Nice place in front of park and lake and good conection to the city centre. Good services. Realy needed reconstruction, renewing .Now It is clear that it is 40 years old hotel. Hight prices but this is problem of the scandinavia.

Excellent location, very kind staff. Was disappointed with my room was 702, which had no mini bar, had an overall neglected look, was warm (it wasn't even hot outside) and was not fresh feeling and even smelling a bit unfresh (not stinking). The restaurant was a disappointment with my lamb dish being cold and personel was warm and friendly but didn't know how to deal with that issue... the breakfast was okay, but nothing more. It felt like a factory with a lot of customers, paper cups for the coffee... I am critical as I travel a lot, and would have valued the opposite, positive, experiences in as much of a detailed way!

Location is decent. The hotel was organised in an uneffective way - 30 minutes in a queue to check-in is way too long (staff was not optimising their activities at all to adapt to the situation). They were as well unwilling to order taxis while there were none in front of the hotel. Room equipment was quite outdated and very smelly. Very basic products in the bathroom which itself was quite old and worn. Ironing possible only in a corridor spot on another floor.

Good location for sightseeing, several sights reachable by foot but also just by a tram/bus stop. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Old hotel but good value for money if you're after a short city break.

It is conveniently situated if you travel by car, the breakfast is relatively good - at least there is some varieties of dishes. The sauna has an amasing view over Helsinki, but it is not hot enough. We liked the swimmimg pool best of all: the water temperature was perfect and we could swim there qiute a lot and with great pleasure! This time we didn't like how the rooms were cleaned. It was very vdisappointing. Next, the restaurant menu was rather poor: the dishes were cooked very well, but there was almost no choice - chicken, lamb, beef - one dish each. It's not very good for long stays. Moreover, we had to wait for quit a long time to be seated in the restaurant just because of the neglection of the restaurant staff. This is not a complaint! It is just a nostalgia for the old scandic continental!

The sauna and the swiming pool. Even though the hotel is quite old (40 years old) it is well maintained. Having in mind that I stayed at the hotel in February, when outside is cold, the room was too cold. A family with kids under 10 years old would have a serious problem in avoid catching a cold. I understand that the heating system costs money but for euro 124/night should be a little bit warmer.

Regional menu Very polite sympathetic night receptionist when I called regarding over-hot room No individual heating control in rooms - had to open a window .... And in17 degrees. Slow restaurant service but with odd timing; when we did ask for extra 5 mins to consider dessert the waitress never came back! Dreadful static shocks (regardless of shoes) from lift buttons, door handles etc - appreciate this is partly atmosphere/climate but should be some way of stopping this, please!

Breakfast was great. Free wi-fi is plus. Limited access is quite comfortable. Bath instead of shower cabin is very-very big plus. Swimming pool and sauna was on the middle level - no outside terrace as it was promised on photos and description, sauna itself was not enough hot, sym devices were out of service. Room was connected by door with another room - there was a lot of noise from it. There was no bathrobes.
