The hotel staff are very nice, the location I got a room on the 5th floor, the stairs up are quite exhausting even for a young person. I found a used ladies tampon on the room floor when entering the room the first time, rather disgusting (must have falled out when they were taking out the garbage). The room smelled bad and the wall-to-wall carpet looked like it had never been cleaned. Even the blanket smelled and looked very old. |

The hotel's proximity to the train station and the town centre made it very convenient. Although we didn't need it, parking and breakfast were available onsite. There was free wi-fi, and the room had an ensuite with shower and washbasin. Overall, it was adequately clean, if shabby, and I found the bed quite comfortable. Room and bathroom were a good size. Despite the ensuite, the toilet was in the hallway -- strange and less than convenient. Apparently this is a very French thing?? Overall there was suitable security (buzz code, 24/7 desk staff), but when we came back after the room had been cleaned, the cleaner had left the large windows fully open, with all our gear (including laptop) in full view of the buildings opposite, etc. -- we were on the floor above ground level, not really all that secure if someone really wanted to try to reach our room. Understandable that they might have wanted to air the stuffiness (it *was* a bit musty), but a bit alarming. We mentioned it to the staff at the desk as we checked out and they were apologetic. |

The staff was kind. For €80 I had expected a room with more comfort. Windows were leaking cold air and the room was almost completely filled with beds. |

The incredibly friendly staff. The old-style of the room I was given - I like the old charm versus "modern." The location was incredibly handy for me. I was given a room on the top floor and there is no elevator - but I accept that in an older European hotel and did not mind that much. |

Central position.Wi fi working(slowely, but...) ...ugh..it`s cheap for France, but the rooms are old and look a littl dirty. The toilet is on the corridor, the shower from the room is splashing in all directions and the sewage is cramped, transforming the shower tub in a foot bath. The walls seem made of paper...you can feel every move and sound around and the room trembles when the above neighbors move. The noise comes from the street, from the other rooms, from everywhere. Ah, not to forget: I took the room through booking.com and the hotel could not pre-check my credit card(don`t know why, their problem). For this reason, they threatened me in 10 emails that they cannot keep the room if i am not arriving in due time. "13 PM or th room is gone!"they said(where?!the hotel was rather empty..)Unfortunately, my plane really had a 4 hours delay and I was expecting to be confronted with a bad surprise at the hotel. But here no one seemed to know about the ultimatum sent over and over from the hotel... Off, fortunately I staid to Alexandra just one night... |

We only passed by and stayed for 1 night. Situated in the commercial heart of town, traffic free streets. Easy to reach: exit and entrance of highway nearby. In spite of many one way streets, easy to reach with gps (!). We (2 adults and 2 young children rented a room with one twin and two single beds. Parking lot on the spot. We stayed on the 4th floor and there is no lift. This is uncomfortable if you need to unpack a lot. |

close to the attractions; free wifi internet; I booked a non-smoker room, but it smelled really bad in the room. I think they gave me a smoker room. The building and the rooms seem pretty old; My room was on the first floor, so I couldn't have the windows open in a hot day; No air conditioner; Compared to the other hotel I stayed at in Lyon, this hotel has a bad quality with the same cost. |

The location is ideal, literally a few steps from a metro stop, and within walking distance of nearly every where you'd want to go in Lyon! |

We loved this hotel! The staff was very nice and the room was great. Shower in the room was good. Would definitely recommend! The shower was in the room but the toilet was outside of the room - this was a little odd. Also, be aware that even though the room itself is inexpensive, if you want to park there you have to pay an additional 14 Euros per night. |

The cost is very economical, especially for such a fantastic location. The staff is very friendly and helpful, happy to answer questions. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The furniture is a bit old, and there are a lot of stairs which older people might be concerned about. But I'll bet the staff would help anyone with luggage because they are so hospitable. |

Room is nice and clean. Location is very good, Close to 2 stations and the river Rhone. No lift, They gave me 5th floor room. It's vey difficult to go up with my bag. Shower in the room is very slow, and water come irregular direction not very enjoy with taking a shower. Staff are not very helpful just gave the key to us without giving any advises. Not valuable with my money at all. |
