Everything was very modern Very clean Great location, walking distance from most things Flat Screen HD TV
We forgot toothpaste and the small one provided by the hotel was tiny
I was given a price for saturday and sunday and I booked it at that price and had it down on paper but when I went to pay for it on monday morning the price had gone up when I asked why I was told it was because its more expensive on saturday despite me having the price for saturday and sunday given to me before I booked . I overheard a few people making complaints at the desk over room prices and other things . I booked with booking.com I think they should be looking at some of these hotels.
location, parking, lobby, shop in the hotel
WI FI at additional costs
The location was excellent, slightly tucked in at the corner but once you turn left, a 2minute walk and you are facing the popular Promenade des Anglais. (There are so many places to eat on that road) A one minute walk to your right is a bus stop from where you can take a €6 bus number 98 to the airport or across you can drop off the same bus from the airport. The room was really nice, the bed was lovely, the room very clean. The room had a fridge, iron and ironing board. It was nice to find English speaking stations on the television. From the hotel, you can walk to quite a number of the other popular attractions. The lobby had different sitting areas. The blinds nicely darkened the room. Breakfast was nice.
The fact that there was no free wi-fi in rooms - though available in all public areas. We did not realise that there was a connection between the sockets by the bedside and the light under the table.
Good position on edge of tourist area and close to Promenade
Partial sea view windows were not openable
We had difficulties to find the place. The room was too small, bathroom miniature. No bath robe and slippers, breakfast overpriced. If you have time-go and have breakfast downtown!
Location was convenient to the Promenade. Sitting by the pool on the roof was enjoyable and having a beer and snack.
Comfy bed and pillows Good location Pool
Cracked window(safe but not appealing) Dirty vent
Great bed, 800 meters to Old town, flower markets, good restaurants nearby, right on the esplanade and beach. An easy 15 Min walk to the train station to get to Monte Carlo and other seaside resorts if you wish. This was a great base for our holiday in Nice.
Nothing that gives me cause to complain.
Well situated. Helpful staff
Cleanliness ... size of rooms rather small.
This location is just on the other side of the Promenade so it's close to the water. Pretty good sea view in rooms that face the front of the hotel. I'm not sure if the other side of the hotel has sea views. Comfortable room with bidet if you are into that sort of thing. Location is close to lots of restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
This was the only location in our France and Switzerland trip that charged for wifi. They really need to change this policy! The valet parked our car and when we checked out at the end of our stay the car battery was dead. We never had trouble before or after this so I wonder if a light was left on or something. Anyway, they were nice enough to call a tow truck which jump started the vehicle at no charge to me but it did delay our departure by 90 minutes.
Location fine beside Promenade des Anglais, located ,in our opinion, actually on Rue Honore Sauvan.
Did not get a room with a Garden View nor an extra large double bed. !St night no duvet on single bed, rather a blanket was subsituted..Requested duvet but was given a double/king sized duvet folded in two and inserted in duvet cover. Again requested single duvet but given blanket folded inside a duvet cover. No satisfaction on this although it was drawn to staff's attention on more than one occasion. Towels were not supplied on one day following room service. No bath gel supplied on another day. Staff did not appear to be overly concerned about these issues. Restaurant was on roof beside swimming pool and in our opinion was not a suitable location for dining where during our stay the weather was quite cold at night. The apppointment of the breakfast room left a lot to be desired. In all we were disappointed with the hotel and its standards. We felt that the cost of it was overpriced for our stay there and feel that a significant refund should be fothcoming to us, given our experience. We were offered a refund of 160 euro on checking out which we did not accept as adequate given our experience, general dissatisfaction and the cost namely, 1,744 euro together with other additional charges of 475.50 euro, total 2,219.50 euro.
+ Nice location + Service and cleanliness + Underground parking + Strong enough WiFi
- Parking is not for free
Pretty much everything and all the staff were very nice and helpful. Excellent food quite fairly priced. I will definitely stay there again when I come to Nice and recommend it.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. I would only just say (which has no reflection on the hotel or the staff) that the sink in the bathroom is of a very poor design: the nozzle of the tap is too short so when in use one splashes everywhere and sink not deep enough which causes the same issue.
Resturant food and staff- great
Room a bit small Poor views
Hotel very good no problems at all lovely helpful staff The pool is very good
Paper cups in the room for tea and coffee please put proper ones in it must be cheaper in the long run
Pool and near the beach
No showering facility to use after check out time 12 noon (would be good when you have a late flight)
- Our room was spacious enough for two ladies clothing and toiletries for a week. The room and bathroom were newly refurbished and very clean. - The beds were very comfortable allowing excellent sleep. - The empty "minibar" fridge and water kettle and nearby shops (incl. a small "gourmet market" and a cheap Intermarche supermarket a couple of streets away) allow you to keep some food - we had most of our breakfasts in our room while getting ready for the day - Air conditioning was efficient (even too efficient - had to set the temperature very high in order not to get cold, specially coming in in humid swimwear) - The rooftop pool is wonderful (and our main reason for choosing this hotel) and surprisingly, it wasn't crowded during our late August stay. - The staff at the reception, door and poolside were friendly and helpful. Also all issues with housekeeping were corrected promptly. - The location is good: you can reach the hotel from the airport easily by bus (and take a bus from the nearby stops to many interesting tourist destinations), the beach is just across the promenade and there are some useful food shops and restaurants nearby. The walk to the old town is about 20 min and even the harbour with its restaurants is quite within walking distance.
- Inconsistent housekeeping. We stayed for a week and got impeccable service only on a few days. Cleaning was well done but me missed (paper) teacups, glasses, toiletpaper... Also the iron was missing in our room when we arrived. We got one promptly but it was barely safe to use because the cable was so worn out. - The city view room was too dark with tinted windows. Reading lights by the beds were good, however. - The "modern" pool side music made by machines was horrible but can be avoided by choosing your spot carefully. - The quality of food in the roof top restaurant and at breakfast had gone down since our previous visit two years ago. However, there's now at least one very good restaurant very near (Melody in Rue Dante) if you don't feel like going further for a dinner.
Cleanliness, friendly and location
Location Breakfast Quality of the reception
Room was a bit small
Location, near Promenade des Anglais and near shops and restaurants. The room is comfortable and so is the bathroom, the shower is very good too. If you stay there, put Honoré Sauvan Street on you GPS, which is the true address, the hotel is in the corner of this street with Promenade des Anglais, but this street is very long and you can be lost and far from hotel. The hotel has parking, although it's not free.
The internet is not 100% ( a little slow), but you can survive with it!!!It's not a problem at all. It's free only in the lobby. No complains, really.
