The roominess of the room with all of its amenities made it a pleasurable experience. The cleanliness was exceptional! It was a quiet restful atmosphere. Front desk staff were all helpful and courteous. Nice breakfast choices!
The size of the studio; having cooking facilities; comfort of the bed and room; decor.
Thermostat non-functioning and unfriendly checkin person
Located within reasonable distance of the centre of Caen. A modern hotel which was clean and functional and was a good base for two nights
Beds very uncomfortable
Great to have basic kitchen facitilies and a fridge. Clean, modern and efficient check-in. Good location from station and hire cars. A 15 minute walk into town past many beautiful food shops. Also staff let us leave our luggage during the day. It was very safe in a locked room behind the desk.
The bed is actually a sofa bed and was very hard and uncomfortable. Would not recommend more than one night sleeping on that mattress.
Comfortable. Good location. Bed was easy to put up and down. There is an express supermarket nearby.
Kitchen equipment was a bit lacking. There was no toaster or grill. Also no filter in the coffee machine so we couldn't use it on the first night as we hadn't noticed before going shopping.
Apartment which provided everything for travellers. Clean and comfortable beds. The staff promptly changed our room as the original one was not smelly due to poor toilet system. Light and cheerful apartment. We could see the river and the city from our windows. The kitchen and its facilities were clean.
Only one washing machine and dryer in the laundry.
Nice location and free parking on street
Bathroom was not really clean
Proximity to train station, modern hotel, good breakfast
Our room faced into an internal courtyard that had a metal sculpture that the hotel kept lit-up through the night.
good location, clean , car park
Location, staff at reception
Housekeeping, they skipped cleaning our room even when they saw us leaving the room. Bad housekeeping service
Good location Close to shops Clean, modern facilities
Parking not available so had to park on street
We liked the off street parking, it is limited and you pay extra, however, we were lucky and got a spot. The location was good with the tram line running one block away, however, it was possible to walk into town and we did on a few different occasions. The staff were terrific very friendly and helpful.
Great value for money Very clean Great facilities Friendly staff
Well equipped kitchen.
Parking is not available on arrival. Told that we should have reserved it. One member of staff in particular was very unhelpful and off hand re this and general information.
The aparyment's facilities met our needs but the baby cot was not comfortable as the mattress was thin. Baby kept waking up.
The staff. Very inflexible, dismissive, non chalant. Not very hospitable. They did not have any of our booked requests like baby cot and parking ready for us.
Good location to go explore normandy! The apartment was very nice and clean. Staff friendly and good (payed) secured parking.
Our bed was horrible. I made a note with the reservation that i suffer from back problems but the bed was really bad. My partner has no back problems and still woke up sore.
This hotel was great in every aspect. The rooms are huge which is rare in France. In a single suite we very comfortably slept 3 adults, 2 of which were physically disabled. Which this hotel is very accessible to people with physical disabilities. We managed to get a room on the first floor but they have two full sized elevators so no problems getting to higher floors. Also the staff was very helpful, there wasn't anything we asked of them that they couldn't provide or offer help with. Also this hotel is located in almost the very middle of the city. Literally you have several amazing restaurants, a bakery, bank, pharmacy, mall, and various other shops within a 5min walk of the hotel. We had a rental car due to the fact that we were going to go up and down the Normandy coast several times, since we were specifically there for the 70th anniversary of D-Day. However, if we were just staying in Caen, this hotel is within walking distance of everything. Only the ww2 museum would have required a cab ride. When I return to France the Adagio chain of hotels will be the only hotels I will stay at in the future regardless of what city I'm in.
Not sure I'd call it a con but there is no maid service. I believe you can ask for maid service but there is a charge. Also the breakfast is grossly over priced. It simply isn't worth the 11 Euros per person they're asking. However the bakery is within 50yds of the hotel, and there we fed our entire party breakfast for 10 Euros total, and everyone was beyond full.
Good price and quality. The room is large, clean, quiet and no carpeting.
Location was brilliant and near to bus station and train station ..which made travelling easy..a great view ..
No tea or coffee in the room ..even tho they had a drink machine in the lobby would of been nice to have a little something in the room.. As no shops where open on the Sunday when we arrived.
Decent location but actually quite a long walk to town centre and restaurant area. Apartment spacious with fridge. Secure car-park
Requested a view of the river some time ago, but receptionist was unhelpful on our arrival and said they were full. Not sure about that!
The family room split into two separate rooms. Great to get away from the kids! Near to main centre for restaurants and cheap on street parking. No hotel parking! Staff could have been more cheerful, but we were British. Would use again though.
Location -- quiet neighbourhood -- convenient for all the sights in Caen, and for access to train and bus stations. Supermarket next door caters for every need.
A welcome pack would have helped. We arrived late at night, after a long journey from Portsmouth, so had no way to have a cup of tea or coffee. During our stay of four nights, the towels were not changed -- and no check was made on the room for sweeping floor etc.
Smelled very unfresh, not good value for money
Travelling with a young child is always tricky. Checked in curious and bit anxious and checked out overall happy and satisfied. Summarizing what we liked: Excellent spacious modern rooms with all facilities i.e. kitchenette, dishwasher, AC, fitness, lounge, safe camera parking and most of all an excellent helpful staff. (@Cindy at reception made our stay each day memorable with assisting inside as well as with out-of-hotel information. Even helping us out with suggesting where to buy good Normandie Wijn :) Thanks). PS: There's a luggage trolley (like that at Airports) that one can use to take your things into the lift and in your room. And of course, there's free Net access in lounge, just in case if needed. @Thanks Cindy for pointing these out, when was required
Well absolutely nothing.
