clean room and sauna, good enough breakfast, friendly staff

The hotel is localed in the heart of the city in 5 min walk from Central Railway Station and very close to main tourist attractions and shopping area. There are a lot of cafee, bars and restaurants around. The metro station is in front of hotel as well as tram stop ( just behind the corner ). Very frindly staff. Good restaurant. The hotel is located in historical building of 1930-th

Rooms are relatively small and old-fashioned, some smell in corridors and bath-room, no tea-facilities in rooms. But the general impression from the hotel is good and these details are not important

I'm a SPB Sokos guest and I was disappointed by sokos Helsinki. The price, the service in room, the sauna. I'm sorry but now I can say that GLO is much better than Sokos and I will not try Sokos again.

Room equipment is excellent. Two beds and a bath are blazing

The room is big ienough for the family with 3 children. Location.

I don't think we will stay here again. There is nothing in this hotel that makes your stay in Helsinki very special. Breakfast is nothing remarkable, a staff service is average, the whole building looks a bit old.

I have already stayd in the hotel and I liked its location. I liked also the breakfast buffet.

It was a little bit noisy when I opened the window at night and I could hear music and voices from the opposite bar.

Everything about this hotel was good. Front desk was by far one of the friendliest and best I've every encountered.

Located in the heart of Helsinki. It is very cozy. Friendly atmosphere. Courteous staff. It was a pleasure to spend time there.

Much noise can be heard from other rooms. There was also very noisy at 4h each morning due to cleaning of snow from the street.

Excellent breakfast, excellent position in the center of Helsinki

location: just in the city center near by all major shopping centers. good breakfast with big vetaity of food great french restaurant, but better to reserve table we was with dogs and hotel gave a small present for them - it was very nice.

Hotel charges 12 euro per delivey in roomservice. Which is fine when mentioned in the general hotel information and/or in in the dinner brochures. That is not the case, it is hidden in a leaflet with vip offers for best customers. I find that unacceptable for this chain of hotels. After a long discussion at reception costs where waived, the amount is fine when communicated.

Location

The staff were very unfriendly and our reservation was mixced up meaning we ended up with a twim room instead of a double. The hotel refused to provide us with a double room unless we paid an extra €25 per night which I find exhorbitant given the basic rates already charged. I am a regular visitor to Helsinki but this will be my last stay in a Sokos Hotel.
