Set on Munster’s market square, this 3-star hotel offers an on-site restaurant with views of the stork nests. It is 200 yards from the tourist office and 500 yards from the train station.
Score from 268 reviews Very good
clean, friendly with a good breakfast
wi-fi advertised, but didn't work in our room
Location, Location, Location - Wonderful village in arguably best part of the Alsace Wine Route Across from Paul Blanck tasting rooms Quiet, clean and comfortable room Wonderful breakfast Friendly and helpful staff
The hotel was located in a lovely, quiet town in between some of the more popular villages in the region. The breakfast was very good.
The staff weren't particularly friendly and our room was near the stairs and very noisy with people coming in all hours of the night.
Everything from A to Z is just excellent! Wonderful hostess/mgmt, fascinating location and the list goes on and on. Very highly recommended especially if you like to wake up to the sound of singing birds :) and the hostess is incredibly helpful in terms of restaurants' booking, recommendations etc... Would definitely return.
Location and lovely old buildings housing the hotel.
Quiet location on side-street in charming Alsatian village which sits amid vineyards on the lower slopes of the Vosges. Hotel consists of a cluster of thoroughly modernised old buildings with lots of character. Spotlessly clean, comfortably equipped room with both bath and shower stall. Excellent breakfast, helpful staff. We would like to stay here again.
Beds were rather hard, however this opinion reflects a personal preference.
Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are large and comfortable and are equipped with A/C. The buffet breakfast is very well stocked. The reception has a folder with tons of ideas for activities, walks, restaurants, visits etc. very helpful. The village of Kientzheim is beautiful and really nice to stroll through. It has 2 nice restaurants.
The bedding is somewhat uncomfortable and feels a bit cheap, so do the wool blankets (no quilt). The church is nearby and the bells ring every 15 minutes, even in the early hours of the morning, so if you are a light sleeper, this may be an issue. Breakfast is only served from 8am which feels late
Family suite was excellent, modern top class room and bathrooms, balcony and view of vineyards, quiet location, charming ambience, great breakfasts, walking distance to superb restaurants.
Bed bit too firm.
Nice hotel, great people, great location.
Very quiet and well positioned in a quiet wine village. Great for visiting Alsace and/or just passing by en route to Switzerland.
WiFi was close to nonexistent. If you are relying on internet, can be a frustrating experience.
Very welcoming owners Surroundings Historic background of buildings
Location worth a visit. Kientzheim is a secret gem! Our children's room was bigger than ours! Breakfast OK.
The lady at the reception wasn't too friendly but just OK. The room we stayed in was not worth the money, outdated but clean. The fact that there is no lift leading to the 3rd floor should be considered when one is carrying heavy luggages.
Quaint building. Friendly, efficient staff. Peaceful. Well-sited for the Alsace vineyards & in easy reach of Colmar and the autoroutes.
Good location, peaceful in attractive village
slightly austere furnishings
Excellent location in the center of Kientzheim. Nicely renovated old building. Very good breakfast
Great location and very pretty setting. Rooms are suprisingly modern.
Our room was at the top of an ancient spiral stone staircase with oodles of character. We had lovely views across the town rooftops and the vines. The hotel has it's own parking.
All 2 restaurants in town were booked so we had to drive to a nearby village - and only just got a table and something to eat.
Room décoration Stud Bath+shower Quietness
very friendly helpful staff, location, setting, room
Absolutely charming room , but it was the quality of the staff which makes this a very special hot.
The atmosphere with the preserving for ancient time (the old abbey).
Very happy with all of it!
Large breakfast selection within nicely set breakfast room
We stayed in the ground floor room as is was one that had twin beds. The room was advertised as having a space of 22 square meters. But it was not mentioned that the bathroom alone took approx 6 sqm. There is free wifi, but getting connected is time consuming and the system cuts the line from time to time while you are surfing! So one has to log in again.
Breakfast buffet excellend
No tea/coffee making facilities in room Bath towels were hard
