The peaceful location is ideal for Northern Lights watching by lake Inari and is also a short drive from the town of Ivalo. Riitta is a great host, very helpful if you need dropping off in town and Nemo the dog is adorable. The cabin is great with a fire, free wifi, sauna and everything you need to be self-sufficient.
The staff are very nice! The dog is so lovely! The environment is so peaceful! The microwave oven in the room is very helpful! Ice fishing on frozen lake is excellent!
You have to buy your necessity before going in as there is no shop nearby. Or, you could have dinner at the restaurant, so tasty.
The cottage is located into a fantastic place on the lake. Staff gave us all the info we needed and was really helpful with all our requests. Anne the guide who works in the village was so kind and gave us great suggestion for our trips. We strongly recommed to plan tours with her. The village is a perfect place to look for nothern lights.
Just a suggestion: maybe kitchen facilities might be a bit renewed. Anyway generally speaking the cottage and the village were really fantastic.
We love so much the cottage and the position near the lake, a really peaceful and amazing place! Very happy to meet Anne and Easy Adventure, so precious for us for walking around in the woods and catching the Northern Lights!
Close to lake so easily swe northern light.
Notice the pickup rule, not for free always.
excellent location, very good food, very good guide who makes your stay worthwhile.
everything peacefull beautiful place
the friendly helpful staff lovely location by the lake in the woods plenty of room to spread out
The windows didn't open
it's all about the people: very friendly, sympathetic (they provided transfer; there is no supermarket in walking distance, so the owner helped us to pick up some products in the city, he also helped us to install Russian TV channel:)) Ann who organizes activities and trips for the tourists is great: she obviously loves her work and is willing to share her knowledge about anything - animals in the zoo, mushrooms, plants, not to mention the Northern Lights. She has a FB page (Easy Adventures) where she uploads her pictures of the lights, and she even took our picture against the lights the chalet: very nice and clean, nothing to complain about, fully corresponding to the images on booking.com
Beautiful place just few Meters from lake, loveley views
Far from city
Very quiet. Quick walk to lake. Peaceful setting. Staff helpful. Cabin warm and good size. Had hot restful sauna each day.
Spending a night in a cabin 100% made of wood near a lake in Lapland is a special experience !
The place at lake Inari is nice.
The room has got very low standard, old furniture, no net against mosquitos in the window, staff unfriendly... definitely not recomendable
Nice clean cottage with well equiped kitchen, friendly staff. No mosquitos this time, wonderful lakeshore scenery and swimming. Close to the main road but quiet
Pictures lake and forest around the holiday village; ability to rent a rowing boat (great outdoor activity for the region); great meals in restaurant.
The holiday village can introduce new service - bicycle rent. It can be great addition for people who prefer active rest.
The owner is a very nice guy. He drove us to supermarket even he have nothing to buy. And he gave us advise on seeing the northern lights and we manage to see it one night even in April.
The house is big with all kitchenett. The location is good to see the northern light during my stay.
this is a outdoors place, especially in winter - frozen icey paths, roads, a lot of snow, lovely pine trees, frozen lake!. It is 10 k north of Ivalo. So we loved the outdoors location...great place if no cloud to view northern lights across the lake viewing north. make sure you know cabin inclusion there are different types and facilities. We had a great sauna., 2 bedroom, - ensure you visit adjacent Artic Zoo ( 5e) pp, - ensure you go ice frozen lake fishing 50e pp, 4 hours.... -walk up the road to the Lake Inari view point - even in heavy snow...
- icey paths to walk on...slipped over a number of times - 'ouch', - indoor fire door leaked smoke inside. Became to 'ash' - Smokey to use,
Riita was so helpful! The view of lake inari (just 3 minutes walk from where we stayed), able to see the northern light in late March!
quite far from the center of Ivalo, not possible to move around without a car
The location was excellent, located on the banks of Lake Inari, which provided an excellent base from which we could camp out at night to catch the Aurora. The cabin which we had, was large and spacious, and everything was very clean. The kitchenette was well-equipped with utensils and cutlery. The owners were very friendly and helpful, always readily offering information when asked. Would definitely return if given a chance.
The location is really nice, on the shore of the lake, from where it is easily possible to go and see the northern lights. The owners, Ritta Lisa and Jos will make you feel like at home and are there for any questions. Get recommendations from them on the possible tours (snow mobile, huskys, etc.). Also, they can help with transportation, just ask! We stayed in a chalet, which was really nice and the wifi was excellent!
The location is a little far from the town of Ivalo or Inari. There are buses, but if you are a big group of friends perhaps renting a car is the most flexible solution.
A good place for hunting northern light although we failed to do it during our stay
A bit away from city centre. If the guest does not drive, this causes an issue
The owners were very helpful and accommodating! Beautiful location between the forest and Ivalo lake! Excellent food! Transfer from/to the airport was free! We didn't get to meet any of the reindeer in the property but Nemo, their dog, was more than good company! Would definitely recommend to others!
Our Hosts were very helpful and friendly. We were met at the airport and also dropped off for our return flight home. We were also given lifts into town - all without any charge. They couldn't do enough or us.The sauna in the chalet was wonderful. We saw the Northern Lights on one of the nights, but we were very determined and stayed up until around 04.00 hrs each night.
Nothing really. The only thing maybe worth thinking about would be the optional choice at a small charge,of having a small 'welcome pack' of simple beverages, milk, basic food items on the day of arrival. But meals are available on site, so not really a problem, just a suggestion.
Great location, easy deal!
The fireplace was not working (at least I couldn't operate it properly)
