Very friendly, thoughtful, and helpful staff. Very convenient location. Good buffet breakfast.
I love the presence of the water heater and the presence of tea, coffee, water and some fruit and a toothbrush and Map
I do not like the presence of whiskey in the room
Private balcony Well located for all activities in Helsinski My room was located in a calm area, I sleep very good Very good wifi connection, top speed Kind of nice retro room, I liked it and really felt like I was in a nice place
Breakfast! Not sure what they tried to do with the scrambled eggs ... Staff was ok... They wanted to charge me some minibar I didn't drink... Table and desk were not cleaned, marks on the bed blanket, marks on the carpet.
Finland and Helsinki but not hotel
Hotel which was very noisy, room unclean, poor breakfest
Fantastic location. Comfy beds and pillows. Exceptional breakfast.
Would have liked a coffee maker or kettle in room for early morning caffeine fix.
Nice, clean, modern room with a view on the central station. Despite being located in the busiest part of the city the noise inside was very minimal. During my stay it was unusual warm for Finland (over 30c) however no problem with airco I had a good sleep. Breakfast was on the 10th floor which gave a nice view over Helsinki. There's even an outside roof terrace.
Breakfast was pretty basic, not very special. But the quality was ok.
No coffee and tea facilities
Polite and relatively friendly staff.
The room was a little bit worn-out and lacks even basic things common for other Sokos hotels (like slippers, for example).
wifi need login again and password
Excellent staff, the furniture and decor is a classic of Finnish functionalist design from the 1930's. Don't be put off by the proximity to the train station - it is a clean neighbourhood. Top tip: request a room with an exterior view (there are some with interior views).
There is construction going on at the moment in the building - you could hear noises between 10am and 6pm. We were advised of this in advance.
A really nice, quiet and comfortable room. Great breakfast selection and kindly staff
the location. the room.
The hotel is very well located - in the very heart of Helsinki within walking distance to major points of interest. The personnel is friendly, efficient and helpful. Heated floors in bathrooms add more comfort tomyour stay - and you'll really need it!
The hotel desperately needs renovation! Even the armrests of chairs in every room seem to remember the Olympic games of 1952 - so dirty and well used they are. General cleanlyness of the reception area, corridors and rooms desires much better. The sound isolation is insufficient taking into account that half of windows overlook tram ways... Breakfasts are generally good, but could offer some more variety.
Music that was played during childrens breakfast. It was very annoying.
Superior room was clean, modern, and fit the four of us (two adults, 19 year old, 16 year old) nicely. Loved the location with public transportation just outside the hotel door and the large picture windows in the room. Great soundproofing in the rooms too for a quiet night's sleep. Staff was very helpful and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was included with the stay which was so helpful since food is a fortune in Helsinki. Very easy taking the Finnair bus from the airport to the hotel for 6,30 euro each way, stopping across the street from the hotel.
Elevator was small and we had to wait 10 minutes to catch an open elevator to fit us and our bags upon checkout. No other problems with the elevator at non morning hours.
great location, great rooftop bar and restaurant, breakfast was lovely, staff were friendly and courteous. A really lovely hotel.
Location is perfect. very close to main attractions. The room was big enough and super silent despite the noise outside knowing that it is located across the central station and busy streets around. I also love the department store inside the same building. very convenient!
It was quite expensive for a one night solo stay. No free water unlike other hotels. other than than. It was a very nice stay.
I liked the view from the room. I liked the comfortable bed.
It was hard to get a table at breakfast.
Large room friendly staff. Heated bathroom floor
Slippery bath tub can be a potential danger for falls
Excellent location, nice view over the beautiful Rail Station, a cosy ambiance of the room
The batheroom is a bit small...
lovely ambience reminiscent of 1950's. Loved the statues and carvingsand HUGE foyers.
When booking asked for sheets and blankets instead of dunas, Had to re-negotiate this on arrival.
location in centre of city and proximity to community leisure & sport, culture, history, restaurants & shopping; hotel buffet food and employees - cheerful & helpful, luggage storage, room size, beds and linen, English language spoken very well by employees
no swimming pool
Room so small
Nice big room, although at an extra cost. Great location. Direct access to Sokos shopping centre. Very helpful friendly staff.
Breakfast is not comparable to similarly priced hotels. Too few elevators. Very long corridors. Toilets, a bit old fashion, with steeply sloped ground. No sufficient noise isolation between rooms.
