Shangri-La's Fijian Resort & Spa  

The staff is truly friendly and lovely. There is hardly any dress code, very releaxed attitude. The food is very good. Good beds; I slept excellent. The beach is very clean. The hotel guests are predominantly (98% or so) Australians. But that's not a bad thing as Australians are very joyful and friendly people to hang out with. I enjoyed the hotel and I would go back there again.

The buffet at night is a bit expensive. But the plate of Spaghetti Bolognese is even more expensive than the lunch buffet... Weird pricing... I stayed for 10 nights but they didn't want to waive my first night where I had a no-show due to a problem with my flight. Not many tv channels and bad tv signal.

I liked that there was a restaurant and a pool that was adult's only. For a couple without children, it was nice to have somewhere quite to relax without the hustle and bustle of surrounding families. There was a choice of restaurants and pools so you could go somewhere different everyday. The staff were all lovely. The resort is right next to the sea so you get lovely views. The breakfasts were really nice!!!

I thought the food and drink prices were quite expensive. And with the resort being isolated (no other near by restaurants or shops) you were forced to pay the high prices. The food was all good but not excellent as you would expect in some of the most expensive restaurants. The resort is also spread out across quite a big bit of land. Those in rooms at the far end of the resort have quite a long walk to the biggest pool and the shops and restaurants.

A wonderful place to have a holiday. The resort is on an island with all the facilities expected (including a modern gym) and with space to be with families or to be quietly alone. All the staff are just amazingly friendly, (and a delight with children) and there's a variety of restaurants, with from buffet lunch for $30 Fijian to an excellent a la carte for a special occasion. I can only highly recommend Shangri-La for a first class vacation.

The location was great. There was a good variety of restaurants.

The place is starting to look tatty and run down. Our room was not cleaned properly at all during our stay. We ran out of soap and they did not replace it. The bathroom was dirty. The room smelled. The fly screen sliding door broke the first time we closed it. Did not appreciate that the only bar that was open after 7pm seemed to have a kids disco every night. Information on the hotel's website regarding acitivities was not accurate-e.g day excursions to Natodola beach-these had not run for 18months apparently. The place is over priced.

Awesome!!!!! The staff are great friendly and helpful. Beautiful location. Would stay there again in a heart beat. We loved it.

Room cleaning was inconsistent - some days no hand towels left, other times insufficient bath towels
