Location in the centre of the town, lots of bars, restaurants

Cleaning of the hotel room was very nasty. Dust under the bed, sand on the bathroom floor, blanket slip had nasty spots. Remind me three star hotel in India.

Hyvä ja monipuolinen aamiainen, tilava parkkihalli. Hyvä sijainti ja siisti hotelli.

Perhehuone oli ahdas 2 aikuiselle ja 2 lapselle kun vuodesohva oli levitetty. Lapsi valitti, että sohvalla oli kuhmurainen alusta nukkua. Olisimme kaivanneet vedenkeitintä ja mahdollisuutta keittää kahvia/teetä. Lasten leikkipaikkaan voisi satsata, nyt siellä oli pikkuinen liukumäki ja kasa epämääräisiä leluja epämääräisissä koreissa.

Location, design and high standard of the room, comfortable in superior room. Good breakfast. Very helpful member of staff on reception called Heidi, who really tried to help regarding the temperature.

The temperature in the room, and the rest of the hotel was really cold. The policy as far as we were told is to keep all the rooms and areas at 21 degrees,despite there being a control in the room which made no difference at all. but there was a constant blowing of cold air throughout the hotel and it was really uncomfortable. The staff were really friendly, but had no way of over-riding the controls. They provided extra duvets for the night time, but otherwise the room remained cold. Same for the dining room at breakfast, where the food quickly became cold, and we noticed guests in the lobby kept their coats on. Shame really as it was a good hotel

Considering the usual prices for finnish hotels, this at 95 euros for a standard room, should be considered a bargain. Excellent location, right in the commercial center of Turku, with restaurants and shops just few meters away. Large enough room, with shower, although no mini bar or other amenities.

Nothing really on the bad side, but if you are looking for atmosphere in hotels, this is not the place. Has all the characteristics of chain hotels: impersonal, big and austere decorated.

We found all the comfort of a high-quality hotel; and the breakfast was excellent; location also is very good...

The people at the reception desk were welcoming and helpful. Our room was attractive and comfortable with great light for reading in bed. We appreciated the Wi-Fi convenience and the emphasis upon safety. We especially enjoyed the generous and delicious complementary breakfast. It was one of the best we've had. The location of the hotel was even better than I had hoped for, with the river, the market square, and several tourist sites within close walking distance.

The entrance is a bit strange, coming into a mixed use area on the ground floor with the reception area and lobby up a flight of stairs or an escalator.

Location was great, downtown of Turku. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was always fresh and pleasing for the whole family. We liked having a sauna, a gym, and covered parking accessible. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. Overall I would recommend Scandic Julia.

We stayed @ Scandic Julia for two weeks and the first week we did not have cool air, AC in our room. It was hot and you could only open a small window. The staff told us that they were working on it but finally after a week of being uncomfortable they gave us a new room with cool air. Dinner menu was pretty pricey and the steaks were not that great. We were missing a pool.

Not expected such a trendy hotel in Turku! it is a pleasant surprise. breakfast, personnel, bicycles, espresso bar, gym (small though!!) are all good. one can easily see that hotel is new or recently renovated. Keep it up!

Room could be little bigger

Renovated inside, very good WIFI-connection. Good variety at breakfast buffey. Nice sauna and small gym. Location in the centre of Turku. Lidl food-store in the same building with the hotel!!

convenient location for all main sites. on main bus route from Turku airport excellent breakfast (buffet style). staff helpful and knowledgeable free use of a couple of bicycles comfortable beds

more bikes available would be good - we were party of four and only 2 bikes available Would prefer to have facilities for making hot drinks in room

The breakfast was amazing, the 15 euro charge to park overnight not so.

Described as a family room, ours had one proper and one fold up bed.

The location was good. The hotel room was clean and nice. Breakfast was very tasty.

There was no free parking (or at least lower parking fee) for the hotel guests.

Price and locatin ok. Breakfast good.

Restaurant somewhat chaotic in the evening. Staff poorly informed about important family activities. What was called a family room was actually a regular double room.

The hotel is comfortable and clean, nice, located in the centre, helpful staff for a very good price. I can warmly recommend it.

The steep slope driving into the parking house was slippery because it had been raining. The tyres were spinning badly when we drove up. My sister was not able to drive up the slope, she had to reverse out and it smelled burnt from her car. Eventually they got the car up the slope by driving on the wrong side of the road. Not a great first impression of the hotell. Children got scared by the incident. If you are planning to keep this parking space you should ask the owners of the carparking to look over tarmac/road surface by the entrance/exit to carparking. The button you press to get into the carparking should be highlighted. It was no clear instructions on what to do when you are a hotelguest.

Everything was great.

One thing I missed is opening windows, but you cant have everything for the price.

This is the second time while staying in Turku for a customer visit, that I booked this hotel. This time, I even got a nicer room then the first time. My colleague and I also had dinner in the hotel and food and service were excellent.
