presentation in booking.com - nice in reality - upset doss-house
dirtly and tired bed-linen, absence of reception ... etc dont advise to stay there on trip.
After the booking there was a note "You will receive the door code by email" but we got nothing. Reception works only 3h a day, so we had to call and wait to get the code. Being in international roaming and all. And after we finally got in we discovered some trash left in our room - empty beer cans, pack of cigarettes, etc. Really unpleasant if not disgusting.
Very impersonal, no staff around, bright white lights on constantly. It was also very far from the center. I would not stay here again.
Easy check in and out. Kitchen is very satisfactory.
Women toilet has a password but the staff sometimes forgot to put guests' code in system. First day cannot use toilet.
Booked twin room and just hours before arrival got message from hostel that due to overbooking i can stay only in dormitory with 20 more people . However they still charged for a twin room. Bad internet
Liked the fact even though I was sharing rooms and spaces it was clean and private. Good value in a capital city.
Internet with pages restricted like youtube, mail for mac, etc. No people in the reception most of the time. They didnt send me the code, I had to called them to give me the number otherwise I was going to sleep in the street. Bathrooms disgusting. Kitchen most of the time dirty. Beds not comfortable.
>Wifi connection. >access: you can go directly from Airport. >single space. >easy to find their hostel from tram station.(1A&7) but hostel's name is a little different from Booking.com. >this hostel is in the building same as "Cheap sleep hostel".
>a little far from City centre: even if tram, It takes 15-20min. >laundry; they have only 1 laundry machine. >need to beach sandal. >someone drank my orange juice!
Poor WiFi, almost unusable. Residents did not maintain the toilets in a hygienic manner.
Close to the center, lot of positive things like public transportations and shopping, staff is nice and friendly..very cool
It was clean, modern, funky
Space was small, it was a bit impersonal, and the experience is really dependent on the other people who share the space -- ie, if they clean up after themselves, if they're quiet etc. The lack of staff on location can be a problem when there's an absence of toilet paper for example.
nice place, easy to find. cosy dormitory with private curtain and clean room.
relative small kitchen. staff working hours are short
Easy to manage with the code. Cleanning and tidinnes.
You only can find staff members in a reduced time table.
Really good and helpful hostel staff. It's quite simple to get to the railway station.
But!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't sleep at all. At 6:30 there appeared a strange ticking noise in the room and lasted one hour. Every morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved everything :D
Ommm.. Nothing, Actually :)
Bed, cleanness, comfort, privacy, organisation, toilets, there was paper for hand drying all the time.
Location- far away from the city center if you want to walk-approx. 45 min, but if you go by public transport it's close. There is only one big toilet for all of the rooms (like in camping), but, anyway, it is very clean. Kind of strange people sleep there, maybe because of the money price, but they were nice anyway:)
The dorms have individual alcoves with curtains, so you have a little privacy.
The kitchen is messy. The interior is cheap and unpersonal.
Elevator only went down to 2nd floor.
close to tram stop, quiet and clean private room separated by walls and curtains.
This hostel is on the 4th floor, but the lift was out of order.
Great value for money. Clean and recently refurbished. Friendly and helpful staff
Don't have complains
The location was easy to access. Reasonable for the money we spent.
Bed linens were not very clear. There was a smell in the open area.
All are functional.
everything is new and clean
people talk on the cell phone inside the bedroom for a long time, out loud, at night
- the design - the curtains to separate the dorms - the kitchen fully furnished - the code that gives you access to everything
- I did not get my bed linen and towels for my first night (they forgot) - I did not like that in the common areas there are no windows -toilets at night were not that nice..sometimes toilet paper was missing -no information about lockers at arrival (you need to pay extra to have a locked locker) -no staff available to help (except from 4 to 7
the private curtain for each alcove that has 2 bunk beds. The staff were friendly and helpful when you could find one. Free use of clothes dryer. Fast and free internet although not secure.
the kitchen very unorganised mainly because the kitchen is too small for the large amount of people the hostel accomodates. There is unmarked and old food all over the bench's and in the fridges they need a better system to avoid this chaos- for example each Sunday a staff member goes through all the food that is not marked with a name, room, bed, departure date etc and either places it in a communal free for all section if its still ok otherwise throws it out. Bathrooms not being cleaned everyday. Need more than 1 washing machine and dryer. Need staff there more often not just 4-5 hours per day as its a very very busy place and it gets very messy and things run out and bins overflow etc they need more information on Helsinki.
