In the heart of the Latin Quarter, Familia Hotel is located less than half a mile from Notre Dame Cathedral and a 3-minute walk from Maubert – Mutualité Metro Station (line 10).
Score from 363 reviews Good
The staff were very helpful and friendly the location of the hotel was good for walking to the musee du lourve and musee D'orsay
very noisey area at night but that could be a bonus if you like to go out until late it usually quietened down by 2am
The hotel is very quiet and yet central, close to wonderful sights and an easy journey from the train station. The room was of a good size and furnished in a homely manner. A very pleasant and comfortable stay.
Price for the location. Breakfast at 10.50e seemed expensive however was not compared with others in the area
1. Not suitable for international travellers with medium to large bagage. The lifts are 20x20cm. Only suitable for 1person and bags at a time 2.Hotel needs serious maintance. 3.Corridors are dark and narrow.
the agora hotel is excellently situated. just one step outside you can find a lot of restaurants, cafes and stores. the hotel itself is charming, clean and the staff very friendly.
very central location, we did not have to use public transport much as most of the sight-seeings are close walk; room was very nicely decorated and gave a cosy feeling
wifi was bit slow, but enough to check emails and for browsing
Location is good for sight seeing
One of the recipnist was not welcoming and the bed was not comfortable for two to sleep in .. And the room is a bit tight for 120 euros but I guess that is Paris
The location was great. This was our first experience in a hotel in Europe. It was quiet. We were glad the shades were good because the Hotel sign was right outside our window. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The step down from the shower was scary because I didn't have anything to hang onto. We thought the price for the breakfast was too much for what we received.
micro lift.....very basic room and tiny bathroom
Price Location - not in a super touristy area, but close enough to walk to Notre Dame or the Louvre in less than 20 minutes. Cleanliness
Small facilities - we got used to the size of the room & shower after the first few days, but it was difficult at first.
Not a lot. reception helpful , bedrooms were clean and water was hot.
The location. Exhorbitant price for the quality of the room. size of it was only suitable for one person as there was no room to pass each other at any point around the bed. There was one garden chair in the room and a very antiquated wash-stand to use as either a desk or dressing table. Although the shower-room was a reasonable size the shower cubicle was very small and had very restricted access.( I am quite small- size12)The reception on the first floor was via a spiral staircase in a dark stair-well. very difficult to carry hand-luggage up it. The lift started from the first floor and was so small that realisically only one of us could travel comfortably at any one time and we definitely wouldn't have got in it with another guest because the proximity of each other would be embarrassing.. The breakfast was sparse and an extra 10.50 euros each so we chose to eat at a cafe outside. The hotel was dingy, dark and extremely expensive for a 2* hotel albeit Paris, but certainly not in the nicest area, with people begging all round the nearby metro and on the main thoroughfare. Spoilt our visit to Paris.
It was the best location, 20m from M station, near Louvre, Du Piont itp
Small rooms, no kettle, no coffee/tea, no shampoo... Small lift for 1 person and luggage, so it`s not the hotel for any disables or move-disordered. Breakfast no included, EUR 10 per croisant and 1 bagette only. Very high prices for this standard, probably because of the Sial period
large room and bed clean bathrooms
Right in the heart of the area. Good striking distance by foot for everything as long as reasonably fit and have sense of direction. I am 65,wife 64and other couple mid 50's. Good atmosphere in the area.
nothing about it had a hard time even finding the place, i rated a big 0
The picture they show in the booking is taken to diceive people we are two seniors that booked the room we saw in the internet that was nothing to what we saw when we got there. they took a single room pushed two single beds together and left us with 1/2 foot on each side of the beds and 1/2 foot from the foot of the bed to the wall no room to move we had no place to open the suitcases in that room we will never recommend this lousy hotel to anybody the worse experience we ever had and the price was high too. P.S. We never stayed there we changed hotel
The location is good. It only takes a few minutes to the famous museum. It is quite near to the metro station. It is convenience to anywhere in Paris.
One of the regulation of hotel is a little bit strange. We should return the room key when we go out of the hotel.
Location, it's just a few steps from Chatelet Le Halle station.
The Hotel Agora was in a very good location, close to the RER/Metro stop at Chatalet Las Halles. Great help for us to get around Paris. The people at the desk were very helpful w/info etc. Great that we were able to leave luggage prior to & after check out as we did our sightseeing.
We had a triple room, & it wasn't as spacious as we would have liked. The dresser was hard to access b/c of the bed placement. It was OK for a few nights, but would have been more of an issue if we stayed longer. It was on a busy street (tho' closed to traffic) & there was lots of noise if the window was open.
Only the location was good, because there were good conections with metro and trains
They tried to charge us (3) more breakfasts than we had. We had a conflict, we tried to explain them, that we never ordered and we never ate these breakfasts and finally they refund us back the money only for the (2) breakfasts. It was a bad behavior.
Position,cleanliness and friendly staff
Room very small, hardly fitted our suitcases, wifi not strong connection.
I liked the location, 100 metres from the train; near a shopping area and a short walk to Notre Dame and the Siene. Comfortable bed and quiet.
Wifi was not very good. Otherwise I could not fault it.
Location Quiet when the windows are closed Clean
Breakfast wasn't included in the price and there was no fridge in the room to store basic items such as medications, water, etc while we're traveling.
Location, location, location.
Noise, very small rooms, showers tiny (definitely a problem for large people).
Location near many attractions, very close to M and RER. Some nice inexpensive restaurants nearby. Staff very helpful.
Breakfast was not worth €10 a good McDonalds near by A few more electrical outlets would have been nice
Well situated. Close to the metro and within easy walking distance to most sights. Lovely room and classic furniture. Friendly staff. I would definitely go back as its a good example of Paris architecture and manners.
Wifi did not seem to work as directed.
Staff was helpful and courteous. Room was clean. Location perfect.
Wi-fi was sketchy at best. Night life outside a bit loud but adapted to it.
