The only things I liked it was location and room size- it was really large I had problems in this hotel constatntly - from the moment I arrived. First, the room I was given was not well cleaned, thus I was given another room. However, the room was already occupied and I disturbed the person who was already living there. Thus I had to go back to the reception (again) to be allocated to a new room. Next day I had to ask twice that my room would be cleaned, but it was only at 4:00 P.M. when it finally happened (very poorly though). On the third day my room key stop working - I received appologize, it was fixed and I was given a ticket for a free drink what was really nice. However, I went to my room just to find that the trash from trash bin was left on my table (!!!). Also, taxi that was arranged by hotel staff to take me to the airport, charged me for 40 euros instead of 25 claiming that they have a deal with the hotel (!!!). Thus, I will never ever stay at the any hotel again that is related to the sokos hotel group.

Close to the shopping area, to public transport (although it can be said about many hotels at centre), friendly stuff at reception, not bad wi-fi! and excellent breakfast! Very good breakfast indeed! Coffee, all sorts of tea, breads; several choices of cheese and ham, hot chocolate, some fruits, hot dishes, vegetarian option, porridge. Good and tasty food. Room is spacious enough and warm. Next to hotel are situated night club, karaoke and bar, so for light sleepers sleep can be an issue here. Unfortunately our room was also next to ice making machine, during one night there were several drunk finnish parties who were really exciting at throwing ice at each other, banging at doors and making all possible noises in their condition. Not pleasant experience at all. And that kind of things are not expected at hotel like this. One more minus: the breakfast is served in very small place, surely for that kind amount of rooms, two small halls are not enough. You have to wait and find place to eat, which is hard, because breakfast is very good. About room: no tea making facilities.

Really good hotel. Very close to my destination point. Next time on my trip to Helsinki I'm going to stay there again. I think you may found it interesting. After booking the rooms via your site I called the Sokos Hotel Helsinki just to make it sure the booking is OK. The receptionist answered: "Don't worry. If you booked it via booking.com it's OK!" Not bad for your site motto ;-)

I enjoyed the good, hearty Finnish breakfast. There was a good selection of items. I enjoyed the free wi-fi, and its central location and therefore easy access to many places in the city centre. The room was comfortable and clean. I also used the sauna. I wish they could have provided kettles in every room. My room, on the second storey, overlooked a McDonald's sign - so not much of a view. The price was rather high compared to a similar quality of hotel elsewhere - but then I suppose Finland is expensive as a whole.

I paticularly liked its location and the fact that there was a free Internet spot at the reception so that every guest could take advantage of it. I think its breakfast was rather poor for my liking and the breakfast hall was almost always too crowded although they specifically mentioned that the last hour of the breakfast is always the most crowded.

Staff was very nice 1. In room was very cold because of air condition which can’t be control by yourself; 2. the room looks like a prison - very dark, looks depressing, TV on the left side from the bed not in front ; 3. at breakfast time difficult to find a place in buffet.

The proximity to the city centre. Cleanliness and quality of the rooms, breakfast poor quality. Comparing the experience we had in this hotel with other hotels in Helsinki we've experienced, this hotel gives bad value for too much money.

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good though it was crowdy in the restaurant in the morning. Hotel is close to central railway station and centre of the city with a lot of restaurants, shopping, etc. around. Rooms are not very spacious but clean and well equipped. Hotel facing a pedestrian street, so, you have to walk about 100m with your luggage from the nearest place where the taxi can stop. It takes time for the airconditioning to cool down the room (but it's very quite).
