A big city by Finnish standards, with almost 210,000 inhabitants, Tampere still manages to feel like a small town. In the centre, everything is within walking distance.
Some 170 km north of Helsinki, Tampere has direct flight connections with Stockholm, Copenhagen, Riga, London, Dublin, Frankfurt and Bremen.
The distance from the hotel to the airport is 18 km, to the train station is 0.5 km and to the bus station is 0.3 km.

The staff (who continued to speak Finnish although I have never learned it, but speak like most Tallinners), friendly to my son. The view from the 17th floor, room design. It was impossible to cancel booking.com reservation for another room at the reception desk (in other hotels it is possible). I had to use the one (!) public computer of the hotel to cancel via booking.com. (A helpful elderly black haired cleaning lady gave me her pen (penna in Finnish), so a touch of warmth). The breakfast room had no divisions, meaning that it was a sort of large canteen room which made you feel very small in a huge croud. But otherwise, I preferred Sokos to our Scandic experience, both in Tampere. |

The hotel has an appealing lobby and bar area. the decor of the rooms is modern and comfortable - the pillows in particular! The staff were not very helpful when the fifth member of our party asked for assistance finding alternative accommodation as the hotel was fully booked. The manner of one receptionist bordered on rudeness. |

Excellent room including tea making facillities. No problem aquiring milk as necessary from either bar area. Good choice at breakfast. Resteraunt overdone on sauces & spices and not everyone likes garlick. |

The location is perfect to explore Tampere, the facilities were excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I thought it was good value for money and would recommend it. The sauna was delightful and although I don't have kids, Oni the squirrel was very funny. Thank you. |

Great Location. Great comfort. Great Staff. Quiet. Not expensive considering what you get. Dont listen to travellers who give out about the price. Value for money. Agree that price reflect the standard of living in Finland but again did not find it expensive for what you recived. |

A large hotel which managed to achieve a more intimate feel with the clever design of it's social areas. Friendly, professional staff in every area. Good facilities and good location. Rather expensive but that is probably a reflection on the cost of living in Finland rather than the hotel. |

Top Hotel in Top Lage . Geniale Aussicht aus dem 14ten Stock . Im Hotel waren 3 Restaurants also dürfte für jeden was dabei sein Naja nur die Preise waren etwas hoch 16 EUR Parken :-( |

Da localização central, perto das principais atracções. Também gostei da simpatia e disponibilidade do pessoal do hotel. Por fim, o conforto do quarto ea excelente, sobretudo tendo em conta o frio que faz em Tampere (o chão da casa de banho é aquecido, por exemplo). |
