I missed a balcony.

The apartment was well laid out and very convenient for travelling and sightseeing

Good situation, in the center area of Nice. Staff friendly, all of them can speak english very well. Large apartment. Kitchen ok. No other facilities, anyway. Internet wi-fi was not powerful, but there was a pc at the reception.

Reception at 5th floor. Elevator is small, but the building is old, and there's nothing to do about it.

Great central location, good value self catering accommodation.

Excellent location and facilities. It served as a perfect base for us to explore Nice and the rest of Cote d'Azur.

Slight criticism was that the place was not cleaned once during our six day stay.

Very central location in the heart of tourist Nice. Adequately equipped kitchen, which is a boon in Nice as eating out is fairly expensive. Generally quiet and self contained. Air conditioning when I occupied a double room. Controllable heating in room

Absence of air-conditioning in the single room. As I am mildly claustrophobic this entailed keeping the window slightly open which meant street noise from late-night revellers and early morning deliveries in the busy street below. However use of ear plugs made this problem copable with.

Ideally located in the town centre with everything, including the old town of Nice, within walking distance. Tha apartment is in a pedestrain zone so there is no through traffic or traffic noise. The location was just one block back from the Promenade des Anglais.

The only minor inconvenience was that heavy rain had flooded the street drains and we did have a bit of an odour in the bathroom, but there was nothing the proprietors could have done - and it was very French!

On main shopping street and close to sea front and old town. Double glazing meant there was no noise from street. We stayed mid=March when weather was quite cold, especially evenings/night - but there was excellent central heating and we were comfortably warm.

Reception and rooms on fifth floor - not immediately obvious there was a lift as it stopped on half landing, not main floor. Because was on main shopping street, taxis etc not able to delover/collect from hotel after 10am- cooking spoons etc not supplied.

Location within city was excellent. Very comfortable and convenient. I would stay there again!

Nothing apart from blocked shower plug which caused the room to flood! Thankfully this was not too much of an issue!

My first stay at ajoupa was in 2003... Excellent, as it was ten years ago. I'll never change, best place in Nice.

no lift, noisy from outside

We liked location and comfort as at home. It has all facilities in the kitchen. You feel yourself more free than in hotel because it seems like you have your personal house in the city center.

Noisy. Doors are very thin, you can even hear noise from upstairs. Solution: to set the rule "no noise after 23:00"

clean. nice receptions. cheap price. comfortable place to stay for family. nice beds. big room, clean shower. also large kitchen. Yoga rooms are behind floor so safe for woman traveller.

towels only served for 3 days... and I think it's not enough, specially for the mat. And the smell of the room is too strong even disgusting...

The staff were helpful. The location was excellent.

This was my second booking and this time I had a much better room. The towels should be changed every three days without an extra charge.

The location was excellent very close to the historic old town of Nice. The staff were very helpful with a good command of English.

The first night I had a single room which was described as being superior. In way did the small room I was in match this description. It had an extremely small bathroom and paper thin walls. On the second evening of my stay I noticed evidence of black water in the shower but as it was after 19:00 hours I decided to drain the shower. I took a chance and went up to the reception about 20:00 hours and as luck would have it, the manager was still in the office. He had a look at the shower and was somewhat skeptical there was a problem but I insisted on being moved to another room. He only had a double left and if I paid more I could have it. I took the room and found it to be superior with a minimum of noise. The next day the manager admitted to me that there had been a problem due to a renovation next door. The single room was in a very tight corner with a very noisy group next door as well. I would advise anyone staying here not to book a single room. The sheets and towels should also have been changed three times a week, not just once a week. In addition, the front desk should be manned at least until 22:00 hours a hall phone installed in case the guests had any major problems. I would stay here again but it would have to be a double room.
