Location. There really isn't anything around this hotel to keep you occupied, it's worth going over to the hotel on the coast and spend the day there, they have activities which include snorkelling and evening sunset boat trips.
The food was good. The pool is nice, but a little too warm.
Very very soft bed, a real back killer. Shower head was terrible, comfortable shower water temerature was impossible to maintain. The AC unit was quite noisy. This place is priced as a resort, but is no better then Motel 6 or Super 8, in the USA.
The pool. The bowling green! The staff and a beautiful meal. Best piece of fish on the island to date
A bit out of town and bridge being repaired made it further
Pool area nice, friendly staff, tidy grounds
Terrible food, noisy roosters start crowing about 3am every morning, sloooooow service, room was a bit ghetto, bars on windows, dark, dodgy plumbing
Staff are very friendly, food is good taste and great value. There is everything, that you need in a room including an iron and an ironing board. I stayed here for 1 night and would stay again.
The carpet and sheets in my room were with lots of spots.
I didnt like the room and my stay at the Hotel at all.
we had a great time staying for 2 nights stuff very helpful and friendly and the food was very good specially the papaya salad with fried chicken, it is a bit of the sea, with a car no problem to go around Robert, Linni and the kids
Comfortable rooms, quiet surroundings and functioning A/C unit
Noisy A/C unit and curtains not able to cover all of the window space. Porters need to take a bit more initiative even if guests are locals. Treat all your guests alike.
3% charge to use a charge card. You either pay this, or carry around way too much cash! This is really not on
The hotel is well located at one end of town, slightly away from the main street. The pool area and small bar are a nice place to relax. We booked the suite, which was spacious and comfortable, with its own fridge and kettle for making tea or coffee.
Staff were friendly but a bit too laid back at times. The bathroom had seen better days but was serviceable.
The location is great if you wanna scuba dive through a nearby resort but don't want to spend a lot on lodging. The food was delicious, especially the curry. The rooms were nice and had AC.
There is no place else to eat in walking distance, but the restaurant is good and the prices are fair.
Very friendly staff and the food was excellent
Good place to sleep.
The place is in the middle of nowhere, so there is not much things to do.
We did a full Island road trip and this was a over night stop over. The Price per night was really good, Rooms were cleaning. We would stay here again, just not on a Sunday night and we wouldn't order food from the Hotel.
If you are there on a Sunday just remember the Town is not open, so the only place to have dinner is the hotel and it takes them over an hour to get the food to you and it didn't feel like they had a lot of guest staying so we couldn't understand the 1.5hr wait for one pizza! and the pizza had not taste! Also I don't think the manager looks after the staff really well, The manager lives on site and on the night we stayed the manager had guest over that were very loud and we really couldn't enjoy our drinks by the pool area. There also was a KID going around doing what he wanted and also telling the staff off (I'm guessing the managers son).
Location and friendly staff
We just had a couple day layover in Fiji and decided that we didn't want to do the resort thing so took the approximately 2.5 hour drive from the Nadi airport up to Rakiraki were we were able to see the real Fiji along the way. The Queens Hwy was closed for bridge replacement not far from the hotel so we had to drive through Rakiraki on detour to the hotel. The rooms were basic, but functional. We dropped off our bags and freshened up and then drove up to the Volivoli resort that was about 20 minutes away and walked down to their beach to enjoy a little Fiji beach and sand. We ate dinner that night at the hotel. The food was good and about on par price wise with other restaurants we had seen – around $20 -$30 FD for most meals. We went into town and grabbed a few breakfast items and put them in the room fridge for breakfast. The grounds were nice and we did enjoy a stroll around them.
As with most motels, the provided breakfast always seem to be expensive. They do charge 3% additional if you pay with a credit card.
The staff, gardens and facilities were all good. Hotel was clean and tidy and parking available. Restaurant meals were a reasonable price and good variety.,
The one hour wait for our dinner on the 2 nights we were there despite a not busy restaurant.
This location has very good and friendly staff-rooms were very clean.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant offered a good selection of food and very tasty
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so there's nothing to do or see around. Service was very slow and continuously forgot some orders. Very basic rooms and very old mattress Internet was very expensive and was disconnected every few minutes.
