Great cabin, love the private sauna in room, decor and comfortable beds. The free courtesy bus to and from airport was a real bonus. Very convenient to Santa's village as well as easy to make tour bookings. All staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was nice and provided a lovely hot breakfast each morning.
We had such a great time, there is nothing for us not to like about this resort.
The cottage houses with private saunas are fantastic. Also right next to the Santa Claus Village which is quite fun.
Location :everything about it. Breakfast WiFi
No supermarkets available in vicinity and not much options for dinner/lunch in park restaurant.
Breakfast is included in the price and is very good with a wide range of food available - the. eggs were great! We also had dinner in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised as the food and service was of a high quality and quite good value for money as we paid 70 euros for 2 including drinks. We also recommend the Arktikum musuem in town. The Resort has all the Santa and Arctic Circle stuff you want and the cabins were roomy and well designed, including a sauna.
Unfortunately mid-October means that many activities are closed.
The cabins with the saunas, the ability to rent two cabins in the same building, the breakfast and the fact that santa i close by
There are not so much to do during low season
Nice cabins, shuttle to airport - even early in the morning.
We loved being picked up and returned to the airport. The bus to town cost 3.90 euro per person and ran hourly so we could visit museums and shops. To have our own sauna was a pure luxury for Texans who needed to warm up. And the Santa displays with Finnish scenes from olden days and Santa himself were great to view. Also got 10% discount at Marimekko shop in plaza next door.
I was surprised that even the small picture with Santa Claus was 20 euros. We thought that was way too expensive, particularly if you were a family spending a holiday at the Village.
Good environment and Good Hardware
No so much activities except to see the Santa Claus and souvienor
I went in summer, but I guess in winter must be beautiful. It has lots of treking routes. The breakfast was good (they do creppes)
Everything is a Souvenirs shop. And you must pay for everything. Even for look at the reindeers (there are reindeers all over Lapland). Prices are too high, including the picture with Santa.
Santa Claus experience Natural ambiance Connectivity to Airport
Lots of adventures and activities In room Sauna Excellent room Nice place
Lots of children, only if you expect that Far from the main city center
Sauna, new rooms, spacious and next to Santa Village
This place is after your wallet and charges for literally everything - buyer beware before booking here. I had to insist for them to honor the booking genius 2pm checkout
Nice place and nice staff.
No air conditioner in the house and most of the window cannot open. Many mosquito in summer so we cannot open the window in night time.
Hot rooms, no airconditioning, very unconfortavel because of this point
Quiet and nice cottage, very confortable with Sauna. Staff is friendly and gives us the best to make a lovely stay. Many food and choice for breakfast.
the breakfast and the free transfer is good.
as our cottage is quite far away from the office, it is better to help us to pick up the luggage to the office upon request.
Great accommodation. Especially nice to have your own sauna. Easy access to the village. Good restaurant and breakfast.
The fact that you are in the middle of it all and its very quiet and peaceful.
It was at the location of the Polar Circle, which made it attractive to b there. They offered very good excursions as well!
The breakfast was very basic and tasteless
The location is excelent, wi-fi works perfect, you have a lot of space for parking, you have private sauna
We came in summer for 1 night, we were almost alone in the village and in the cottage. We got the 1st cottage looking directly to Santa's home. Inside it is modern and clean, looks fresh new with sauna. All activities are close to the cottage. Santa himself was very nice person to meet.
If you're enough reach to take the whole cottage (double price), not 50% for the family of 2+2/1 kids, or you're ready to live in the only one room together with your small kids during all holidays, or you are just having 1 night when passing by, and you will have no neighbor, or your neighbors are your friends, whom you wish to hear and meet all the time, it's good. For others, especially if you neighbors will be for example 4 young students, eager not to waist time of life and you're with small children, or like some patience on vacation- definitely, all the village is not for you... Basically, it's not a cottage, if you don't pay a double price. All cottages stay absolutely close to each other. You need to drive to Rovaniemi, if you need a shop, if you stay several days and have already visited all 5 activities around. Also, surroundings are not ready yet- surface around looks like a construction area, but it might be ready in winter time 2014/2015.
Loved the room- very spacious and lovely ambience, having my own sauna was so special ! Loved the front porch with the table out in the front and the Christmas tree which they lit in the night..The staff was extremely courteous , helpful and very friendly .Loved every bit of my stay
The location of the cottages and facilities provided (Sauna, Wifi, Breakfast etc.) were too good. Especially a hotel staff named 'Markku' was too firndly and very helpful.
Not all the staffs were completely informative about the tourist destinations. Also, cleaning of the cottage (during the stay) was 'On demand' and invited additional cost.
Although we traveled in summer, the place is still magical and we felt like kids in a candy shop. Staff was helpful and breakfast was good. Cottages are cleN and comfortable And having a private sauna just works wonders. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you
