Comfortable beds, clean, location, friendly staff. Nice views. Cost per night reasonable. Tight stairs, carrying luggage up first flight to elevator, small room.

Location was the only good thing about it. Upon arrival, you have to carry you own luggage up to the first floor where the reception is. Staff was barely talkative and barely smiled. Lift can awkwardly fit 2 ppl. Room was super tiny for its value. The room was not cleaned during my whole stay. Could hear what's happening in the other rooms. Overall, value of this place is completely based on location.

Rien Proprete management honnetete professionalism details: Filthy Hotel, Arrogant Management I don’t know where to start with this review, but I know it was one of the worst hotel stay ever. I never saw any 2 stars, yet 1 star, hotel that had a so unpleasant stay. So let me start with the rooms: - The armoire: one giant armoire taking 20% of the room, with no rows at all, you’re clothes have no place to go but remain in your luggage. Inside, was one wool cover, I got that out, to be welcomed by 2 dark pubical hairs straight on it. Thanks room service. - The bed: so stiff I had backaches every morning. - The pillow: it was so old that the cotton inside was in balls. I asked the management to change it or give me another one, they said yes sir of course. The night when I came back nothing was changed. So goes professionalism. - The room window: here the filth takes another level, you have no idea the quantity of mold that was on that window. It was so disgusting I almost threw up when I wanted to close the window! - The television: it was so high on the wall that you can’t watch it for more than 5 minutes without having neck aches. That’s stupid. - The walls: there was grease on some areas of the wall I don’t know where that came from but I know why that was still there. - The toilet seat: was off the floor, it shook each time you sit on it. - The bath: you can barely stand there, the water balance is another trick. - The hanger for the toilet paper was broken, you can still see the holes in the wall where that used to be. Never replaced, which means the only place where the roll could be is on the toilet seat! - The water heater made noises all through the night I never understood why. - On day one, the receptionist went to the kitchen in front of his desk, I swear I could see cockroaches running on the table inside. He never even noticed them! - The breakfast is: quarter of a baguette, 1 croissant, 200ml. of juice, 1 coffee, 1 small honey and 1 small butter.

Good location, very close to Centre Pompidou and walkable distance to Notre dame. There were also shops and takeaways around, so foods can be easily purchased. The hotel firstly welcomes you with a narrow spiral staircase without any lifts. Once you finally lifted all your heavy luggage to the first level (without help) , you then have to intelligently squeeze yourself and maybe one language into their world smallest, literally coffin size lift in order to get to your level. Once the lift opens, welcome to another world. Narrow, dark scary corridors with old smell, kind of remind you that you are somewhere near a prison cell. Your own room welcomes you with strong detergent smell and very very limited space; not to mention it is impossible to reach the toilet without tripping over your own luggage or hitting your head by the TV which hangs on the wall. The shower space was stunningly small, that if you have dropped anything during a shower, it is impossible to bend down and pick it up. Not to mention they never replaced the soap after 5 nights of staying. The wall was also paper thin, we could ear drop next door‘s conversation, when they walking, when they flashing the toilet etc . In summary, it's a bottom 2 star "hotel" with a 3.5 star price, not worth staying.

Wonderful staff, warm and friendly and welcoming. Anything we needed they saw to immediately. They were very knowledgeable about Paris too. The rooms are charming, each one is unique, my sister and I peeked at them while the cleaning lady was working, they are quintessential Parisian decor and added to the ambiance of our trip. Bathrooms were clean and fully functional. Location is unbeatable. Its close to the Louvre and the Notre-Dame Cathedral and bistrots and cafes. Its also right next to a metro stop, very convenient. Our room was pretty spacious as far as Parisian hotel rooms go. Overall a lovely experience.

Good location for Beaubourg and Marais. Good attitude of staff. Lively but not raucous quartier. Slightly quirky furnishings. Rocky handrail on spiral stairs ground floor. Builders' noise at long-term site nearby.
