The staff is very friendly and the location is great (2mins walk from subway station). And there is a supermarket right cross the street. There is not supply for face cream and proper shampoo/conditioner. |

The location was good (1.5-2 minutes from Metro station). The stuff was nice and helpful. The room was not as small as many reviews about Paris say. :) We didn't take the breakfast, so no comments on it. The lift was fun. :) The lift was very small. It was funny, that my wife and I couldn't get into it on first day (with 1 backback for each). In fact 1 person with a backback could hardly turn around in the lift. :) The extra bed in the room (which we didn't really ned) had very dirty bedsheets! There was a smell in the bathroom, but not really like drain smell... |

Friendly staff, clean room, good bathroom. The room (No 102) was too small. It was difficult to get into the bed and there was hardly enough space for the two of us to move around. |

Staff spoke English and were really friendly, helpful and genuine. Had plenty of maps and tourist info. Room & bathroom were comfortable and clean. 10 min from Eurostar, & close to Metro. Easy to get to most places in the city. All round nice hotel. Would definitely stay again. |

I think this is a great hotel for the price. I think Westerners should bear in mind that this is Paris, so if you've ever stayed in a small studio in Paris, it's about exactly what this is. The bathroom is tiny, but I've seen even smaller. The walls are thin and the bathroom toilet is awkwardly positioned. WiFi was flaky. |

Friendly staff, very "French" experience, convenient for Metro to the major sights and the continental breakfast was perfect for the day ahead. It was also excellent value for money. |

Like everyone else says, the staff is incredibly friendly, polite, and all three we dealt with spoke English very well. Staying there felt like coming home every day, not just to a hotel. Unlike what I read in other reviews, the bathroom was a very reasonable size (i.e. enough room to get changed and shower). The room was quite small, but had a certain charm, which as I mentioned before felt more like home than a hotel. During our whole trip to several cities it was our favourite hotel, despite being the cheapest and smallest. The elevator really is as small as everyone says; it fits 2 average sized people with no luggage, or 1 person + luggage. Similarly, the corridors are only about 1.5 persons wide. The location is good but not great: it takes about 45 minutes to the Eiffel Tower by metro, or 20-30 minutes to the centre of Paris. The street was quite noisy during the day, but it was very quiet past midnight. At one point the sink in the bathroom was plugged shut, and the button to lift the plug would not work, so we had to pry the plug open with a knife (the receptionist was alone at the time and couldn't leave reception or ask someone to help), but this was not a big problem and took merely 5 minutes to solve. |

Relatively cosy room, although tiniest I have ever seen. The staff spoke English and were helpful when asked how to get around in Paris. Some mildew in the shower in the otherwise spotless clean bathroom. |

Rooms clean, staff (with one exception) helpful and friendly), everything in room worked, location central but quiet Breakfast unexceptional, foyer/reception area/breakfast room decor in need of attention, one man on reception desk reluctant to deal with requests |

The staff at Albouy were very friendly & helpful. The receptionist provided us with a map a Paris upon our arrival and frequently asked if everything was ok and how our trip was going - very friendly and nice! The hotel is very good value for money - quite small and a small room but in a perfect location for getting around Paris. It is situated about 5 minuted walk from the Republique metro station. |

The staff is extremely helpful, even before our arrival explaining the Metro lines to take from the airport. The room was adequate in size. We had stayed there before and wanted to return. Some things needed repair...the light over the bathroom sink, changing some light bulbs and fixing the holder in the shower for the hand held apparatus. |

Everything, staff not interested at all. Rooms terrible, bathroom was so small when you sat on the toilet you had to leave the door open as your knees went through to bedroom. Worst i`ve ever stayed in. |

Friendly and multilanguage staff, quite big room (for Paris), near to Gare du Nord and OpenTour bus stop. Quiet street. Easy to find. The elevator could be bigger. |

Great staff, very friendly. Very close to the metro station, reasonably close to most attractions. Good value for money. Two convenience stores opposite to the hotel. Lots of places to eat/have a coffee nearby. Actual, real people, live in the area (not a touristy zone). Free wi-fi, elevator works, rooms face a quiet street. The rooms could be in better condition. Changing a few small things here and there would not cost a fortune, and would make staying there a lot more pleasant. |

I liked the availability of the staff, who ranged from polite to very friendly. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the fact that a Metro station was just a block away. It also was advantageous that a grocery was across the street and a vegetarian juice bar was a block away. The wireless Internet was nice also. The walls between rooms are thin; therefore, if I stayed there again, I'd ask for a room next to a single guest, if possible. I used earplugs one night when the guy next door was talking well into the night. I was disappointed that the planters outside the windows were empty, not one flower in any of them; I would expect that in the middle of winter but not in the first week of fall when the weather was spectacular. The Internet was reliable but not fast enough to watch streaming videos. |
