Score from 1060 reviews Very good
Good location, nice facilities, lots of space in the apartment, clean enough, fully equipped, free and stable wi-fi, tv, good value for the price.
Very rude and unfriendly staff, don't expect any help with anything from them.
area, friendly atmosphere of the flat, the guy drove us to the apartment and was very helpful
suitable location of flat, close to the city center;
the comfort and facilities were top notch
the photos gave the impression of two rooms for sleeping but all beds were set up in living room and one bed was a sofa - we moved the collapsible single into the kitchen which was fine for the 3 of us but wouldn't suit 2 couples at all
price free wifi
the area of the city is not nice
The person was in contact with me said the F word just bcc I got mad on how he managed my complaint. One of the rooms couldn't be opened and he just left and disconnect his phone... Wi-fi wasn't available... They lied to customers ..... Smell of smoking cigarettes every where .... We five people one family staid in one room ... Refund was refused claiming that don't have ((((basic experience to open a door))))) while easily I could open the first room's door. Chair broken in the one room. Bed us stiff and hardly been opened.... Customer service is zero Booking.com wasn't helpful ...at least up to now...
The apartement I've stayed in was clean, comfortable, quiet and yet a convenient walking distance (that is, if you're a standard healthy adult) from the city center. Was well worth the price.
The Traveller's Home office wasn't open during the published opening hours. I got there straight from the airport at about 9:00 and had to carry my heavy backpack with me all day long, without knowing what was going on and even whether I'll be able to spend the night in the room I've booked, although it said on the website that the office will be open from 9:00 and you can leave your luggage there. No one answered the phone numbers that were published, until after 15:00 (which is the official check-in time). After that, I managed to get the key and everything was fine. Bottom line, the room was great, but don't trust what they say on the website. Don't expect any reply before 15:00. Useful tip - you can leave your luggage at the main railway station, open 6:30-22:00, 3 euros per bag.
Rude staff, confusing directions (multiple addresses given), sticky door that was nearly impossible to lock and unlock
Unprofessional unpolite staff, "customer always wrong" -attitude. Required cash payment although I thought to have already paid when booked. In addition to cash payment charged two other payments on my credit card.
My working point was around there then good Location for me. Outside was under construction to repairing the wall then a little bit Dirty looks with paint colors but inside was already refolmed then really nice room was. and... My arrival time was a little bit tight because My Flight was arrived to Airport at evening, then It was not sure to arrive to Office untill closing time or not. But they try to care that with extra fee. What a thank you for them kindness.
I made resavation via Booking.com but Cleaning staff was came for working 1 day before my leaving. That mean... Owner misunderstood my leaveing date. That problem was sloved somoothly then no problem for me too. But Please Check such points by your hands untill costomer's arrival, please.
nice central location
staff is not very patient and very disorganized. very short reception hours and they charge extra 10euro for delivering the key if you arrive outside their hours
I liked the location because it was close to central station.
I arrived on the ferry from Tallinn. I had to take Tram for 30 minutes to pick up a key to the studio apartment. This is NOT explained in their advertisement. Then you have to take the Metro to get to the apartment. It is 90 minutes of extra travel time. As a tourist this is not the way you want to spend your time, going across the city and back just to pick up a key. Once inside the apartment I learned there was no Wifi, which was advertised as free. The Dlink modem for the Wifi was under the bed and it was 5 years old or more, so the connection was too weak to be of any use. The bed sagged in the middle and I am a small person, so they need to replace the foam pad. I opened the drawer to cut vegetables and it was still dirty from the last guest. The drawer face was very loose, so I dared not open it a second time. The advertisement for this place was not accurate and it was dirty, if I had known this I would rather pay more and stay somewhere that advertises honestly.
The location is perfect - Runeberginkatu 15. The size of this Studio is proper for 1 to 2 people and the equipment meets all the basic needs, even for a longer stay. Very few and small defects are unremarkable in comparison with the price.
Keys collecting is not easy, especially for foreigners traveling first time to Helsinki. But it is possible to communicate and arrange every detail by phone with the kind owner (emails did not work). It is important to assess very exactly a time of arrival, to avoid 1-hour waiting on a frosty street with a luggage.
The property was undergoing total renovation, with cement trucks all around the perimeter. The entire building was sealed in air tight plastic and the windows were sealed shut and it was over 90 degrees F outside. The owner. Never told me about the building renovation and refused to give a refund of the payment-in-full deposit.
Good facilities, quiet and large sized room
The room is located in another place far from the receptor. It is not easy to find the place. I used GPS and called the staff twice to find the place.
Rather unfortunate experience. We arrived for check-in to meet only a man in an adjacent shop who made very clear that he was not that thrilled about having to help out and try and reach the owner of Traveler's Home, stating several times that this was none of his business. The owner's phone number on the booking was just ringing out. Accommodation is actually not at the Traveller's home address. Once the owner had been located and with him the key to our flat, we arrived at a flat that had not been cleaned, with dishes and unmade beds from previous occupants. We called booking.com to find out if they could provide alternative accommodation. Not helpful. After our arrival (early evening), a lady came in to hurriedly clean.
located really close to the city centre it was just perfect! A really nice area and near by the tempel church ;-) The price is really ok being that close to the city centre!
In a good location and very central, once you find it! The location is very quiet
We arrived on a Sunday morning and went to the 'office' as instructed but it is not open on Sunday so we had to go 2 km away and wait for the cleaner to meet us - all the owner needs to do is e-mail those arriving on a Sunday to let them know that this is the arrangement - it isn't rocket science. The Wi-Fi did not work at all. The second bed was almost impossible to get into as there was so little room between the bed and the ceiling. Not our best hotel through booking .com
Good location, price.
1) It was not within 900 meters of the booking office which is probably why we were driven there. 2) If a place is promoted as having WiFi it should be fast enough to not time out before you can even access any information. 3)The loft bed was not accessible for a couple of mature travellers.
We don't feel safe at all! There was only one key which open gate and door to the apartment Lot of noise during the night
Difficult to find the place where to lend the key Hämeentie 46. Could have better signs. Would you look for the place in a laundry???? Because it was connected to it.
Very far location from Airport Vantaa that was not described. So we lost 100€ extra. Reception is more then 500 meters from the room so we needed to go by foot with our luggage. In the room the extra bed was absent, - but we ordered it before. So we needed to sleep three people in one bed! It seems to be the fraud.
The location for picking up the key to the apartment is in a dry-cleaner that has nothing to do with the apartment and is far from the apartment (not 900 meters like they say). They gave us the key to an apartment and while sleeping a man came in. They had given us both the same apartment key. The guy was nice and called the owners, left and we stayed in the apartment.
Great service. We are vegetarians, and the owners were very accommodating.
