Academie Hotel Saint Germain

Das Haus und die Zimmer sind sehr nett renoviert und eingerichtet worden.

Das Hotel ist in einer sehr lauten Gegend lokalisiert, daher ist schlafen bei offenem Fenster nicht möglich. Durch das Alter des Gebäude ist es sehr geringhörig und daher ein wenig ungeeignet für eine gute Nachtruhe. Das Badezimmer ist modern, aber es fehlt an Ablageflächen; vielleicht ist noch nicht ganz fertig.

Das Hotel ist in einer Seitenstrasse vom Boulevard St. Germain de Pres, nicht weit vom Quartier Latin oder der Notre Dame. Sehr gute Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Die Metrostation ist in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.

Das Deluxe-Doppelzimmer ist munzig klein. Zu zweit kommt man kaum aneinader vorbei. Das Schlimmste: Der vorsinntflutige Haartrockner. Lieber selber eins mitnehmen, sonst riskiert man Verbrennungen an Händen und Haare.

Nothing much really...the bathrooms and new and renovated but everything else was below acceptable

Hotel staff was not very friendly on our first arrival... additionally the room was not very clean, heater worked intermittantly and water came through the bathroom windows when it rained. I heard that generally Paris´ hotels are below standard but did not expect this for the amount paid.

It is central

Basic comfort, not clean, tiny little room with a tiny little bed coming apart.

Great location, very pleasant staff, clean, adequate accomodations.

The room was very small, though adequate for one person. When I was last there with my husband we upgraded to the deluxe category to have room for our luggage.

We were given a deluxe dbl plus a cot. The room was way too small for 3 beds. Should not advertise as such situation.

Location!. It was perfect to go anywhere in Paris. It is easy to access on foot or just few stop by Metro to most of museums, shopping area and nice cafes. Also, the hotel is clean enough and some taste which big hotel group does not have. It is good to feel you are in Paris. And most of staff is very kind and speaking good English.

The room I stayed for single was really small, even the price was for 2, I do not think you can stay in the room for 2 people. In addition, the shower room was really small, I am quite skinny but I feel too small to have shower in the place. But overall, the bed sheet was quite beautiful and furniture is not bad and good point in the summer, the room has air condition. The room is enough for 1 person to relax in the night.

It's close proximity to the major attractions, museums in particular of Paris. We also enjoyed the charm and cozyness of a small inn. Although we would have preferred a larger bedroom, we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the bathroom (given European standards) and really appreciated the fact that the air conditioning worked well and heavy draperies kept out the morning sun.

When we arrived by train to Paris, we took a taxi to the hotel. However, we didn't get very far because of a "gay" parade traveling down the main boulevard near the side street where the Academie Hotel was. Our taxi driver practically dumped us out in the middle of the city without a map or any directions as to how to walk to our hotel. We stopped at another hotel to call our hotel but they didn't offer to send anyone to pick us up. I was shocked! We had traveled all day to get there and then, had walked in circles for nearly an hour, prior to stopping off at the other hotel. I thought the fact that they didn't offer to help us by sending a driver or offering detailed walking-map instructions did not reflect well on the management or staff. The only other complaints that I have is in regard to the extremely poor lighting in the room and lack of towels. Other than those concerns (and I'm referring primarily to our transport crisis), we did enjoy our stay and the people were very helpful and friendly.

Its location in the 6th arrondissement is excellent for walking access to all of the left bank and for the Louvre and many areas on the right bank. The room was plain and quite small, but perfectly adequate and it has A/C, which was critical in the summer in Paris.
