We were able to book into the restaurant and they were welcoming of young children. The large garden and outside area was also good for young children, especially if they had been travelling all day.

The walls were very thin which meant we were woken early in the morning by people having conversations in the corridor, there was also other noises early morning and through the evening, preventing a restful night. The staff spoke very little English, but we did not expect them to but some travellers might prefer more English spoken. The staff were also not very quick on the service behind the bar and for some reason kept the door to the outdoor area locked so was not conveniently accessed and quite confusing. There were no complimentary tea or coffee facilties. On our return journey we were told that they had booked us into another hotel 20 mins drive away because they had given our rooms to another group. After a long journey we thought this was completely unacceptable given that they could have contacted us earlier (by phone) and let us know.

The hotel were good at accomodating our needs (travelling with 10 month old twins) The food was excellent.

The couple running the hotel seemed to be the only staff and although they were mainly polite they were clearly under pressure. Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The price seemed quite high for the standard of the accomodation, although it was clean and comfortable.

The location and grounds

The room, decor and hotel was like something out of the 1950's!! Such a shame as in a wonderful bonny village and great location just outside Rouen but in a fabulous forest. When did you last see a salmon coloured bathroom suite? Floor tiles? Polystyrene ceiling tiles? Unbelievable!! And nothing like a hairdryer or kettle in room to vaguely compensate. Horrendous ((60's) decor. No lift to third floor with heavy bags. Breakfast was nice.Overpriced for what it was.

We booked a room with an overhead shower and were given a room with a bath and a hand held shower. When we pointed this out we were shown another room that we would not have stayed in in a fit and with a shrug of her shoulder she said that was it. When we checked out she commented to the owner that we were the people who complained about the shower. There was absolutely no soundproofing between the rooms

The hotel needs some refurbishment

J'ai adoré le cadre, l'hôtel est situé dans un petit village très calme, le balcon et le rapport qualité/prix du restaurant où nous nous sommes régalés.

La décoration des chambres est un peu vieillote, mais le confort et la propreté sont au top, de plus en discutant avec les nouveaux gérants j'ai appris que toutes les chambres allaient être entièrement refaites au fur et à mesure.

Besonders gefallen hat mir die ruhige Lage und gleichzeitige Nähe zu Rouen. Das Frühstück war ganz opulent.

Wir fanden in dem ländlich reizvoll am Rande von Rouen gelegenen Hotel ausgesprochen freundliche und mit individuellen Ideen umgehende Mitarbeiter, die uns und unseren 4 Kindern, darunter ein schwerstbehindertes Mädchen immer schnell helfen konnten. Das es keine Zimmer im unteren Flur gibt und unser Rolligirl getragen werden musste wurde uns schon per mail angekündigt. Bei schwererer Behinderung wäre dies aber zu beachten, da kein Lift vorhanden ist. Das Restaurant ist auch sehr zu empfehlen.
