Fantastic location, we booked for 2 nights and stayed 3, breakfast fantastic best so far on our holiday. Friendly helpful staff....9/10 Not enough pillows when you want to sit up and read. Tea and coffee in the room would be great.....

Staff on arrival were pleasant, the hotel attractive decor, quality furniture and nice pictures on walls.room was well appointed , nice bathroom. Well stituated, central but not too noisey from local bars and resturants etc.easy to get to but on a quiet street tucked away. Breakfast adequate and nicely presented and waiter helpful. Parking near by reasonably priced, a short walk away. Bed very hard, pillows very hard and room too hot, street light just outside room prevented us from sleeping and therefore both of us had a poor nights sleep. Noise until after midnight from other guests in the hotel added to the poor nights sleep-this is probably not the responsibility of the hotel however ?

Room we stayed in had been recently refurbished so bathroom had new fittings / shower etc . Bed was very comfortable .Staff were helpful when I changed the night for our stay . Continental breakfast is quite expensive at £10 a head .

Excellent location within city walls. Very pleasant reception and dining area Stairs, hallway and our bedroom have not been re-furbished for far too long. We have stayed in Youth Hostels with more attractive rooms. This needs seriously looking at-new carpets-sisal for example, fresh paint and colour on woodwork, remove wallpaper from walls and re paint throughout. This would then live up to the price of the room, which may have seemed better if breakfast was included. Details should not currently state that rooms have been re-furbished when they haven't been. Please inspect rooms and public areas more regularly and thouroughly before review.

The welcome was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were good. We have stayed here before and like the boutique feel of the hotel. We had a late ferry on the Saturday night and although we had checked out in the morning we were invited to use the hotel facilities to freshen up before our journey home. We did not partake of breakfast this time but went out into St Malo but from previous experience the breakfast was excellent. In Room 123 the bathroom light stayed on 24 hours due to a faulty switch but when the door was shut the light was not visible in the bedroom.

Everything! The staff were so helpful and pleasant,the room and bed were great. The room was not huge but of a good size for the money we paid. The breakfast was nicely presented and plentiful and tasty. The free wifi worked! The staff helped direct us to good eating places for dinner, not touristic ones. All in all a great overnight stay in St Malo.

We stayed at this hotel in October 2011. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and welcoming. The hotel is situated within the Intramuros which is central to the shopping area and an adundance of restaurants and creperies. The bedrooms were nicely decorated, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. The en-suite seemed to have been recently refurbished and was very modern, unlike many other French hotels I've stayed in previously. We had booked a garage in advance which proved to be a good move, as parking inside the walls is at a premium. The Garage was at a cost of 10euros a night, but well worthwhile, because the car was safe and off the road. This price was also very competitive, because parking outside the walls was being charged at 1.10 euros an hour. Continental breakfast was charged at 11 euros, but there was plenty of choice and good quality, which set us up for the day. All in all, this hotel was a good choice and would choose it again, if we return to St. Malo.

The family was friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a great position and it was well priced. We liked it so much we stayed another two nights. The only thing I think you could improve is mayb have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It is something we have come to expect in Australia.

Very nice stay just past the end of the season for the area. Although we were virtually the only guests, we were treated very well. Nice room, good bathroom, view of bay, wonderful sound of the surf at night. Good breakfast. Courteous, extrememly helpful staff. Easy to find, free parking, great price.

The hotel is inside the walled Town of St Malo. It was amazing to stay there. The staff were super friendly and spoke English which helped us for sure. Would stay there again! No complaints....nice clean room.

Get a good map to find this hotel, but you'll be pleased you did. It has a lovely reception area and breakfast room. Our room was larger than expected; comfortable bed and a good view. A less expensive breakfast can be found in nearby cafes, but the hotel's was elegant and convenient. We reserved a parking space which was in a nearby private garage and worth the 10 euro; not sure what other options are available. The location inside the old city is perfect; wish we could have stayed more than 1 night. The door lock system was a problem for us; had to ask for help. But seemed we were the only guests having difficulty.
