Extremely friendly staff. The hotel is situated on the edge of Beaune within 15 minutes easy walk of the centre. However it was a cold night so the owner offered us a lift to a restaurant he suggested. On arriving there he got out to talk to the restarant manager to make sure there was an available table. There wasn't immediately, but she came out to the car with him and we arranged a later time. We were then taken into the town centre so we could have an aperitif at a local bar while waiting. Amazing service! The car park is locked at night with a code access. Good buffet breakfast.

The owners and staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was simple, but fresh and good. The hotel was clean and peaceful. We had trouble with their internet. It was slow and hard to keep the connection.

The staff were unbelievable friendly and went out of there way to ensure that you and your family had a comfortable stay in their hotel. The other reason we stayed there is because it was 'very' dog friendly. :-)

I appreciated very much the hospitality, the kindness and service attitude. Very good location for a stop over as it is close to the highway, as well as for a Beaune city trip.

Very clean hotel managed and owned by a friendly family. Recommended for a break in Beaune. Room was very small, but this was made clear in the marketing material.

We received a very warm welcome. The owners did all they could to make our stay comfortable, recommending restaurants for dinner and even kindly driving us the couple of miles into the town save us the walk there (we walked back, it didn't take long). Breakfast was extra but worth the few euro's, plenty of bread, croisants, jams, hams, cheese etc and unlimited tea/coffee/jiuce etc. We would certainly stay here again, comfortable, clean and good value.

It was really easy to find from the main auto route and very handy for the town (15 mins walk). Beaune is a lovely small town. There was a hairdryer which actually worked well! Staff were friendly and accommodating.(However see comment below) Bar service does not work well. Asked if we could have a drink and were told to wait in salon where we would be served. We waited and waited and ........never were served.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They let us change our reservation last minute from 2 days to 1 day. The breakfast was plentiful and good. The price of the room was fair for what you get. I thought it was unusual for the hotel to charge 12 euros for the use of a baby cot. I have never encountered that before. The rooms were quite cramped with a baby cot in there. The location could be an issue if you don't have a car, but we did so it worked out well for us.

The rooms were clean and tidy. All the staffs here were very welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and the presentation was great. There is no restaurant at the hotel; however there are some within walking distance or you can drive into the centre. This is a family run hotel, and one which you could tell that they are very proud of, and quite right to. It makes a refreshing change to stay somewhere like this. Would highly recommend it and given the chance would stay here again.

Great welcome- only disappointment was the absence of a restaurant following a long drive but the rooms were great and the location is convenient for the motorway> Will consider next time I am in the area.

Hotel Alesia lived up to its very good reputation. We really enjoyed our one night stay there. The hotel is very pretty, the furnishings & decor were lovely. It had a very personal feel about it, with all the rooms being decorated differently. It felt like a home away from home. The hotel owners, in particular the lovely, friendly lady who greeted us and looked after us at reception, were delightful. Although we practised some poor French, she spoke excellent English. Our room was beautiful, with just enough room for our 2 suitcases. It had a small table & for the first time in ages, 2 extra big pillows each. It was very modern. The breakfast was excellent & well worth having just to enjoy the experience of sitting in the hotel's small but charming bistro area. The only thing that affected us was that we had neighbours who chatted loudly and late into the night. Their room was next to ours & unfortunately the noise did travel through the walls. That is just one of those things, where you can be unlucky. (At 11.30pm when I walked up and down the corridor, I couldn't hear any noise from any other rooms-just the one next to ours !! We had a car so getting to Beaunne was easy for us and very close by. The hotel had a secure on site parking area for guests. There was also a separate lounge area up the stairs for a change from your room with a bookshelf. Highly recommended.

Very friendly owner spoke English and helped make recommendations for a later dinner. Place was easy to find and not too far off the freeway. Not far from the city center, where we found many restaurants, cafes and bakeries to choose from. Plenty of free parking. Rooms were a little outdated but clean and quiet and served their purpose. Breakfast looked decent but seemed expensive at 8 Euro. We paid more for my in-laws to stay in a "plus" room that was supposed to be remodeled but didn't seem much different from our room.

The really friendly staff, such a lovely warm welcome, really helpful and very well organised to cater for customer queries eg. they had maps prepared of where all the best restaurants in town were etc. My partner said he didn't find the bed very comfortable, also the free wifi isn't very reliable and kept cutting out, however it wasn't a big issue!

The owner does not speak English but is charming and very keen to please. His wife and the receptionist are fluent and very helpful. The hotel is welcoming and comfortable but made exceptional by the efforts of the owners and staff. Large hotel groups could learn a lot from these people. I would recommend it and certainly go back. There is no evening restaurant which is a shame as it would be a nice place to spend a whole stay in

We LOVED this hotel....the rooms are both comfortable and very well decorated - made us feel like we were in France. We enjoyed our champagne on the patio deck while watching the sunset. The hotel owners were very helpful with city info and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Loved that it had free parking. Convenient to walk into town (15-20 minutes). Near a grocery store if you needed one. Would stay here again and again.

The Alesia Hotel is conveniently located just off the motorway exits north of Beaune on the main road to Beaune centre which is about 1kl away. The hotel has the standard facilities of a 3 star hotel. We had a superior room which did give us some additional space over the standard room sizes. The hotel has an onsite carpark - most users of this hotel would be travelling by car. The reception and breakfast room staff spoke English. The 4.00pm checkin can be inconvenient if you arrive earlier. The english speaking receptionist started work at 4.00pm

The proprietors are a delightful couple quite concerned about making one's stay very pleasant. The hotel rooms are spartan and tight, yet still comfortable. Breakfast is excellent, and the husband patrols the breakfast room being sure that everyone is eating heartily. In the evenings, they offer local wines for sale, in full and half bottles, which one can enjoy in their cozy salon just above the ground floor. Parking is on site and free, though tight. Proximity to Beaune is very good, without having to deal with the difficulties of tight streets and limited parking.
