Good atmosphere.

Wifi did not work in my room (4th floor). I had to go down to the lobby.

Hotel a L'Oriel is beautiful and has real character and warmth. Spacious, comfortable room with bay window overlooking the cobblestone street and view of the vines on the hills. We had better facilities than some bigger city hotels. Excellent breakfast and helpful thoughtful staff. The whole of Riquewihr is beautifully presented, friendly people, gorgeous shops and excellent restaurants.

Fantastic location in the center of town. Very romantic and convenient setting. Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Make sure you inquire about parking before arrival as parking around the town is challenging.

Do NOT drive your car into the center of town except during early morning hours...this is a pedestrian ara.

Charming hotel in the centre of this extremely pretty town. The location could not be faulted and the private parking at 4 euros a day was a bonus. Comfortable room with modern and well equipped ensuite. Good breakfast and friendly staff. We will definitely return!

The hotel is located in the historical center of Riquewir that is one of the most beautiful village of the Alsace Wine Route. Also the hotel is easily reachable from the public parking outside the city walls. It's looks like a family hotel with only 20 rooms in an old Alsatian architecture. Staff was friendly (also they did not offer to help me carrying my suitcases to the top floor family bedroom while there is no lift to access top floor...). Rooms are modern, of standard comfort and well cleaned.

They charged 25 euros for both my kids breakfast while my kids are only drinking one cup of hot chocolate and rarely eat at breakfast.

a. Miss / nil communications on the explanation of the Bus Service timetable to Colmar. There was Nil Bus service on Public Holidays and ad hoc service on other days. It is highly desirable to have your own transport to travel to and from the Village. The Village is a one day visit only. b. The wifi / Internet service was totally unsatisfactory.

The position of the hotel is good, inside the little and charming village of Riquewihr. Good place to visit all the area around (Route des vins). Cute and clean rooms. Nice common rooms in a typical alsatian style.

Wonderful little town. Pretty little hotel. Adorable rooms - watch out for the beams. Nice friendly bar on premises. Very nice and helpful staff. Fair breakfast, but substantial enough.

Quietly situated in the village. Close to all amenities. The deep soaker tub was appreciated after days of only showers. Personable, multilingual hosts.

The location was right in the center of Riquewihr. Parking facilities were within walking distance. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast, not included in the price of the hotel, was abundant and in a pleasant environment. We were three adults and the room we reserved was on the top floor. It was roomy but not easily accessible if one has problems going up on steep stairs. Very clean and well lit.

We loved staying within the medieval city walls and found the hotel to be full of character. The staff we met were excellent and although we had to climb up some pretty steep stairs it was an experience we will never forget. The secure parking was also very handy.the location of the hotel was just so close to many restaurants which was fantastic.

The bath with a hand held shower was a bit difficult. Why don't they attach the shower head to the wall?

Perfect location and quiet hotel.

No lift to our room, so we had to carry our luggage up three flights of narrow stairs. It was extremely hot while in the Alsace and the rooms have no air conditioning. The fan was appreciated, but we really needed two or more fans. My daughters had the loft and there was no air at all up there. The room was very small for 4 people.

The quaintness and the location in Rique Wehr in the heart of the Alsace Wine Country. The staff was friendly, the room clean and breakfast was excellent! Also only 25 minutes from Haut Koenigsburg Castle, a must see!

A quiet, historic location with very comfortable and attractive decor & furnishings in rooms, friendly service, good quality and value in all aspects with a pleasing attention to detail. We will return on our next wine buying trip!
