Logis Hotel De France  

Lovely old traditional inn; good food; comfortable clean rooms and after reading previous reports about lack of friendliness of staff was agreably surprised to find how welcoming we were made to feel.

This is a great place as a stopover when travelling down to South of France, also great location for Le Mans racing. Race fans will love the old photos in the bar area. Food was really good and room was very comfortable.

All the Le Mans memorabilia was nice to see and persue, but the nicest part of the stay was the restaurant. The food was excellent with very good service. The duck was propably the best I have ever had

Like so many independant hotels the decor is somewhat tired. But it was clean.

Lovely room and great restaurant.

Room size and cleanliness was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Evening meal was superb, we had the menu touristic which had 4 courses and fed 5 adults for £150. The creme brulee was the best we've ever had!!

The decor in the rooms was a little tired but we think they were in the process of refurbishing some areas.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and was in a beautiful setting. The staff were very good and the food was excellent.

The rooms could do with air conditioning as it was quite hot during the night.

Practical and convenient. Its difficult to get a hotel that can cater for a family of 5 in one room and this hotel was able to accommodate us in one room which saved us the expense of paying for two. The pool was a huge bonus too. Restaurant at the hotel serves delicious food too. We stayed 2 nights and ate at the hotel on the first night and in the town on the second night. The hotel meal was much better value for money.

Hotel in the main square, in nice little town, not too far off the motorway for our one night stop over. The room was a good size for the four of us. The pool was lovely in a very picturesque setting. A lovely way to relax after driving. We did not eat dinner or breakfast at the hotel, prefering to seek out some local fayre, however there wasnt that much on offer and we ended up in a pretty basic pizza place. We had a lovely drink to start with though at a friendly bar across the square and for breakfast there is a bakery in the square too.

Not the friendliest of welcomes from the receptionist/bar man. A bit of a cool attitude at first but he warmed up.

We stayed to break our journey South, with 3 children. The service, facilities and staff were faultless, so much so we stopped overnight again on our return to the U.K.

Good location in centre of typical small French town .Good selection of shops and country walks.Ideal base for Loire region, Very friendly staff,excellent restaurant and fine menu.

Good value for a family room.

Fantastic location, iconic French hotel in pretty main square of small town on River Loir. Quiet and individualistic. Excellent evening meal and staff in restaurant pleasant and helpful but not overbearing. Long association with motorsport history of Le Mans region as evidenced by photographic memorabilia.
