Abbaye de Maizières    

La ubicación perfecta en el centro de Beaune,lugar con encanto y diverso a todos los otros( es una Abadia),buena cantina( óptimos vinos de borgoña),y creo que buena cocina(cena solamente), yo no cene pero la gente murmuraba bien!!!, el parking si lo reservas antes(10 euros por día), esta a unos 250 metros( no lleguéis de noche porque si hay niebla mejor que te lo aparque alguno)!!! El pueblo al lado de las maravillosas viñas de Montrachet y de la Vosne romane conti ( por citar algunas)...

Muy caro , desayuno muy pobre( aquí hay que decir que te ofrecen mas cosas de las que ponen( muy pocas),y ordenar tu un poco de queso y una loncha de jamón ( debería haber una gran mesa con todo eso digo yo)...comodidad nula, ( no hay ascensores aunque también eso ya lo sabia antes, pero cuando vas con peques no ves lo que te falta, en la habitación hacia frio(hay que encender el clima),pero sobre todo muy caro para lo que ofrece!!!

Beautiful setting

Not suitable for anybody with mobility issues. The rooms are up spiral stairs, and there are no lifts. Any baggage beyond a small day bag becomes problematic.

Great location, fab reception, breakfast area, friendly and helpful staff.

The room we stayed in need updating, the shower was good for you sholders and below!

Location in Beaune, minutes away from centre. Very helpful and pleasant staff/management. Characterful building.

Spiral staircase to floors, a killer with luggage. Unfinished diy all over the hotel. Pretty awful structural arrangement for kitchen that breaks up the stunning stone work. All in all a bit 'Fawlty Towers'. Shame, could be terrific, feels like it needs a cash injection.

Staff was very friendly. The unique site of the hotel really made it special, and there was a great view of the church from our room on the third floor. Very close to everything in central Beaune, and there was free parking nearby.

Furnishings were rather tired, with old fittings and scuffs and damage to walls and doors. While not bad, it did not meet our expectations for a three-star hotel.

Good value and modern room. Everything worked as it should. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Amazing renovated 14th century city centre abbey. Very atmospheric with unusual rooms. Comfortable beds and very helpful, friendly staff.

Parking isn't very close by.

The friendliness and hospitality of the owner and staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Having only booked for one night we would have liked to have stayed a second, however, not surprisingly, the hotel was booked- much to our extreme disappointment! The restaurant was worth the visit alone; sitting in the amazing restaurant and taking in the ambience and architecture was priceless. As we stayed over the Christmas period we also had the added splendour of the lovely Christmas tree which added to the atmosphere.

Character and charm of the Abbeye far outweighed the small room size.

On the third floor, no lift and many steps in a steep, spiral staircase

Everything was superb. Very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast; wonderful ancient building, full of character. Very well positiooned in heart of Beaune's historic centre. Absolutely perfect stop-over.

Atmosphere was great. Staff was great. Location great.

Lights in stairs are automatic. They don't always come on until you are well into a very dark space.

Stairs were tricky as spiral stone stairs but that was made clear at time of booking so we were ready for them!

The hotel itself, particularly the dining room, the red light in the room, the heater in the bathroom, the breakfast with fresh orange juice, the very friendly owner. We did not had dinner in the hotel and we regretted it...

The cold floor in the hall of our suite! This room may have a heater in Winter, we were there on the first cold day of the season.

This was our favorite place to stay in France!! We only wished we could have stayed longer! When you enter the hotel you walk directly into the restaurant with it's Gothic/cathedral ceilings, tapestries, antique furniture, etc. Our room was on the top floor (80 steps on a circular, stone staircase). The room itself was fantastic-modern bath, sitting room, & up a ladder to our bed with flat screen TV (although who watches TV in France?). We were lucky enough to have dinner at the Abbey-5 star, fantastic!! Unfortunately I didn't get our hosts name, but he was the most friendly, courteous man. We would go back to France just to stay a week that this hotel.

It was a great place to stay. If you are not fit person I would not recommed. My wife and I are both 60+ in pretty good shape but we were tried of the stairs before we checked. Very nice people!

Stairs but it is FRANCE!

The reception and dining area of the hotel is very impressive in it's age and character.The bedroom was very quiet.

Access to the bedrooms is not easy. The stair is very steep and winding.The double bed is standard size, so felt too small for us. Dinner was disappointing. Breakfast was better.

Very nice and helpful, personal attention. Very unique to stay in an Abbey and have dinner in a warm, romantic, candlelight atmosphere.

The staff was so amazingly nice amd helpful. Were truely interested in our stay in Beaune and making sure it was perfect.

I loved the beautiful old building, especially the stone arches in the reception and restaurant area. Great location, in the heart of town.

An ancient building with lots of character,very accommodating owner & staff. No lift but worth the effort to climb stairs. Highly recommend . Beaune a beautiful village.

It is a beautifully unique hotel to stay in and you are welcomed with very helpful and friendly staff. The room was lovely, comfortable and location fantastic for exploring the town! Breakfast too was worthwhile, starting off with some of the best freshly squeezed orange juice I have had in a long time! Thank you!
