Abbaye de Maizières  

This hotel was perfect for a stay in Beaune. Very close to the centre and a very evocative atmosphere. Perfect for those wanting to feel the past. The climb up all those stone stairs was rewarding; the bedroom was well worth the climb with its view over the Basilica and was very very comfortable. We had an excellent dinner on our first night and the breakfast was the ideal start to the day. Elegant and charming. Everything about the whole experience was memorable.

The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet and good value for money.

There are no lifts and the only access to the rooms was via castle turret stairs, so definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We ate in the restaurant but found the food to be fairly average and the wine very expensive (but normal for Beaune!).

All staff were first class and extremely friendly and helpfull. Our room was clean tidy, comfortable and quiet. Restaraunt was absolutely superb for atmosphere. Food was good. Breakfast was excellent and anything we asked for was provided with a smile and genuine warmth and friendliness.

Nothing. Only concern was means of escape in case of fire. Only one narrow staircase.

Food was ok but certainly not gastronomique!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming even to our dog. They spoke good English. The hotel is very unusual and full of character and yet managed to have modern facilities. Unfortunately the restaurant was booked so we were unable to try the cooking but with so many restaurants nearby in the town this was not a problem. Everything was very closeby including the Hospices. Breakfast was varied and fresh. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for short or long stay and will certainly use it again.

There is a bit of a twisty staircase which was not a problem for us but may be for the less fit.

The Abbaye is very small with few rooms and run by a very pleasant family and staff. Make sure to pack light because there is no lift. Parking is a small walk away. We were very comfortable and felt privileged to stay at such an old historical location within the City of Beaune. The location is ideal for further country exploration and fabulous wine-tasting.

The staff were wonderful, welcoming and helpful. The food and wine in the restaurant were great, served in a very romantic atmosphere. The room was lovely and the location superb, right in the heart of Beaune.

Staff is very gentle and also the castle look of the restaurant is amazing!

Piccolo hotel particolare ed estremamente affascinante, ricavato da una antica abbazia del xii secolo, proprio nel centro di Beaune. La nostra camera era al terzo piano , su due livelli, in cima ad una torre raggiungibile tramite una scala a chiocciola ; dalla finestra splendido panorama dei tetti di Beaune. Molto buono il ristorante ed estremamente gentile ed efficente tutto lo staff. Parcheggio comodo e gratuito a 400 metri, sotto le mura.

Hôtel plein de charme, chambres grandes et spacieuses, hôtes très chaleureux et de très bon conseil. Le restaurant propose des mets bourguignons très goutus et une belle carte de vins dans un cadre très pittoresque (ancien cellier).

Les places de parking se trouvent à 300 mètres de l'hôtel et coûtent 10 euros par jour, ce qui reste relativemement élevé.

Hôtel de charme, chambre très jolie et spacieuse. Lit de bonne qualité. Super bien situé pour visiter la vielle ville de Beaune en amoureux. A deux pas des hospices!
