was afraid of too much older people cuz of many reviews I've read, but it was ok, there were all ages actually and nice finnish pensioners didn't bother us at all :) In my opinion, that place is not for people who likes nightlife and so on, it's for them, who wants to explore the nordic nature and enjoy the beauty of Ruissalo Island. I really loved it!
Hm, bikes - they were really uncomfortable for me... And maybe conditioning - it wasn't working, but we opened a window and it was fine, and seaside view did the rest)))
The outlook from the room was excelent. The breakfast was very good and rich. The breakfastroom was very nice. The position of the hotel is magnificent. However the water in the sea is not looking so nice. Seems polluted but probably not according to laboratory test displayed close to the hotel.
There were no air condition and it was about 30 degrees C at the time. A fan in the room was not enough and the windows couln't be opened all of them. Sometimes the room was not cleaned so we had to ask for it. There was not a minibar in the room so we could not chill our water.
Good location. Great pool and spa area.
Room not made up for 2 nights. Restaurant service is incredibly slow.
Nice facilities, classy though informal. Good room with balcony; food was not cheap but was good. Quieter location but bus to Turku is convenient, and beaches by campsite were good
The geese are cute but messy, didn't want to swim in the bay outside the sauna. Use the beaches by the camp site!
Quiet location and terrace restaurant
Room too much warm. Air conditioned not working. fan full of dust. In bathroom hoold full of mold. It looks like old hospital
Very nice hotel in a beautiful location. With swimming pool and sauna.
No air condition in the room. On the hot July stay it felt quite suffocating.
No air conditioner in the room
Good location, surrounded by nature, close proximity to main city, well connected by bus to the city, nice marina, good restaurant coverage in terms of clock-time so you don't turn up late and go hungry, good food in the restaurant, nice facilities (try their massage-chair, it's surprisingly good), friendly staff. Ideal for a summer break with young children.
Hotel should include packaged activity solutions in and around Turku. For those who are not big on planning much, would love to have a pre-planned activity package -- may be tours in the nearby areas, activity group (there are kayaks and boat on rent, why not include tips for beginners with some lessons).
no conditioning in my room
Beautiful area, near to Turku. Breakfast until 11 am.
Too hot in the room (28C, while 24 outdoors), no air conditioning, only a small fan that was making horrible noise during night. Bus stop under widows also adding up to the noise. Spa facilities very basic. Some of products on the breakfast menu (e.g. fruit salad) were not good quality.
Staff friendly and helpful. Facilities very adequate. Enjoyed the meals and met other guests who were great sports, informative and engaging.
Small rooms and no air conditioning.
Staff was very friendly and good.
Some details, sauna not warm enough, broken.
Swimming pool, gym, location
Breakfast was very bad, playground for children was very small
Nature surrounding hotel is beautiful. Pool area great and nice facilities overall.
Rooms are worn out.
Great location and very comfortable rooms.
Could do with tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms - a basic requirement for any hotel!!
The view, location, nature, quiet.
In comparision of the last years, the cleaniness and the overall quality has decreased. The junior suite had no table on the balcony, only two dirty plastic chairs, the curtain was full of with holes, the floor was not clean when arriving to the room and the minibar fridge was smelling very bad. For the price I paid, I would have expected a clean, well-equipped room.
The location of the hotel is very nice. It's on a cosy island directly on two bays. It's so quite there, you will be just in the pure nature of South-Finland.
Some parts of the hotel looks like a sanatorium. In some corridors you will find a beige-wide linoleum. It reminds on the home of old people where my grandma lived.
staff very helpful and courteous food was good
old: in need of a facelift (new floors, etc . grounds should be trimmed more to see the harbor.
Staff was very kind:) View through our window was amazing!!
It really depends what are you looking for: a wonderful place for nature trips and relax. Clean, nice, helpful staff, great value for the money
Far from the city, and can't do almost nothing without a car. Rooms very simple in furniture.
