My viewed hotels
Very close to the airport. Good scenery.
Motel-like architecture, all rooms on ground floor facing the hotel car-park. Quite expensive. Reception not open 0-24.
Very close to the airport.
Restaurant is overpriced, food is pretty average. Service also not too good (The attendants are shared between reception and the restaurant). Rooms are very plain and simple.
Very convenient for airport (5 min walk) Excellent restaurant. Very good breakfast, best rolls in Denmark. Friendly, helpful staff.
a 5 minute walk from the airport, quite place, friendly staff
a path between the hotel and the airport could be better
Comfy room and so convenient for an early morning flight. Staff were very helpful and accomadating. Breakfast is served at 6.30am and my flight left before that time. The staff gave me a flask of tea for the morning
Check in took longer than necessary.
Nothing of a comparable standard for miles. Clean and comfortable rooms, magnificent views. Our room was upgraded because they had been unable to take prepayment from my debit card and I paid in cash when we stayed. I had not realized this until we travelled, and we might well have expected the opposite treatment. I wish they had contacted us about this as I would happily have sorted it out months earlier to make sure they had their money. Hats off to them for running what is a unique business in the area under difficult geographic circumstances.
Limited options at restaurant, especially on Wednesday evening if one is not attending the culture event, but this is understandable in this remote location. No information about hotel services and facilities in the rooms.
Convenient location: 6-7 minute walk from the airport. Away from crowds. One can watch take-offs and landings at one of the most unusually located airports while having a meal at the restaurant! Clean room and the bathroom.
Windows of the rooms with the even numbers face the parking lot. You will have cars coming and going the whole evening (restaurant serves as a local pizza take-away) parking right in front of your window: there is no established pattern for parking your car in front of your own window, so be prepared awake at the crack of dawn when others start their cars! All the deliveries also happen on this side early in the morning. Ask for the room with the ODD number! We stayed at the hotel for a week and the same very breakfast with quite a poor choice was served every morning... Not much of a healthy food either... WiFi worked only when the hotel was not full, otherwise there was no connection to the Internet. TV in the room has only 2 channels, in case you are a TV fan: we did not really come there to watch the TV, so for us it was not important. The room we got did not fit the description in our booking, but we were told that there is no such room in the whole hotel.
Rigth next to the airport-important if you have an early flight because the main town Torshavn is many miles away
A llittle lightly staffed--apparently recently had a name change and a new owner
Very close to air port; gives all you need for a comfortable stay.
Entrance could be made better more inviting.
I asked for à wake up call and à cab to the airport and had neither of both!
The beds we're nice. nice breakfast.
The advertize tempted with a jakuzi, which they no longer had.
Very kind to let us check in at 7.00 AM (!) after a long night trip. 5 minutes walking distance to the airport. Very characteristic location, you can see sheep roam around from either your room or restaurant. Rooms ok.
Public rooms a little bit worn out. If you decide to eat at the restaurant be prepared to very simple eating, almost at fast food niveau (only not fast food prices). This applies to most places on the Faroe Islands though, if you don´t go for really fine dining.
The location is 3 minutes walking from the airport, perfect for late arrivals. The breakfast is good for Faroer standard, i.e. Broad selection of fuits, cereals, eggs, bacon.
It's more a motel than a hotel. Very basic furnitures and facilities. For that it ia quite expensive. No shops, restaurants around except the airport and the hotel. In the lower room you can hear in the morning the airport crew getting breakfast early, since walls are thin. Take your earplugs.
friendly and helpful staff
too small room for a suite, none of my reqests upon ordering were honored. wifi was poor, and i had asked for a double bed but got 2 singles pushed together that kept parting
Great Hotel and very convenient for the airport. Stunning scenery.Friendly and helpful staff.
The staff were friendly and the food (although limited choice) was good.
The rooms were a little small
Nice room, we were in the suite in fact. Shuttle to the airport, just two minutos away, but useful as It was raining and the access was in really bad conditions.
We booked a double plus extra bed and were given the suite. The problem was hay the price was ALSO a different, Higher one. Lunch buffet really expensive, didn't match expectations at all.
It was next to the airport and that was ideal as we had an early morning flight to catch.
I would really like to thank the staff of this hotel. They went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. Our flight was delayed, and they offered us a complimentary late check out.
The hotel looks like a cheap roadside motel, but it is actually anything but cheap.
Convenience of location at airport, breakfast buffet was good for an airport hotel.
Room very cramped and with very limited facilities. No chance of roll in bed for child. Double room requested but got a (hollywood) twin.
To warm rooms.
Very friendly staff. Excellent Faroese buffet dinner on Tuesdays.
Close to airport, with up to date information on flights.English speaking and obliging staff. Adequate, if traditional evening buffet. Small but functional rooms.Quiet, despite the proximity of the runway. Given the dearth of options, not a bad base to explore the Western Faroes from. Go for a room on the sub-ground floor (100-109), though there's no lift access. Sorvagur (a mile or two down the road) has petrol, PO and limited shops, but looks drab on a wet Sunday.
Utilitarian architecture, with some rooms looking directly out onto the carpark. It's difficult to glam-up an airport hotel.
