Score from 10 reviews Good
Loved the rooms, the pool, the gardens, the view and the weather
Food was average but ok. Needed more variety with choice of meal sizes.
Amazing Staff Nice Resort
Bedsheets were not clean after arriving. We had to complain 3 times about it before they took any action to put clean bedsheets on the bed. The staff at te restaurant is not like the 'normal Fijian', not very guestfree.
Bure on beach did not want to return home
Frankly the only place of four resorts in Fiji high season, where we didn't feel somewhat ripped off. Food, staff and Villa was all very good.
The food people and service
How much drinks were
All of the staff was great and so helpful - it was enough for me to mention to my husband something like "there's no more sausage left" at the very complete breakfast buffet and somebody would offer to cook some up! The room was spacious and had a beautiful ocean view and relaxing open shower, all for unbelievably good value. We loved our time at Uprising and would recommend it to anyone.
Our Villa 12 was well positioned for the evening sun and wind shelter. Accommodation very comfortable and roomy. Staff excellant. Hope to return soon.
Idyllic location and friendly staff, not overrun by too many tourists
This resort is beautiful with plenty of gardens and small bungalows that are in great condition. Super friendly staff and it was very easy to book tours and get advice.
They had outdoor showers which were great until I started raining...
The out door showers The staff attitudes the exclusive beach, the music in the bar the golden dream cocktails! I couls go on and on about Uprising... I was there with school boy rugby tour and I will have to take my wife back there sometime realy soon. The food was second to none. The buffet breakfast was always excellent as well as the buffet dinners. Like I said I could go on for ever I was so happy with Uprising.
the standard Fijian bitter beer price seamed a little high. ( we were drinking them for $5 each on the water front in Denarau the day before we got there. I stayed in a beach front villa, If I could suggest adding a curtain to the bedroom slider doors. the block out sliders worked great but you could still actually see into the bedroom from out side if u know what I mean. even a single large white curtain that pushed right over to one side that could be used for extra privacy when needed ( if u kno what I mean ;) If you could make sure this is actioned before I return with my wife LOL
Peaceful, our bure had a great view of - and access to - the beach, free use of kayaks and sup board, staff so helpful and friendly, great mocktails at the bar, reasonably priced yummy food, wide range of activities.
Staff were great, villa delightful, and the food was very good. We relaxed and loved spending family time at this beautiful resort.
Such a comfy bed in a huge room. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great.
My room was very dark, I actually used me torch with the curtains open and lights on! Toilet was outside the back door.
To walk the beach everyday is heaven, the quality of the bure and the overall cleanliness
Excellent white beach, beautiful well-kept grounds. Sea views from bure and big king bed, windows all effectively mosquito-proofed. Our deal included generous buffet breakfast. Fijian staff were typically friendly and helpful, though not as well-trained as in some other resorts we've stayed at in Fiji.
Toilet and shower outside bure, and shower just a trickle and stone cold both mornings. All very primitive for a modern luxury resort. When I asked for some fresh milk instead of revolting non-dairy "creamer" for coffee, was offered a litre carton for $9. Refused and finally got a small jug with some fresh milk. Tip: take a cup of milk back to your room from breakfast. Open-plan dining room means you fight mynah birds for food during the day. Never met this problem in other resorts—what do they do that Uprising doesn't? Overall, the three-str rating seemed on the generous side.
Very friendly staff. Pleasant feel of the Resort and the proximity to the Village of Pacific Harbour. It is out of the way, though; min. 2hrs by taxi from Nadi airport and 1.5hrs from Suva.
We stayed in a poorly equipped beach front bungalow: dark, no proper lighting, no place write, mirror uselessly reset in the wall with inadequate lighting, access to toilet from the outside only, outdoor shower with useless flow-through heater. Clearly below par.
The staff were extremely friendly, especially Serena and Paul at the bar, the bungalow was cleaned everyday it was spotless and tge staff all went out of their way to make you feel at home, one of the nicest places I've ever stayed - I had a beach front bungalow it was beautiful - I'm definitely coming back
The only one thing is they could of had a safe in the bungalow, you could leave your valuables at reception, but it's just easier to store in your room and get access whenever you need to.
Great vibes with such friendly happy staff. Pacific Harbour has minimal travel time for local shopping and commencement of day trips, game fishing and river village trips etc. There is a strong family feel about the place because Uprising sponsors the successful 7s rugby team and the entertainers and staff are mainly from the village nearby. We felt very happy and relaxed on leaving.
Beautiful resort! Great bar and restaurant with different themed menus each night. They also had a $10 keg night one of the nights we were there which was awesome! The breakfast was huge so make sure you avail of it! We stayed in an 8 bed dorm as the privates were full they managed to keep the room just for the 3 of us which im sure was fluke but it was really nice! The outdoor private showers were beautiful, very tropical!
That we didn't stay longer!
Fantastic pool and facilities with very helpful staff!
Slightly out of the town and no footpath to other restaurants.
Beautiful looking resort, with lovely villas, and Resteraunt. Staff were lovely, we had a really relaxing stay
It is a good location for sports and activities, but not much to do beside that, a little isolated.
The staff were amazing! Treat them well, they all deserve it! The food at the resort was yummy...especially the fish. I love Fiji!
I am a softy and like soft beds...that is the only thing I can think of that could be close to not liking.
Good location in Pacific Harbour. Nice sea side and nice swimming pool. Good beds. Nice breakfast. Good wifi. Friendly staff
Quite expensive for a dorm room.
we absolutely loved our stay at the uprising. found it very clean, comfortable and very friendly staff.
part of our room seemed unfinished and that was in the bathroom. the tub seemed like it needed a paint job and the shower had some leftover soap stashed in the rocks. eiw ;)
