I had a single room on a 2nd floor, comfortable, cosy, nice design and window to a nice yard and quiet street. Very center location. Everything was very comfortable. May be a bit strange shower construction - water all over the bathroom floor. Though it goes away quickly enough. )

I had a small room (#115) on the ground floor with an extremely small bath room. Bit worn out and not really clean. Worst thing were all kinds of noises (slamming doors, fluids, generators outside) starting at appx. 5.00 h am which are probably related to the age of the building, but don't correspond to the price of the room. Last stay in this hotel, there are better alternatives in Helsinki.

Little bit worn down, not as superclean and nice as you are used to in the Nordics, compared to the price level.

Very friendly staff, comfy beds and great decor. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of food (very important for a fussy 12 year old). We loved the central location of the hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Helsinki for the first time. We managed to find it in the dark, in the freezing December snow and they so kindly let us check in early! Thanks. Nothing

Great location! Nice charm of a heritage hotel with modern and updated rooms. I had a corner room eith beautiful views over the rooftops. I had an early wake-up to catch a flight, well before breakfast time, and was positively surprised to find freshly brewed coffee and sandwiched for the early risers at the reception. Nice touch!

Interesting old building and elevator I believe the rain water system is not Ok, as it was raining and the noise of walling water on the roof was too loud and disturbing.

Breakfast was excellent! Staff was warm and welcoming.. Bed was comfortable - request for extra pillows was met! ;) Not a negative, necessarily.. But know that the bathroom 'walls' and door are of glass.. So make sure you're comfortable with your companion.. ;)

It's just a few minutes' walk to a bunch of Helsinki attractions but set back enough from the main streets to be quiet at night. The breakfast buffet is decent. Wireless Internet at no extra charge. Friendly, helpful staff. The showers in both the deluxe and standard rooms don't have doors that keep the water in the shower area and off the rest of the bathroom floor. No robe or slippers are provided in the standard room, though they're available on request.

Comfortable hotel in a convenient location. I walked everywhere I went from the hotel. They even keep reading glasses at the desk for those of us who can't see our maps! Nice and helpful staff, clean and nicely decorated rooms Would definitely stay again. My only complaint would be that I would like to have some bottles of shampoo and conditioner. To be fair, they did have "one kind fits all" body/hair liquid soap. I just thought I woudn't need to bring toiletries to a 4 star hotel. And a coffee maker would be nice! (I believe this is available with a 20 Euro room upgrade)

The room for our family of four (two adult and two teens) was much larger than we expected, with a separate lounge for the kids to sleep on a Pull out couch. Breakfast was great, there was plenty of food to cater for even the pickiest of eaters. The staff was very accommodating and it was easy and safe to use their left luggage service. There was no fitness room which disappointed the kids, and the bar at the top of the hotel was so popular we could never get there and find a seat. All in all minor issues.

Perfect location near the city centre. Breakfast is really good. Rooms are really small and uncomfortables. Bathroom is really, really small. Even for only one person it is difficult to enter. The hotel does not provide services at all. Only one elevator for the whole hotel; if the wather is good, prepare to go up and down through the stairs as it will be almost impossible to catch the elevator (people use it to go to the terrace bar)

The design of the hotel was fantastic, and we enjoyed the time we spent on a couple of evenings in the O'Malleys summer garden. The room was comfortable and large. The sky bar is also a gret asset to the hotel. The breakfast was excellently catered for, with the biggest range of choices I have seen and all really tasty. THis is the place to say at also if you have special dietry requirements like gluten or dairy free, everything was well labelled. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and felt a little dissapointed as we felt there was nothing to make it feel personally speacial, all the other hotels wee have stayed at on our honeymoon destination (st Petersberg, Tallinn,) made a real effort to make us feel special during our stay. We had difficulty with the lift as so many people use it for the sky bar, we waited for a long time for it to stop on our floor after watching it go up and down several times only to find it full anyway with a max capacity of 6. It seems to prioritise people going from ground floor to the sky bar so if you are a guest you get stranded on your floor when it is busy. We ate in the restaurant and on the whole the food was excellent with exception of the fish starter which was dissapointing, also the starting price point for wine was overpriced, when you can get a bottle for so much less just one floor up.

The location was ideal for the centre of Helsinki. Rooms clean and spacious. Breakfast very good. Staff helpful. Better signage as to the reception as the Hotel is built on a slope and if you approach from the station/main street the reception is up the hill on the other side of the building. Natural entrance from station side is the restaurant doors which are locked on Sundays. Saw several guests trying to gain access from the restaurant side. More choice of eggs at breakfast! (Hard boiled or scrambled only).
