Bus stop 1 l1
Dropped off bags, no ID to collect
No security, room key available with no ID
No shower door, poor curtain
No coffee cups, was told what's the problem with plastic.... Errr, burn your hands
Bed uncomfortable, sleeping in a hole
Room tired, paintwork and windows poor
Table cleared milliseconds after you go to get more breakfast
Do not disturb sign ignored as room was made when out
You have to hand in your key every time you leave the hotel and have to be buzzed in when you return. Frustrating when there are no staff on the desk and you are left waiting. Also, when asking for your key, you don't show any ID, just your name and number..... which everyone in the foyer can clearly hear, very insecure! Staff were pretty appalling, on the surface they are smiley but ask them anything and that soon evaporates. Ask for help with the bus and you are told there is internet in the foyer, thanks! Someone had used the last hot drinks cup for the coffee, asked for them to be replenished and the reply was "what's wrong with the plastic ones".... Err, how about they melt your hand off! The breakfast was ok except that if you leave your table for 0.5 milliseconds, the staff clear away every trace of evidence of your existence, 3/4 hot chocolate.... gone, half a bowl of cereal.... gone, pan au chocolate... forget it! You have to leave someone guarding your breakfast if you wish to see it upon your return to get a glass of juice. One day we left the "do not disturb" sign on the door all day as we wished for the room not to be disturbed... This was ignored as the bed was all made up when we returned, oh well, I guess they now better. The bed was in need of replacement as each side had a fairly noticeable crater to roll into each night.
Good location for the Republique metro, generally quite clean and tidy,
continental breakfast was fine.
